View Full Version : Not very nice topic.....
Hi,
I dont know how to put this but to be blunt and to the point and I know its a very unpleasant topic but i am starting to get a bit worried......
so hear goes :o
I am 24 weeks now and have been experiancing well quite a bit of discharge, not brown or red at all but yellowish, I know that it does increase the further you get but I am just a little confused as too how much is "normal", if there is such a thing?? just the last week or so its quite watery, I know its grose sorry.....
just wondering if anyone else out there is experiancing the same????
thanks :o
Jiminy.
know what u mean! I found the whole discharge thingee whilst pg gross too & it finally settled more in the 3rd trimester...........just another of those fun things we have to deal with I'm afraid

No, I haven't experienced anything like you are talking about. I know it is normal in pregnancy to experience alot more mucous than usual, but I think it's better you go to the Dr for advice in this area, as they can run some tests to find out whether or not it is normal or perhaps an infection or some other explanation??? Sorry couldn't be of more help, but I do get alot of infections, and the best thing I have found is too go straight to the Dr to fix the problem, If any at all :)

Good morning!!!
Glad to see someone else with the same issues.....I am 26 weeks and have been suffering for a while...hehehehe....they say that if it starts to smell really aweful, then it could be an infection, however if not it is just normal pregnancy stuff!!!
Yuck!!! but all part of the job!!!!
hope all is going well!!

Besides the discharge etc. the thing that I found most alarming during my pregnancies is the leaking boobs.
But that is something else for you to look foward too. :)

Ah yes the joys of leaking from most orifices lol.
When I started leaking colostrom my midwife was very happy. She said that I had lots of oxytocin in my system which will help the birth. So I no complain.
It is pretty annoying having to wear thick bras or pads all the time just in case but this is nothing compared to what we'll be in for while breast-feeding :D
The body sure is a marvellous thing.
Oh lucky us ey?
Thanks at least i know i am not the only one!!!
and grubincubator you made me laugh out loud for about 5 mins with your ref to orifices...... hehehehehe
thanks again ladies...... :D
yeah bit of a gross topic but all normal unless it smells funny !
the last few weeks (im 36 wks now) i havent had as much which is great!!! something for 2nd tri girls to look forward to!
I'd still get it checked out and be thorough. There are things it can be other than infection and 'normal' so best talk to your dr and describe the colour, consistency and smell as best you can.
I didn't do this and potentially affected my dd birth because my 'discharge' had been amniotic fluid (from about week 36 so different time frame to you)
best to be safe
