DD is 13 months old and still has one bottle of formula before bed. I'm trying to wean her off that last bottle and give it to her in a cup instead. She doesnt seem to fussed about losing the bottle but...she takes a sip from the cup and realises that it's her milk but won't drink more than a couple of mouth fulls.
She has a very healthy diet and does have cow's milk with her cereal. At her age with a good diet does she really NEED a whole cup of formula a day?

By 13 months I had stopped all formula, as you said if she has a healthy varied diet she doesn't need it. As long as she's getting her calcium thru other sources I day give it up. When I phased out the night bottle which was the last one I got rid of, I tried giving her milk in a cup, and she wasn't fussed, so I just stopped giving her anything. We just read a book and she goes off to bed.

I stopped giving DD formula just as soon as the last tin ran out after she turned 1 (so about 2 weeks after she turned 1).
I tried a tin of toddler formula after that... but it's expensive and she didn't even really like it.
I just switched to cows milk. Much cheaper and easier.
my little one is nearly 13 months and has about 600ml- 800ml of milk a day. mostly karicare toddler but a little cows milk. and a yogurt or cheese or both somedays.
im in no hurry to stop it. good for his teeth and good for his bones.
