3 Weeks ago I gave birth to a set of all girl triplets with identical twins thrown in there too!

They are coming home in a week from tomorrow and i'm starting to freak out about routines, sleep (mine too) feeding etc

I already have a 4 yr old daughter and a 2 yr old son, but this is just sooo different...Just wanting to see if anyone has been in same situation, any tips for me, for my sanity and peace of mind.

Well you are sure going to have your hands very full :)

All I can suggest is take any help that is offered to you as you will need it, whether it is from family, friends, nurses, or neighbours.

A lady who had the same as you triplet girls with identical twins chicked in and she had a 2 year old at home said that she asked all her family and friends if they could help out and actually had them on a roster so that she had someone there with her when her hubby wasn't, she said that it was working pretty well and the babies are pretty settled now and are all sleeping through the night ( born dec 04) but she said it was hard.

If you don't have family close by maybe your could ask your local council/nurse if they have this kind of help available.

Good luck and congratulations! :)

Hi

I agree with mumof2girls. Take all help that is offered because it will probably be hard work looking after 3 newborns and 2 young kids aswell. So take up any offers and try not to stress out.

Hi triplets, have you searched the net for support groups in your area? Im sure the multiple birth assoc could give you heaps of positive advice on multiples and certainly wouldnt pressure you into choosing which baby to keep and which to not, i bet the drs pressuring you to do have never understood what it is like to be pregnant, how can they ask a mother to make that choice? All for one and one for all! :pps i think you are super brave and strong for facing such an awesome, but special task :)

If I was as blessed as you are with your three girls, (as well as your other children) I would be doing a newspaper article calling for hands on help/support from your local community. Having three little babies as well as older children is a very very demanding situation to be in. I'm sure if you go through the right channels that you'll be pleasantly surprised what support you will receive.

Wow! Good luck with your awesome new additions, thats a lot of work. Just wondering if you don't mind how premmie were they and what did they weigh?
My first was only 5 weeks premmie, but I'm terrified of this next one being more than that, as the first just came early for no reason.

Guys - just to let you know - this is a VERY old post and the original poster hasn't been back since then, so it's unlikely that she's read your messages.
