When I've fallen pregnant do I have to go back and see my gyno? He's not exactly my most favourite person in the world and he costs more money than my GP :o

I've just finished my 2nd cycle of clomid. My gyno has sent me for a blood test on day 21 to see if I ovulate and at what level. The first time I did a day 21 on clomid my level was 63. Very good result but no pregnancy. (50 is a good benchmark).

If I get a good level again he will write me another script without needing an appointment and I can do another cycle at the same dose.

If I didn't get such a good reading, I have to go and see him for an increased dose and I guess to talk to him about it. The appointment's the day I'm due for my period (wednesday 12 April). I hardly think he's going to double my dose so I'm getting a reading of 120 when 50 is the target so I doubt I'll be seeing him unless I get a positive pregnancy test reading.

If I am lucky enough to get a BFP :smiliedance: do I have to keep my appointment? I'd rather just go and see my GP because I'll be doing shared service with her anyway but seeing the gyno has been helping me TTC for about 6 months do I have to talk to him about anything?

Would be rude not to go back to him? He won't be delivering the baby unless he's in the public hospital at the time.

I thought maybe a thankyou letter would suffice? Would there be any medical reason I'd have to see him one last time?

thanks!!!!!!
