I am 5 weeks prego and i have a 16month old bub, i am finding over the last couple of days i am absolutley exausted:sleeping:
My bub only sleeps once a day in the morning and as you all know there always ten thousand things to do around the house, my question is does anyone have any aadvise on how to get some rest with a little one in the house or how i can get some more energy?
Sorry for the silly question but i honestly need some rest and just cant find a way to get some:confused:

Not a silly question at all!!

I found Play with Me Sesame street a GODSEND!! Just find a show your 16 month old likes and buy a dvd or record it as many times as you can on a video and put it on. Lay down on the couch with bubs on the floor in their own chair and voila!! Instant rest!!

Worked for me!

Hi, I remember being there too!! :o
I used to take a nap when ds did in the arvo. And I would usually fall asleep on the lounge in the evening too  You know what though. Let the housework go a bit. You need rest. It can wait!! :hugs:

Hi Lovinmum,

As the other very intellegent women have said 'Forget the housework', you have precious cargo on board and running around who need you to be healthy. Sit down and relax, yes the housework needs to be done but not right now.

Put a dvd/video on let bub watch while you lay on the couch giving bub #2 a breather. And intern re-energising yourself.:smiliedance:

I have sent you a pm. :yelclap:

hi luvinmum,
You must be feeling like i was a few weeks ago...I was hoping it would just be 1st trimesester tiredness, but at 24 weeks i am still tired.
What I was doing with my dd I would childproof a whole area of the house, and then set up activity corners, starting with a dvd, then pencils and papers, boxes, toys, whatever and then also putting right beside me anything she might need for the next hour or so, snack, drink, water, nappie and wipes etc, so i was prepared for anything and kinda of just do it 1/2 asleep!!!:D
cheers jas

Sleep when your 16mth old sleeps, forget the housework/chores for a few weeks as you will probably have a bit more energy once you hit the 2nd trimester.

I'm 8 weeks pregnant. I so know what you mean about being tired. It isn't easy being pregnant with another one hey. I don't have much advice for ya just that I'm struggling throughout the day.
