I Use Lux flakes and baby nappysan to soak stains in warm water.
I use a mix of huggies lavender and woolwash. Makes it smell nice and it feels really soft. I am not sure about the stains though, I have not really had anything that dirty-yet!
I use earths choice laundry liquid... its cheap, great on sensitive skin and good for the earth :D its not the best on stains, but does get most out.. if it doesnt then i do a soak in nappy san :)
I use OMO sensitive and always try to hang everything out in the sun to dry. Nothing better than sunlight to get rid of most stains.

Unless your baby has skin problems, I don't think it's a problem sticking their clothes in with yours.... just play it by ear.

I always wash bubs clothes separately from ours.
I use nappisan to whiten and Purity laundry liquid as it is sensitive and has no smell.
I just put them in with our clothes - I've never had a problem.

I always wash her clothes separately to ours, but I use the same detergent and softener. I just add some NappySan antibacterial to her wash. If we cotton wool everything we use for the babies, then they will never end up big and tough!!
I hang the clothes in the sun as well. The sunlight is good for killing off any bacteria that the wash didn't get
