To the girls that decided to find out the sex of their baby -

How would you explain how it looked for a girl or boy? How did the sonographer explain it to you?

I can only tell you about girls, because that's all I've got. But the doc described it as looking for 3 parallel lines (which is their little vagina). He must have described it well, because with DD2, I saw those 3 parallel lines while the unltrasound was being done and knew she was a girl before the big announcement :thumbsup:

MY DP spotted the willy sticking out on the ultrasound at 17 weeks.

On the 19 week one you can see it clear as day, there's two legs and a little willy sticking out. There's no mistaking it. I would upload it but its only on film, I don't have an actual pic.

Funniest thing you ever saw.

yep at mine they called it the macdonalds shot the big M use your imagination!! hope they are right...if not my child has a very small weiner :D

With my DS it was so obvious at the 18 weeks scan. There was no missing it.
This time around they said she was a girl and I had been very sceptical until the scan I had at 33 weeks. It was very obvious she was a girl then.

Thanks so much ladies, it's really easy to envision those descriptions and also from the ultrasound pictures I've seen on the net, it shouldn't be that hard to determine the sex if the baby is in the perfect position (which mine was). My sonographer said it's a girl at my 20 week u/s, but there wasn't three parrallel lines, there were more like three white dots SO I'm still thinking it's going to be a boy - I just can't get that 15 week 3D ultrasound out of my head that looked like a little boy with the whole package!!!! That's what I get for studying the video too hard :rolleyes:

Oh well I guess time will tell who's right :eek:
