I think I've ruined my cover ...

About a week ago I put one of my PUL covers in the drier, since then ds's wees have been leaking though the material, not around the legs or up the front.

It's not happening with any other covers, just the one that went through the drier.

Have I ruined it? Can it be saved?

PUL as a rule can go in the drier and even likes an occasional spin in the drier to keep it working well. Of course it might depend on the PUL as some can be better than others. Leaking through the material can be due to detergent build up or an over saturated nappy. The Bummis web site has a good section on PUL leaks and what can cause them which might help you. For what it's worth all my PUL covers, pockets, etc have been through the drier heaps and heaps and they all work perfectly.

it also depends on how hot the dryer was. pul can only be dried on a low heat - not a hot hot dryer.

You'd think that as a laminated plastic (don't get me wrong, I like pul and it's quite breathable IMO) there is still the ability to melt it or cause it to break down at high temperatures... maybe the drier was too hot. I don't know if there's anything you can do about that one.. :no:
