Hi,

Just wondering what people think of these breastpads and where the cheapest place to buy them in Sydney? I'm in Enmore (inner west), but preferably i'd like to purchase online.

Thanks :)

I asked the same thing when i bought mine and got really positive replies.

Unfortunately I didn't like them. I had quite a full supply of milk and when i fed from one breast the other breast would leak - ALOT. So my milk would pool in the lilypadz and when i peeled it off to feed the milk would spray everywhere. I couldn't wear them out, it was just too messy. I had to have a cloth handy to wipe up all the milk and it would end up on my clothes...which we all know leaves a mark. I only used them at home and then I just found them a pain and stuck to disposables. After washing them in soapy water they still looked murky to me.

If you don't leak very much I think these would be great. But they weren't for me.

ETA: I got mine online. I think from a babystore, can't remember. They were about $30

I had a very similar experience and just didn't trust them in the end, even for the times I knew they would probably work fine (around the house, popping out to the shops for milk etc.). If I used them, I would also be checking my top in a paranoid fashion. They were kind of useful for scaring my husband, though (when they're on, they really do make your nipples look quite hideous! :D)

I didnt end up liking them.

I paid around $40 for my pair.. I thought they sounded AMAZING, I just had to have them.

I have soft nipples, so they were comfortable to put on and wear, and looked good under clothes. BUT I would leak just a teeny bit (in the nipple bit, even after putting them on properly) and the milk would get really smelly :o

Seriosuly, this little bit of milk being steamed between me and some silicone... It was like I had a sock down my shirt. Only when I took them off though.

Baylee didnt like that though, she hated the smell and wouldnt latch on until I wiped it off.

I bought some for a wedding,..and quite liked them,... but I wouldn;t wear them every day,... You can buy them online from the Australian Breastfeeding Association,. I think that they were about $30,..and they were delivered within the week,. Alternatively, they have a shop at their headquarters at Castle Hill,...... Great for a strappy dress,...
