How common is it for a child to still have reflux past 12mths of age ?
What age did your little one grow out of it ?

Hi Ally:wave:
DS would have been 15 months when I realised she hadn't brought back anything for awhile
Her refluxed gradually petered off.
DD would have been 2 since the last projectile vomit - which was related to reflux.
She did have gastro at 3.5 maybe, which had pjv and reflux again for awhile
Just to make you smile, when DD was about 4 months old I was travelling to Mums. DD hated travel, and also had a funny cough/burp that meant she was about to :barf:. I was on the freeway, but I knew I had to stop, so I pick a large grassy verge and pulled over. I whipped DD out of the car when I realise a copper had also stopped and was walking up to the car. He proceeded to dress me down about stopping on the freeway when DD pjv :barf:all over him. mmmm mmmm - freshly spewed Neocate dripping all over him. He looked down at his shirt, then at DD, told me to please move off asap, and walked back to his car:D.

My Ds1 still had it at 3 and has finally grown out of it. He still has a very sensitive smell and will chuck at a smell or site of something he doesn't like.

My DS was about 15 months also. He stopped it once I took him of AR formula and onto Soy Milk.

DS is almost 11months & still puking. It has improved heaps since we have started seeing a chiropractor - both the volume & frequency has dopped off, but it's still there.
Most do out grow by 12 months generaly the ones that dont are the ones with it really badly then even most of them grow out by 18 months
It realy depends what is causing it if it is just a weak lower esophigeal sfincter then as they stregthens then reflux reduces or goes away but if its bowel or neuro involvement then they dont know
12 months? 2 years? OMG that must be intense. :hugs: (mum to one who almost went mad and bub only had it for 6 months)
some have it for alot longer i know a 7 year old that is still terible reflux she is still J tube fed
