Hi
My friend is have twins (B/G) and doesnt have the internet and wanted some opinions on her baby names she has picked, they are
Shanna Atiana (shan-nah, At-tea-anna) and
Travis Landon
She is a big fan of Meet The Barkers
Katie
Atiana Shanna sounds better and i like Travis!

Travis is nice.
I think I would go with Shannon, rather than Shanna. The girl is going to spend a good part of her time correcting everybody that it's not Shannon (at least they sound very very close in my opinion). And I admit I'm a traditionalist for names.

Pretty enough, but not without a downside:
The "na A" in the middle of the two names is awkward to pronounce. You have to come to a full stop then start up again with the same vowel - which feels (physically) a bit clumsy, especially with the other vowels following the T in quick succession.
Also.. well... to paraphrase Sarah Vaughn: Shanna Atianna, banana, fe fi do dana, Shanna.
That's just my $.02, of course

I think swap them around too. Atianna Shanna  just my thoughts! :)

PMSL
I don't like either of the girls names. I you have to write the pronunciations for the name you're asking for trouble.
I just think naming a brother and sister after a married couple could cause a bit of teasing.
I agree.....

Hmmm i agree with Mister Noodle on this one. It is awkward to pronounce. I quite like Travis but im not too keen on Landon.
I agree with the others that Shannon is a lot better than Shanna.

I agree with all the above about pronounciation and married couples. It sounds good now but whats it going to sound like in 5 years? Or when the kids are teenagers? Its not fair on them. No offence to your friend but just because they are twins they don't have to have matching names too. Why not call them shake and bake or itchy and scratchy :D
I really like the name Travis. For the girl how about just one of her favourites? Shanna something or Atiana something? Or maybe something similiar but different? Atiana reminds me of Tatiana the athlete. Thats a nice twist on it.
TRAVIS - yes
SHANNA - no (maybe Shania or Shannon or Shannay)

does the poor kids never want to find their names of cups or doorplates.
travis you could find but wouldn't little shanna have a problem if her brother could fnd his and she couldn't. shannon is more likely to be easily found. that is one of the reasons i called my dd elizabeth. so many people i know said that was one of the thinks they hated about their names. my sisters name is pauline and when paulini was on australia idol she used to get called paulini alot and now you can find nameplates with paulini on them but not pauline.
