View Full Version : Anyone else Breastfeeding a toddler?
Hi!
I am still bfeastfeeding my 14 month old son, and we are both loving it.
I am finding a whole new dimension to nursing now he is older, it seems as though he nurses less for hunger or thirst, and a lot more for just the closeness, or for emotional security.
I plan to let him self wean, whenever that may be.

Nice to meet you too!
I'm still breastfeedinging Erik he is turning 3 years old next month, I also wanted him to self wean, but sometimes I get a little annoyed so I just let him have little sucks if I feel that way, he does accept this and it's no stress for both of us.. He still always have a morning feed.

Hi there,
I am still breastfeeding my nearly 12 month old and I can't see it ending any time soon as she loves it. A few people have commented that she is to old now but I don't care cos she's mine and I do what I think is right for us.
I will also stop when she is ready.

Hi there,
Good to see there a few others around. I am still feeding my nearly 15 month daughter as well. I do have people tell me that i shouldn't be feeding her any more and when I ask why, they have no answer. I too will let her self wean, but can't see it happening any time soon, we both still love it too much, it is also stopping me from starting up smoking again.

Hiya :)
I breastfed my DD until 19mths, when she just didn't really want it anymore.
I never had any really negative experiences with feeding her for that long, actually, my grandmother was the most supportive LOL she loved the fact that I was breastfeeding :)
