Im due in 8 weeks and trying to decide what nappies to buy once bub is here. I have already a few boxes of disposable newborn nappies and a couple of medium size but not enough to last very long just long enough to pick what cloth nappies I want. Iv already scoured the review section many times and its starting to do my head in. So being pregnant im just gunna be lazy and hope this is the easy way to get some answers. (keeping in mind I have a nearly 2 yr old just starting cloth but also in the process of toilet traing:fingerscrossed:. This is what I think I want:p- +mainly a osfa (birth-toilet training) but not too fussed about it
+pocket (as i dont realy want to be squirting poop of a insert:barf:)
+must have pul
+im thinkin snap buttons instead of velcro but again not too fussed
+price under $30
Im hoping theres a nappy out there like what iv just described above but atm im just sick at trying to find that nappy
Thanks

You could try Green Kids. They are a pocket nappy and they are OSFA and I have found them to be a great workman nappy so far. They are $23 each but inserts are more.

They do excellent packages. You can get a trial package for $68 which includes 2 nappies and various making them suitable for day and night use. Wouldn't bother with the funtimes but just go for 2 anytimes with bamboo inserts.

You can get a 6 pack for $138 plus inserts pack for $58 so just a bit over budget but still pretty good value.

They are velcro though, not snap closure.

The Itti Bittis are a great nappy but are not OSFA.

I haven't tried bumgenius yet. Hope to soon.

i use MCN's made by a good friend of mine (a SAHM) ...they are EXCELLENt and affordable. I think that finding a nappy thats right for your baby is the hardest thing. I like the ones i use because they are so easy to use and also they fit really well..

pm me if u want her contact

Also i think the fact that there are so many different companies and what not out there these days makes it even harder hey. Goodluck on your nappy hunt

i'm not using cloth anymore.... because we don't have a washing machine... but i wish i discovered itty bitty earlier. They are easy to use small and absorbant. But I have a girl who is not a heavy wetter. I was using beehinds and these are good, but i got a bit sick of using a cover. If I was to start my stash again for a new baby i would buy more itty bitty and ones like them. They are like a pocket but you dont have to stuff them, just clip the insert in the cover. I like this style. good for an older baby.

for a new born i used terry flats and fleece inserts (just cut up fleece to fit) I jjust reserached a heap of nappy folds. I didnt really use a cover for a new born except at night or when she slept since we changed her so often.

I agree with GreenKids as being a really viable option. :)
