This year, the end of term break and Easter have not coincided, meaning we can look at it positively as having the luxury of 4 days off and then only a few weeks after that, we have our school holidays.
How has that affected your usual holiday activity at this time of year?

Nothing has affected me, DH only gets the Easter Break public holidays off. Only travelling to the family, they are only 45 mins away and we'll be home that night.
So no, not really doing anything. We had a family holiday last week for a few days instead.

Although we don't have school age children to consider, we've decided to go away AFTER both Easter and the school holidays - on April 20th!

We are lucky we are going away the week before easter. Our friends are getting married in Vanuatu - Le Legon. So we have saving lots and are looking forward to a week in the sun before getting home just in time for easter with the family.

We are going to Vanuatu too, but on a family holiday on April 20th, can't wait!!:smiliedance:
Hope you enjoy your trip and the wedding!!

In Tasmania the kids get 10 days off for Easter so we will be going to the inlaws for a few days after the Easter weekend.
The term holidays don't start until June so we will take the kids away for a few days just to break it up so they don't get too bored.

Good Friday is only a Bank holiday here..go figure! Planning a road trip across the country for 3 days. Well, it is a small country!!;)
Growing up we always went away at Easter, cos it used to be 5 days then. Was kinda our last holiday till maybe September or Christmas and last of the decent camping weather.

No school aged kids in this house , DF only gets the Easter Break public holidays off. Only travelling to the family, they are 5hrs drive away, leaving good friday and returning easter monday. Frist big trip with our daughter, hope she goes okay. Planing lots of stops, so maybe a longer trip, then 5 hrs.

I'm actually quite happy that the Easter Break and school holidays have worked out to be separate.
We will be visiting my parents over the Easter weekend, they're on the Central Coast an hour north of us.
Then in the school holidays, we'll visit my MIL, who is about 5 hrs drive from here north again. Hubby will have to use up some of his holiday leave over that time... but it'll work out well for us.
I think the Easter weekend is much busier on the roads then the school holidays.
Our youngest two travel better at night time, so the plan is to leave around their bedtime.

I like to drive as little as possible over Easter, just because I think there are lots of people trying to get places fast and partying hard....not a good combo!
My friend decided to drive to Bundaberg one year to see family, but instead of the 3 and a half hours it normally takes, it took her 7!
I imagine the grandparents will all want a piece of the kids at some time or other, though.

Both DP and I are working over both, so staying home it is :)
