Negative BT, for PG???

Ok here's the problem :rolleyes:

Obviously im TTC, my period has been a bit irregular since i stopped the pill in december.
My Cycle has lasted 33 days dec-jan and last cycle was 31 days jan-feb.

But so far this cycle is on day 33, have had 4 neg HPT and a negative BT taken on saturday just gone.

I have no sign of AF at all, and both my last 2 cycles which were late i had slight spotting still. And i dont now.

So what do i do now?

Should i go back to my doc on thursday and ask for another BT??

So confused!!! :confused:

Any help, advice and support is welcome.

Yeah, I would wait a few more days and if your AF hasnt yet come, I'd go back for another test!:fingerscrossed:

Hi mel,

Sorry to hear of your neg results,but when you had the blood test you would only have been 12 DPO so that could have been to early to pick up anything. I would definately go back in a few days if af still hasn't been.

Its all so confusing cause by my calculations (watching cm) im 19DPO today, but going by my chart (based only on my last 2 cycles) im 13DPO????

Hope i find out soon!

Ok just found out the HCG levels from saturdays test, where i would have been either 12DPO or 17DPO, not sure really.
And the levels were less that 1!!!

So is it still possible that im pg and just have low levels??

Still have no sign of AF at all!!!! :banghead:

Weeks 17 to 24, 4,060 to 165,400
Weeks 25 to birth of baby 3,640 to 117,000
4 to 6 weeks after birth Less than 5

So if i was 12 DPO it is still possible :rolleyes:

But this info says other wise????

A quantitative hCG (also called a beta hCG) test will measure the amounts of hCG in the blood.



3 weeks gestational age: 5 - 50 mIU/ml

4 weeks gestational age: 5 - 426 mIU/ml

5 weeks gestational age: 18 - 7,340 mIU/ml

6 weeks gestational age: 1,080 - 56,500 mIU/ml

7 - 8 weeks gestational age: 7, 650 - 229,000 mIU/ml

9 - 12 weeks gestational age: 25,700 - 288,000 mIU/ml

13 - 16 weeks gestational age: 13,300 - 254,000 mIU/ml

17 - 24 weeks gestational age: 4,060 - 165,400 mIU/ml

25 - 40 weeks gestational age: 3,640 - 117,000 mIU/ml

Non-pregnant females: <5.0 mIU/ml

Postmenopausal: <9.5 mIU/ml



Keep in mind that hese numbers are only a guideline. Each and every woman’s hCG levels can rise differently. The level itself does not matter nearly as much as the rate of change in the level.

I get a little bit lost with all that Mel back I think if you wait the few more days and still no AF I would definately go back to the doctor. Specially based on the last few cycles you have had.

If you did o later than you think then it wouldn't come up yet, I really am :fingerscrossed: that it will be a bfp in a few days for you. I have heard from a few people on here that they have had tests both hpt and blood tests that haven't shown up positive till 3 weeks late. So i wish you the very best of luck.:hugs:
