In regards to your other post, we are all ok now. I ended up with infected throat and I am on antibiotics. It was a killer.
Isn't it adorable when they go to sleep hugging. Thats just gorgeous

Laine Wow London how exciting, sounds as if your all prepared:smiliedance:

Girlies I have some exciting news... no not pregnant:p Shakyla was crawling on all fours backwards (as she does) and she got herself into the sitting up position. Everytime we put her down she sits back up after a while:yelclap: Gives us all a big smile like she knows she is clever:laughing:

brb gotta check the other thread to respond as I have been away.

Hi sorry with everything going on I didn't actually get a chance to say welcome.
Did I get it right that your still BF?

Welcome Andymum

Jules First haircut, he has hair like DS had although I didn't cut it until a month before his birthday. I was hoping for curls but all he has straight hair.

Leanne and Toni I hope all those horrid bugs have left your houses! When you have more than 1 it's a lot harder because you can't just have a nap when tired or sick because you have other children to take care of. Hugs hugs to both of you!

OLT - Congrats to little Shakyla on being able to sit up, the cheeky little bugga!! I love seeing them learn new things. Makes it all worth while huh.

Laine - hah you have put your foot in it now... now that you have offered you might end up with 3 stragglers on your door step. Well no probably not, we wont be travelling any where for quite some time yet.

Feeling great this morning after our big day at the races yesterday. Sleep is a wonderful thing isnt it! We were in a marquee and there was pletny of drink and lunch provided. You should have seen all the prawns and oysters OMG there was mass amounts. Totally blew me away. Not that I eat either of those things, but there were lots of yummies to be had.

Brissy Girls - We should organize a day like that one time. Was GREAT!!

Hello Ladies!

We went out to one of my cousins 21st Birthdays last night.....Was a good night....DH stayed till around 10 and then brang the boys home as Bailey was getting really tired and I stayed there with the girls till midnight. I saw one of my cousins that I have not seen in about 5 years. It's crazy because he lives about 8 hours away and we still never see each other.

DD1 and DD2 were going to stay at my sisters and then DD1 and my nephew came back to the hall with my sis and asked if the nephew could stay at our house.....When I called DH to pick us up I told him that DD1 was at my sisters and that they were alone with no parents home and there was my 2 nieces and DD1 there with about 6 boys. So when he dropped me and the kids back home he went straight over and picked DD1 up to come home....She was not happy but we won't leave her in a house full of boys and no parents around. Not with what you hear about what boys can do at there ages these days.

Leanne - How are you feeling now? Almost or 100% better I hope.

Andymum- Welcome to the July 07 group...I'm sure you will fit in, in no time.

Jenn - We have not taken a road trip yet with 4 kids....But we do 1 hour travels to our nearest big shopping town and the kids are pretty good with that.

Julz - Awwww can't wait to see the pics. Have you taken any yet?

Kristyn - Hope little Aliek is over all this teething business soon. For a while anyhow.

Jennie - Good to hear that Tali is doing well. Hope you had better nights sleep after you came back from mums place.

Boymum - Glad to hear that B is over her cold and that you are feeling good again as well.....Hope that little rascal of yours settled down for you.

Nat - Hope all goes well with your move to London and you don't miss Australia to much. I would love to some day go for a visit over that way.....One of my cousins is currently over there for a 2 year working holiday with his G/F. He is having a great time.

Tara - Great to hear Lochie is back to the norm again and it was only a once off.....It lets you down though when it happens as you are wondering and hoping that it is not going to continue. Good to hear you had a good day out yesterday. Didi you have Lochie with you or?

Shilo - Hope you are feeling better now that you have the antibiotics. Awsome news on Shakyla sitting up by herself...Bailey still isn't sitting up but I don't hink it will be to far off now as he is doing everything out.

I use B.O.Z. cream for the kids when they get really bad rashes.....It is a Gold Cross brand and you can get it at the chemist.......I swear by this cream even the worst of the kids rashes are settled down dramatically with it. Hope you find something that works well soon. I hate seeing kids in that much pain from rashes.....DS1 used to get them like that really bad when he was little as well. It breaks your heart.

Edited my post :)

02-03-2008, 11:23
Me too Kristyn :D

Toni - Hope you didnt have tooo many drinks last night at the party. Would have been good without the kids for a few hours so you could "let your hair down" And NO i didnt have Lochie with us yesterday, he went to mums for the day, and she dropped him home when we got home. Gosh you dont realise how much you miss them until you are away from them, and it was only for 10 hours or something. Shhheeeshh.

Jennie - With Tali's red bum, try and give her as much "pants off play time" as possible.
Probably a bit harder now that she is on the move, she might end up weeing everywhere.
But to air it out is probably the best thing. Lochie hasnt had a rash for a long time, since the early BF days actually, and I found that sudocrem was the best, as it seemed nice and thick, and gave a good barrier to protect it. Oh alot of people are against it, but I also use paw paw cream on alot of things, bites, rashes, chapped skin etc. So that might do the trick as well??
The clothies are probably better than sposies SO LONG AS you change her as soon as she is wet, unless of course you are using liners to draw the wetness away from her butt.
Try pants off for as long as you can
I hope you are feeling better yourself, and that once tali's teeth settle, the rash does as well.

i have some pawpaw cream i have been putting it on her and its kinda working, last time she a nappies free time she poo everywhere, brenden through it so funny ,but i will try that she never had a rush like this its bad .

TJ
02-03-2008, 11:50
Thats hilarious about pooing everywhere Jennie, Just keep an eye on her, but I really think that the air is probably the best thing for it.

toni796
02-03-2008, 11:58
Jennie - As long as your changing her nappies often like Tara said than it should not be a problem using the cloth still.....Also you could give her a few bottom bathes with just water without any bath wash to get all the urine off her skin and away from the rash....Other than that nappy free time and try different creams until you find the one that works the best.

Tara - I only had 4 cans of jim beam and coke so didn't drink to much....Didn't want to get out of bed though this morning lol. DS1 has only been away from home for 1 night and the next day and boy did it feel strange not having him around, was so happy to see him when we got home.

TOni - Glad you had a great night out! And yeah wise move picking up your daughter .... you never know what could happen these days :(

Jennie - I used HEMP Cream on Tyras bum when she had bad bad bad nappy rash from teething. You can get it from the Body Shop, my consultant at home recommended it and it worked a treat! I hope it gets better soon. Also cloth nappies are apparently alot better than sposies for nappy rash :) i Also agree with Toni Bottom baths are excellent for this

TJ - Thanks ;) Hope your doing well

Well today i got aleik down for a OVER AN HR sleep WOOT this is a big achievement lol. He doesnt sleep much during the day so this over an hr sleep was so good. hello  thanks for the invite toni :D so I guess y'all have another newbie :smiliedance: is anyone else here still nervous about giving solids? I have been giving dd solids but unsure if Im doing it properly (my first cant you tell lol) Im also moving in less than 3 months back to sydney which is stressful anytime but with a bub even more so so that means a lot more organising anyway just though I pop in and say hi (will be back though - you have been warned lol :devil6:) till next time

Welcome to the thread mumnbub......
What are you currently feeding bubs solid wise and when. Give us a run down of your day with her feeds and breast/bottle feeds.....We will work on it and let you know what we think and what we give our bubs to eat. WE have a pretty close group here and try and help each other out as much as posible.

mumnbub
02-03-2008, 22:55
usually fresh fruit and freshly cooked veges at home twice a day (farex in the morning often with mashed banana or pureed fruit) I think she has to be feed 3 times a day now also have had a look online and in books that I can now feed her meat and veges sometimes with cheese im not great at cooking but want to avoid buying the jarred food (besides being expensive I feel home made is healthier and it will get her use to my cooking) as I said im not a great cook (examples are setting waffles on fire and making rock cakes into real rocks lol) I also bottle feed (couldnt breast feed) which I bottle feed her 5 times a day (190 mls a time) so how does everyone else coping with solids? (p.s aint the poos different :barf:lol)

HI Mumnbub :) Welcome to the July mummies.

Yes you are right giving 3 solid meals as day at this age. SO LONG AS she seems interested and is eating them.Your choice of foods sound perfect to me.

I give Lachlan 1.5 Weetbix in the morning for breakfast.
fruit, youghurt or a vegemite sandwhich for lunch
and then vegies, or vegies and meat, some times even pasta etc for Dinner
He is only having 3 x 200ml bottles per day.

And about home made food, stick with it, dont switch to jars, I did recently as I went away for a few days, and now Lochie wont even touch the vegies I make. Especially if they are just vege and no meat. Fruit is ok, but not plain vegies the little bugga!
and the pooo...... ewww YUKO, there are some different colours appearing down there thats for sure :vomit:

Okay will try again! GRRR!!!

Riley is still a nightmare at night. I don't know what's happened. He was doing so good when we left the sleep clinic. I have also decided I have to be a hard a** now and not let him in bed with me anymore. Instead of putting him in bed with me after the 2nd time he wakes, I have to persist with it, and he will soon learn. I did that last night - I was up about 5 times though! Even when I do put him in bed with me, he's still a wriggler. I'm a little  at work this morning though.

there's gotta me more teeth coming i think. Red cheeks for a few days, dribbling - but then it goes for a few days then comes back? I can't feel the top teeth yet...I have no idea. WIth the bottom ones, I could see lumpy gums, but there's nothing like that atm.

He's crawling so fast now - and into everything. Down the passageway, he pulls himself up onto the couch and coffeetable, so everything has to be out of his reach now. I think he's going to be an early walker.

Jennie - maybe try some Emu Oil Soap or Goats milk soap on her whilst bathing her. You can get these from health shops or chemists I believe. Riley had a bit of ezema a while back and the emu soap cleared it up within 2 days. I use it on him everyday now to prevent occurances. It's great stuff and has done wonders for mine too.

Laine - wow London. We are going to Penang at the end of April and can't wait. Will be interesting to see how Riley is on the plane - he can't sit still for 1 minute. Although take off time is around arvo sleep time, so I will delay his bottle to take off, and hopefully that will help his ears and he might go to sleep.

Mumnbub - Welcome to the july 07 mummies. Aren't our bubs just growing so quickly?

TJ - Riley is the opposite and hates the jar dinners. I've only found about 2 he likes, he gags on the rest. He loves his homemade vegies and i usually do a mix of pasta, chicken and white sauce and he loves it. But the jarries come in handy when i forget to get the vegies out the freezer or if we're going away. We are going away this weekend (it's a long weekend in SA) so jar food it is!!

Mummy2207 - What are you giving for morning and afternoon teas and lunch? I'm thinking Riley needs at least an afternoon one, as he's sometimes so hungry before 5pm - he's also a BIG boy. I tried him with a bit of Kiwi Fruit yesterday so that's an option. He loves an arrowroot bikkie, but I would like those as occasional treat. He usually has a small banana and yogurt for lunch. Also, how many mls are the bottles you give?

JorBai - Glad you're enjoying your time with your friend.

I'm sorry if I've missed anyone.....Has anyone tried giving their bubbas cooked carrot sticks to munch on yet? What about cheese sticks?

Well I best be off - I'm at work - so I'd better do just that. At least using the net is easier here, it's so much faster than at home. I give up at home now, that's prob also why i'm not on much anymore. I live in a well established suburb and they can still only manage wireless, and it's slow and crapola!

:hugs:

this is what I have read and also have been told by community nurse that I was told not to give vegemite to dd as it has a high salt intake and wheetbix has a high sugar intake. My advice is to get proffessional advice regarding this. Also there has been a recent study that apple juice can increase decay in childrens teeth (bub can have stewed apple - dd has she loves it)

mmmmm interesting - I wouldn't of thought weetbix has heaps of sugar. I t hought they're supposed to be one of the healthiest cereals around.

TJ - what do you use for Lochies weetbix? formula? I found when i tried it, it went very gluggy.

I've been giving DS pear juice the past couple of days, he's been abit backed up from the medication he's on for his cold/cough.

Hey, can I just make normal porridge for Riley now, from oats??

our little treasures
03-03-2008, 11:22
Hi guys..

I am giving DD weetbix and porridge but I use quick outs as once cooked it's really fine. I also starting using a dash of milk with water

DD is also on lumpy foods, as for the Vegemite's I won't start using that as I really do believe it is far too salty and salt is a huge worry for me personally. I give dd plain toast and cut into 3's like soldiers that way she can get a grip. Don't forget they have more taste buds and I really couldn't imagine how salty the vegemite tastes.

Shakyla usually gets homemade but also has the odd fresh baby food from the fridge at coles.

Cheese well I started Shakyla on cheese. I cut slices from the block of tasty and she nibbles on that. Also apple, carrot and the normal foods. I don't cook the carrot though. DH and I always sit next to her while she eats as I don't want her to choke.

Thanks to everyone for being happy for shakyla's new milestone of sitting:D

TJ the poops, oh I know FERAL! I so love BF poops

Leanne- Isn't it great having a good friend around, keep having fun

TJ

mumnbub - The weetbix actually have less sugars than most of the jars of fruit that are available. Check out the nutrional panel on the back of both. There are also kids weetbix available, that have even further reduced salt and sugar. My GP reccomend I try it for breakfast so Im not too worried seeing as she is a professional.

Mum2riley - Yes I just use formula with the weetbix, I give 1.5 weetbix, and generally make up 120ml of milk. I normally add 90ml and mix it all up so its sloppy, and then gradually add the rest as I go if I think its getting a bit on the gluggy side.
Im not using real cows milk yet, even tho its not recommended to use formula milk in cooking, but seeing as its not "cooked" as such I think its fine.
I also give lochie steamed carrot sticks, beans, cucumber etc etc.

In regards to the vegemite being high in salt, its generally just the teeny tiniest bit that I put on his sandwhiches, maybe about 5% of the amount that I would have for myself, then again I dont like much anyway.
One serving of Vegemite (5g) has about the same amount of salt as a slice of bread, so if they are having toast, there is nothing to worry about with the vegemite, this is also what my GP told me.
Check out your next loaf of bread and compare.

TJ
03-03-2008, 16:59
Sorry mum2riley - yep you can also make normal porridge from the oats, I dont know if it would be ideal to use the formula or not? Or if you should use normal cows milk and water.
Im not game enough to use cows milk yet.

Hi Girls,

Well as you all know Brianna has had some issues with being unsettled and what not.

She's off to the Paediatricians in about 2 and half weeks, have to wait but at least not too long.

Dr. today said it looks like Allergies, maybe even to her Lactose Free Formula now too...how confusing. I will keep her on it though as I don't like to change her around on formulas until I talk to the Paed.

Welcome Mumnbub, sounds like your bubby eats very well. Oh and as for Vegemite, meh...in my opinion it's fine in small amounts very sparingly and Weetbix are too. As TJ mentioned Weetbix have a low sugar content compared to a lot of baby fruit jars etc. Dr's and Health Nurses all have different opinions on food I think.

TJ - Lochie o'kay tonight? His head?

Mum2Riley - how is Riley's cold/cough going?

Miss you here Leanne, glad you are having fun with your friend though, awww nice.

Better go, want to get some stuff done.

Mum2Riley, oh poor wee man ( and you too ) I sure do hope you can get him into a god routine soon so you can get some sleep. Hopefully some ttoothies pop through andhe settles down again. Arggh dont you hate when you spend so long a post only to lose it, I have done that many times.

HI there mumnbub welcome to the July thread, hope you enjoy chatting here!!

Leanne missed you today, hope you are enjoyinh having your friend stay!

Oh Jeni Poor wee Tali, nappy rash is horrible, have you been using cornflour as well, I love cornflour for rashes dry them up so qucikly. Other than that if it get REALLY bad, like blood and all then you might want to visit the doctor. Incase it is fungal which if that is the case you would need and anitfungal cream. Probably not, it's most likely just from teething hopefully it subsides when the teeth cut through.
Hope your colds go away soon.
Zeke pooed everywhere the other day too when I thought I'd be nice and give him nappyfree time.man it was gross he even managed to eat some :barf:

Toni - Woohoo good on you for having a night with the girls I am glad you enjoyed yourself. You do miss your babies when they are gone for the night though hey, havnet been able to do that with Zeke yet, too much of a mummies boy!.
And haha re your DD I wouldn't want to leave my DD with a bunch of boys either, kids get up to mischief. I am still young enough to remember the things we used to get up to if left on our own!!

Kristyn - Our routine is similar to yours, unless of course if we are out for the day then it is just completely random lol! Also he sleeps for longer than Aleik, yay for Aleik sleeping longer yesty, did he do the same today?

Ange how did you go at the doctors today, with B??

You know what, girls I reckon do your research on foods then weigh up the pros and cons then make your decision.

I wouldn't listen to what CHN or GPs say, half the time they are full of cr@p (and out of date) , so try and do some research online if you have time.

I know TJ and some other girls here have done alot of research so their info should be pretty up to date but if you are really concerned then doing your own investigation should make you feel more confident about what you are putting in bubs mouth.

I only say so because sometimes even on here advice can be conflicting therefore confusing you even more.
In saying that I haven't done alot of research myself lol, but am going with instinct with bubs and every decision I make this time. I just think instinct is a real thing and does mean something. IYKWIM, like sometimes I do something and then I feel instantly like this sinking feeling in my gut like it is telling me that was a bad decision so don't do it again ( for ex: when I gave Zeke a dummy once it just didn't feel right for us, so I stopped forcing it on him, not that there is anything wrong with them I just didn't think it was theright thing for us).
Zeke wont be having weetbix for a while yet because he has only been on solids for a month so I don't think he is quite ready for it yet, plus I don't want to use formula or cows milk to make it, expressing is time consuming too, so call me lazy lol!!
He has had a hint of vegemite on toast a couple of times and thought it was fab.
I am just taking things slowly this time, trying new things out every week. I am sure by the time he is one he'll be eating anything and everything (within healthy reason lol) so I am not too phased by it all - Other than obvious allergy foods like peanut butter etc that wont be introduced for awhile yet.
Ok now that I have rambled a whole heap of blaaaaagh I'll shut up:o

Good night to all, lots of luv and hugs!!

Thank-you Julz, it was nice for B to be so happy today yes...

THe Dr. was not helpful at all actually and didn't seem too concerned about it (he's not our usual Dr. couldn't get in to see the better ones). I left in tears and called the Paeds asap, they are trying to get me in earlier for her. All the Dr. said was well it's not normal (her poops and vomits) and the blood could be an allergic reaction thing, nothing he can deal with. Argh. Poor Brianna.

Oh and how is the nappy rash going today for Tali Jen? clearing up I hope.

Bedtime for me now, thanks again for asking Julz. It's nice to be able to talk to you girls even if you can't help, just talking to someone helps me :) brings you down sometimes when your bub isn't going so well.

Ange - Blood in her stools definately means she is allergic/intolerant to cows & soy protein .... Welcome to the crowd :hugs:

She will need to go onto a prescription formula unfortunately but really push for Elecare because its the 'better tasting' & tends to have more success than the others.

Its not as expensive as it sounds when on prescription trying to buy it without is when it costs you a small island nation !

Is B on solids ?

Just popping in real quick to say hi to everyone.......

DH's Grandfather died yesterday afternoon so he stayed home from work today on a personal day off.....He dosn't ever let it be known that he is sad or unhappy even when it comes to his kids over in the states that he never gets to see. But I think it will get to him a bit because he knows he can't be there for his dad and grandma etc.....

Bailey grazed the side of his cheak and his ear tonight when he fell backwards when standing on the lounge and fell on Bryce's step/potty. There was actually a bit of a scratch on his ear that was bleeding a bit.

Anyhow I am off to bed and I will catch up on personal through out the day tomorrow....Hope everyone is doing well.

Hi Toni - sorry to hear DH's Grandfather died. Poor little Bailey grazing himself, ouchies.

Speaking of which...my Toddler Connor was smacked in the mouth with a Tennis Racket at Care yesterday and his lip is once again fat and swollen on one side. That boy is such a crash test dummy ha,ha (my poor little fella, he's so tough).

Brianna hasn't had any more blood in her nappy but she's still getting bad poos with mucous and what not.

Ally - yes she's on solids, but not a lot. I really only offer her one feed a day now as she seems to get an upset tummy or vomit (projectile) after solids, they also don't seem to be broken down much in her poos, you can see what she's eaten. Weird. She's content on milk because she only wakes up once during the night for a drink for now...I am scared to give her too much solids until I see the Paed again.

Glad Tali's rash is clearing up Jenni.

It was lovely to meet you too Kerriane, glad you had a nice time meeting us all :)

Hmm, better go, got much to do.

Have a good day all...I will come in later see how things are.

Hello Ladies!

mumnbub - That sounds finw what you are feeding bubs at the moment.

Regarding the vegemite....Like Tara said a small amount of vegemite is fine to use. I have given to all 4 of my kids when they were this age.

Bailey has.

At breakfast
A 250ml bottle and then about an hour later has a piece of toast with either butter or vegemite on it.
At lunch
A 250ml bottle and then about 45 mins later some fruit.
At dinner
A 250ml bottle and then about an hour later he usually has half a tin of HEINZ meat and veges and half a tin of desert. He had mashed potato last night though and did not think much of it lol.
Before bed
A 250ml bottle and then sleeps the whole night.

Leanne - Glad to hear that you and your friend are having a great time.

Mum2Riley - I hope you get Riley settled down soon of a night time. It must be hard for you though when your back working?

Boymum - Sorry to hear that the doctor may think that B has an allergy to the formula. Pfffft at that doctor for not being anymore help thatn he was . He probably though your going to the pead in the next couple of weeks so the pead can deal with it then. That is not right. She has to put up with being in pain in the meantime.......Bring on the day she sees the pead so you can get an answer to that. Poor Connor being smacked in the mouth with a tennis racket. That would have been ouchie.

Julz - I think instinct is a big key in parenting. If we all listened to every word the doctors and the CHN said then where would our babies be today? Hope your feeling better with the RRF now and it's not showing it's face to much.

Jennie - Great news about Talis rash. Poor little girl. Rashes like that make you wanna cry along with bubs.

Yep i would definitely hold off on solids for now Ange.

Bummer hey !

Looks like B is similar to Squeak !

He cant tolerate solids due to his issues ... The other day resulted in me being covered in a pool of vomit which soaked my p.j pants went into my crocs, covered the bed, soaked the floor & meant he needed to have a bath & full change of clothes !

Its meant to be easier than this !!!!!!!!

Oh I forgot to mention this...
Good Laugh for all of you....

Well DD1 shaved her eyebrows a couple of weeks ago and got in trouble for doing it. She only made it so they wee a bit shorter than what they usually are but it turned out all funny haha. She has a shaver for under her arms and that is all she issupposed to use it for at the moment....

Well After DD1 got in trouble DD2 last night got the shaver and decided she was going to do the same thing but she ended up shaving the whole lot off lol. So now she has a couple of little patches of hair there.

Does anyone know how long it takes to grow back? lol

Ally - Sorry to hear you are still having so much trouble with Squeak still. You certainly need a break.

Toni~ Sorry to hear about you dh's grandfather, I bet it will be very hard on him. Losing a Grandparent would have to be tough:hugs:

jen~ Glad talis rash is clearing. Nothing worse than when they have a rash.

boymum~ Oh thats not good to hear your Dr was not helpful. Always good to vent away and know that we're listening:hugs:

Ally how are you going? Do you know how DQ is? I am a bit worried as she was having drama's and now I haven't noticed her around the boards.:detective: I hope she is ok.

TJ is right about 5g has the same salt but just make sure to take all your RDI of salt into account. I am only harping on this because Australians are to frivolous with salt and it leads to heart disease. I watched a documentary and I was frightened that nearly everything we eat has sodium in it, which makes it very easy to go way over the RDI. As TJ noted bread, milk, margarine it all adds up.

Here is some info on vegemite and RDI

One serving of Vegemite (5g) has about the same amount of salt as a cup of milk or a slice of bread. So you needn't worry about the salt content of Vegemite provided you consider your baby's entire intake.

5g Vegemite provides at least the following % of a child's daily requirement.

Vegemite B Group Vitamins Per 5g Serve % RDI* 1-3 years % RDI* Breast Feeding Mums
Thiamin 0.55mg 100% 40%
Niacin 2.5mg 40% 15%
Riboflavin 0.43mg 85% 27%
Folate 100mg 67% 20%

Julie has great advice do your own research and as she said CHN and GP'S all have different opinions and it's not up to WHO, many still think you should stop BF after a few months:rolleyes: We all know that is cr@p.

Anyhoo better dash will be back later I can't keep up with the amount of posts:p

I don't think it would be too long.

I have no idea why she did it.....DD1 came home about a week ago saying one of her teachers said that if you shave them they don't grow back.
Maybe she was trying to see if she was telling the truth.:laughing::laughing:

Hey Ange - that really sux about the GP. But at least you can get into the paed before not tooo long of a wait. Like Ally said, prob best to go easy on the solids until he can see her.
She is such a trooper whilst she is having all these issues. Gawd I love her!
Lochies head is fine, I gave him panadol again just after dinner, and he was fine. Bit of a lump, but seems ok this morning. Oh Thanks again for having us yesterday.

Jennie - Cornflour thats a GREAT thing to use for nappy rash I have read. See I knew someone would know!! Hope it clears up asap - cant be nice having a stingy butt!!

Toni - Ill be thinking of your DH and family. All my deepest condolences to you all!
And about DD's eyebrows I reckon they will take a while to grow back, I remember I shaved the back of my hair when I was about 10, like down under my neck and I felt like an idiot for a long time, so I can only imagine what your DD's are going through. Hope the kids at school arent too nasty to either of them!!

Jayisa - Was great to meet you today, hopefully you and Isabella can make it to some more meets in the future :)

Helen - Was great to finally meet you as well, Sorry I didnt get to chat to you too much. But ill see you next week at Mel's place.

I need to head out and do some grocery shopping, but I just cant be bothered. Does anyone else get like that? Im lacking all motivation today to do anything.
I think its coz Lochie had a sleep in, he didnt get up until 8.20, so I think I had a bit tooo much sleep.
I might go and heat up some lasagne left over from last night, Im getting a bit peckish!!

TJ
04-03-2008, 11:03
Toni - He toppled over and bumped his head on the coffee table yesterday at the meet, but he is all good :D

Oh and by the way... dont forget to take pics of the girls eyebrows so you can laugh back at it years down the track!!

Toni - Sorry for the loss of your Dh's grandfather:angel: Omg again, what did DD think she would achieve by shaving them off? Silly girl:laughing: you'll have to tell that one at her 21st!

Ange – I was wondering how you went at the doctors. It sounds so confusing trying to work out the allergies for little Brianna. I hope the pediatrician can be of some help to you since the doctor sounds like a real ****. Have you considered going to a Naturopath or something like that?

Julie- I love your ideas on trusting your instinct. Especially cause this is your second baby too you have more of an idea for what to do with food etc.

Jenny- Poor Tali and her little red bottom. I’m glad to hear that it’s getting better. It’s hard when the cream stings and you’re trying to help them but you’re hurting them too.

Toni – Poor Bailey. I guess it’s all part of learning to stand and walk etc. I’m glad we’re not up to that stage yet.

toni796
04-03-2008, 11:52
Awwww poor Lochie. Glad he is feeling better now.

 @ the photos.....Deffinetly have to do that for DD2. She is actually quite luck that she only has light eyebrows and blonde hair so it does not really stand out to much. But it is still so funny .

Julz - Wahoo a tooth at last. :fingerscrossed: it comes through quickly for him.

Jenn - How is your little one doing?

I am so bloody sick of all the rain here.....It has been raining non stop since yesterday afternoon and everything is just so gluggy from all the rain we have had over the last few weeks.....We have the Mossman Gorge here and 2 uni students got caught up there Saturday night in the rising waters. Had the fire and rescue and ambulance all up there trying to get them out. We saw 2 fire trucks go flying past our house with the lights and sirens going.Presuming now that is where they were heading.....Was 8 hours from the time they got stuck till the time they got them back from there.

UPDATE:

Got Brianna into the Paed's for Thursday evening, earlier because I pestered the Lady at the office again this morning asking if there isn't a sooner appointment. I just know she needs help now, not in 2-3 weeks time...they were happy to try and help this time and pushed appt.s around for her.

Ally - sometimes I just don't know if I am over reacting about it all (prob cause others say I am) or if it's something that can be easily fixed for her....but I have decided that there is an issue and it will be resolved asap as I have Motherly Instinct and I want to follow it through to make bubby comfortable.

TJ - glad Lochie is good today (hugs to him).

Julz - glad you know why Zeke was runny yesterday, a tooth, woohooo. Well done.

No Toni don't know how long for a brow to grow back LOL. Probably a few weeks?

Hi everyone,

Hope you don't mind if I join in here. My DS was born 9/07/07. He is doing all the usual things, sitting, trying to crawl (arggh!!) and eating like a trooper. He is also breastfed and I'm so proud of that!

I also have another DS who turned 9 this year.

We live in Queensland.

Looking forward to getting to know you all and your babies. :flowerz:

Julie - Yayaya Zeke :smiliedance: Squeak still hasnt cut any *sigh* I think he will be like Boof & wait till 10mths !!!

Ange - Awesome ! Thats all it takes sometimes is a persistant mum ! Dont worry about feeling as though you are overreacting !!!!! I am exactly the same but if something doesnt feel right IMO it isnt right !!! Im always crying & wondering whether i have Munchausens By Proxy because either DP thinks im overreacting or because so called medical professionals tell me i am !!!!!!

We head to the Paed tomorrow & a friend of mine who has two boys with issues is coming with me for support. We have had major dramas trying to introduce even the non-allergenic foods like sweet potato & rice cereal so i dont know what the deal is !!! She has also seen how bad he is cause she visited on Sat so got vomitted on etc. His reflux is soooo bad it isnt funny !!! Im just at a total loss now.

Raelene – Welcome to the group. Did you start a Playgroup? Was it hard to find people to come? I was thinking of starting one but it sounds like a bit of work.

Julie- A tooth how exciting!! I hope Zeke sleeps ok for you tonight. I guess it’s good to get it out of the way before your holiday.

Toni- How cute that your daughter shaved her eyebrows. I can’t wait till Charlotte does crazy stuff like that. Not too crazy though!

Ange – You’re lucky that Brianna is such a happy little chicken despite it all. I’m glad that Connor got to eat some of the leftover food and didn’t miss out on all the fun.

TJ – It was great to see you and gorgeous Lochie again yesterday.

Well I’ve had a pretty good day today. Charlotte slept in till 7:30 this morning but hasn’t slept since. Oh well, guess you can’t have everything. I have been trying to get her to fall asleep in her cot instead of feeding her to sleep at night. I hope it helps her to sleep better. I think it has helped already but I’m not expecting miracles! No crawling yet. I was hoping she might have learnt a few things from the other babies yesterday. Have a good night all.

Thanks girls for the nice welcomes!

Forgot to mention, my DS's name is Oliver.

I think a tooth (or some) might be on the way. He has been very unsettled today and didn't want his dinner, which is very unusual for him! I had a look in his mouth and his bottom gums are slightly purple in colour and I'm sure I can see something white in there! He has also been a pooing machine the last few days!

He is also very close to crawling, which I must say I am not too happy about! I know that sounds rediculous but I just don't want my little man growing up so fast! But I suppose it is going to happen and I can't stop it!

JennCharlie - Hi! I thought that starting a playgroup was going to be hard work also but it has actually come together really well! I met two ladies from another forum so we started out with the three of us. Then I found a couple of others through my older DS. Yesterday I joined bub hub and put a post in the playgroup thread and today got three replies from ladies who are very keen to join in! So now we have nine of us and I think about thirteen bubs, aged from newborn to three years!

Well I think I've rambled enough. It will take me some time to get to know you all and your bubba's but I'm looking forward to it!

Have a great night all! :D

hi butterfly, i was always like that didn't want them to grow up to soon but got al excited when they reached that next goal, they grow up all to soon.
jenncharlie they all crawl in their own time, Rivars started and its a night mare hes chasing the cat around, before i couldn't wait for him to crawl and follow me around but its the other way i'm chasing him all day:hair:
Oh the sleeping issue i'm having issues over how to stop him comfort feeding when he wakes up at night its usually only once, but since we are teething sometimes its 2 or 3 times. I tried rocking him but he just wants boob, couple of sucks and back to sleep.
I don't :no:know.

Hi how is everyone going? Yep I have been a hard a$$ and when Riley has been waking at night, not putting him in bed with me :) Think he's getting the point now LOL. To be honest, I think he wakes up and wants his dummy to go back to sleep, but hasn't mastered that himself yet.

Welcome Butterfly

Jen - lucky you Charlotte sleeping until 7.30! I normally can't get Riley past 6.30am. The past two mornings, he's decided wake up time would be 5.45am!! That's okay, I'm usually up not long after getting ready for work. I just leave him in his cot playing whilst i shower etc.

Ally - Have I missed something? Who is DQ? What's happened?

TJ - poor lochie. Ahhh...it toughens them up in the end LOL! Riley's had plenty of bumps lately with his crawling and climbing on things! He's pulling himself near standing now using the couch or coffee table. He did fall off our bed a week ago though. Sometimes I put him with DP whilst I shower, and this particulat morning I did this, and put DP's arm around Riley and he said yep, all cool..........well I was putting my makeup on when I heard a deafening scream....DP had fallen back into a deap sleep and Riley crawled off the bed. DP has never done that before, usually they just lay there together. DP was screaming and so upset with himself.

Ange - good on for pestering them. With Riley's cold/cough I kept going back and they said to just keep giving him demazin, well in the end I went in there on my 4th visit demanding action! They put him on steroids for a week to clear his lungs and he's so much better now.

Toni - you should be glad you're getting rain. It's so dry here in SA, we would love some rain. Send some of it our way please. We can only water our lawns once a week, and it's with a hand held trigger hose, no sprinklers allowed. And  to your DD shaving her eyebrows off! When I was first going thru puberty, I would shave anything that had hair growing! Including my tummy LOL! Big Mistake that was!

Boymum - Riley's cough/cold is much better thank you. Still abit rattly/dry cough sometimes, but he's not coughing all night/day like he was. And his nose looks to of finally cleared, only runny first thing in the morning if any. I hope Brianna's allergies get all sorted out for you.

Sorry if I've missed anyone!

I've noticed that with Riley's 1 day of daycare that he goes to, I think he's picked up things from the other kiddies there. He's very loud now, and he knows how to chuck a tantie too. Especially if you take something off him. Maybe the kiddies are stealing toys from him :( When he cries he always gags/chokes now to get my attention quicker.

Well we are going away for the long weekend here in SA this weekend. So I may not be on til early next week, as i have some shopping/prep to do before then. Everyone have a great weekend.

toni796
05-03-2008, 08:48
Andymum - I hope you get those sleep issues sorted with bub. It's hard when you keep getting moken up all the time. Even though you somewhat get used to it lol.

Mum2Riley - Make sure you stay strong and keep it up with Riley. Like you said he should be getting the point and start sleeping through again soon. Uh oh with the tantie chucking already....now it won't ever stop lol.

Regarding the rain. I am just so over it lol. We have had rain here for a few weeks now and everything is just so gluggy. You can't walk in the yard without sinking now lol. I wish it would go away and do to somewhere that it is needed.

Bailey had a fall last night when he was standing up at the lounge and ended up with a big lump on the back of his head....Screamed his head off for like 10 min. He is such a little sook when it comes to falls and what not. He can just slip on the tiles sometimes and just starts crying lol. We actually had a mattress on the floor in the lounge when Bryce learnt to crawl and stand so he had that to fall on most of the time. But it is now Bryce's bed so can't use it for Bailey.

Oh and DQ is DramaQueen.....She was going through some issues after she had bub. She was posting throughout the forum mostly and she came in a for a while and was posting in the thread but she has stopped. So Ally was wondering what was going on with her and if she is ok.

Raelene- Your playgroup sounds great. It sounds like it came together pretty easily. I guess there’s a lot of Mums out there wanting to meet others for a chat about out favorite subject- our babies!!

Kerrianne- Have you ever been to Gymboree at Sunnybank? Is Sunnybank close to Roachdale? I just wanted to know what it’s like and what they do there.

Andymum- I guess cause I’m a first time Mum I want to experience the crawling thing but I’m sure you’re right when you point out its negative side. I guess I want her to as well cause people keep asking me if she’s crawling yet and it kind of annoys me having to say no not yet!!!

Mum2Riley- Long weekend sounds so nice. I would love my husband to get some time off so that we could have a decent weekend together.

Tara- Have you started back at work yet? I didn’t get to ask you the other day. If you have how’s it all going? You are so lucky to be able to leave little Lochie with Daddy.

I went to the Gym this morning so am feeling very happy with myself. I have never left Charlotte at the childcare there before but it went really smoothly and I think she liked it. Pity I have to come home and eat like a pig after cause I’m so hungry! We had a great night last night. I only fed Charlotte once at about 3am and she only woke once before that and I successfully patted her back to sleep without much drama. Yay!!! I don’t want to jinx it though. I just have to keep reminding myself not to expect too much.

Oh, by the way, is it ok to use people’s actual names or should I be using their User names when I refer to them online? I don’t want to be doing the wrong thing.

No not back at work yet, probably going back part time next week or the week after. Only 25 hours a week. Its enough to give us that extra freedom again and not worry about what we are spending. Well within reason of course.

Toni - I hope little Bailey is ok. Bloody cheeky boys we have!

mum2riley - what you said about Riley chucking tanties about taking things off him, Lochie is the same. I think it might be the age?? It only seems to be when I take something away that he isnt meant to have that its an issue.

Ally - How did things go with the paed today? I've been thinking of you this morning hoping things can get sorted.

Butterfly - Lovely to meet you, well you know what I mean. Welcome to BH and to the July mummas :D

Andymum - How funny about chasing the cat. Make sure you get that on video, or I suppose these days I should say DVD huh ;)

Sorry to cut it short girls, I need to go to the PO to post of some nappies.
I might head up to the shops and buy some new work clothes as well.
Oh im a bit scared about going back to work again, well hubby will look after Lochie while Im at work, and then he will go once I am home, so at least we arent having to put Lochie into care. I cant wait to have 2 wages coming in. Mine is ALMOST the same as what I was getting for doing full time hours, Im going back to my old job. Yes... the one I use to winge and ***** about, but they have offered great money - more than what I was on when I left (hourly rate im talking about - I was on salary before) so thats fantastic :D

Hi everyone, thought I better quickly pop in and say hi coz i dunno if I'll get time to tomorrow.

Happy Birthday tomorrow Leanne, have a lovely day.happybirthday
Happy Anniversary Toni:bee::bee:
Tomorrow is also my good friend's birthday so am having morning tea with her and a few other friends.

I am glad to hear DQ is doing better, I hope to hear from her soon, although I can understand her not having the time. Man I find it hard to keep up with two kids let alone 5. You've gotta be a special person to have more than 3 kids I reckon, I just dont think I would ever have the patience, although I guess patienced is learned isn't it so who knows. When I had one couldnt imagine coping with two, but here we are!!
Thanks for the update Ally.

Welcome to the newbies, Raylene your little man is soo cute in your av pic!!

Andymum - Is your boys name Rivar? That is such a cool name, I looove it!! Your sleep situation sounds similar to ours. Zeke wakes up once a night for a feed, but has been a bit more this week since he has cut a tooth.
I dont mind too much, my first DS woke so much more that DS2 feels easy in comparison lol.
Yes it is bitter sweet when they crawl, I am proud of him of course but now he follows me around the house crying until I pick him up arggh!

M2Riley - Wow Riley is picking things up from daycare already? Bubs are so clever, I think we sometimes under estimate their abilities aye?
I notice DS1 learns so much at daycare some bad, but heaps of wonderful stuff too, his TT is all thanks to daycare and his communication/speech skills have soared. I guess you gotta take the good with the bad, he also comes home from daycare and throws random tanties some days and I am like wth?
I am sure it will be good for him though hun he will be very well socialised and make friends easily when he gets older, which is always a good thing. Have a nice long weekend away, where are you going?

Woohoo Ange, I am so glad you got your paed appt shifted forward, you shouldn't have to wait:thumbsdown: It sux that any mums and bubs should have to wait to get specialist care.
I don't think you are overreacting at all, as you know I firmly believe in instinct and if you feel something is not right it probably isn't. I hope he some answers for you, although I reckon Ally might have already hit the nail on the head with her diagnosis, your almost a qualified paed now Ally with all the knowledge you have on board!!

Toni - I saw the pics of the rain at your place, that a whole load of water! Was like that here a couple of weeks back. We could do with more now though, we need a hundred year flood to fill those dams.
Bailey sounds like your typical boy cracks me up, Zeke has several wee brusies on his head now too, he is just bump bump bump all day long, coz he wont stop standing up and climbing!

HI Herchy nice to see yo back here luv, I wondered if you still came here! How is Lach doin?

Tj - How did your shopping go, there is some nice work stuff out at the moment I noticed the other day, I wish I had a job just for the clothes and shoes lol
I am glad they have offered you good money to go back aswell, I hope you enjoy being a working mummy! It's great you have DH to look after Lachie, it will make the transition easier for you and bubs.

Thanks for all the well wishes re Zeke's first toothy peg. It is a bit more through today, but looks like it's not all over yet. The one beside is about to pop too, I am sure of it as he is still pooping like crazy and crying needing loads of cuddles and BF.
I made a purchase today, I bought a baba sling. I was getting so overcarrying him everywhere because he hates the pram and since teething wont let me put him down for more than 2mins, so yeah I tried a few out and got the baba. I wanted the ergo too, but couldn't afford it.
I love it anyway I used it all day today when out shopping and is so much easier, I have my hands free and don't get a sore arm from carrying him yay!!

Sorry to everyone I missed I know I didn't mention you all but I love you all, and I hope to be able to pop in occasionally while in NZ. I must be so addicted to this computer coz I am really worried about how much I am going to miss it * hugs computer*.

Happy Birthday Leanne for tomorrow chicky.

JULZ - HAVE A GREAT TIME IN NZ. WE WILL MISS YOU.
oh and the KK is fantastico...works a treat. You will miss it. I am going to look into purchasing my own now, thanks for that.

I am off to bed girls, will write in tomorrow when I get a chance. I am a bit excited cos Brianna has her Paed appt. tomorrow night, but nervous too. They might not diagnose or find anything yet, could have to wait ages and or be pfffd at. I am taking my DH with us though, he's seen what goes on at times when he's home from work.

Nighty Night.

* walks in & bursts into tear * :crying:

Ok sorry just releasing my emotions from today ... Not been a fun day !

Ok so re-capping :

3wks ago Squeak was started on Elecare. The plan was to try to hold off thickening his feeds then by the following week he could then try some rice cereal to see how that went & would be able to then update the Paed. Being that this is the best in terms of allergenic its a great starting point.

2 days later he was refusing to feed because the formula is so thin & to obviously avoid all the dramas we have already gone through i started thickening his feeds. I was using the Karicare thickener because it 'apparently' doesnt have milk or soy products in it. By the 5th day Squeak was having yuck poos again & was unhappy. I then find out that yep the thickener does have trace elements of milk & soy in it so stopped :banghead: Im writing a rude letter in the next week to Nutricia !

7 days later he was getting back to himself but was starting to refuse to feed again :hissy: So onto BH to ask the wonderful mums what to do ! Was told to try rice cereal so went out & bought the exxy organic stuff that has nothing added etc. He started drinking again all was going great guns. But then a few days after this he was cranky, crying heaps, not sleeping through the day & vomitting heaps. His reflux was off the charts. So i stopped the rice cereal & a few days later again back to his normal self & finally happy taking the Elecare normally. On day 14 i then tried a little bit of it on a spoon to see whether it was the problem or whether i was losing the plot & imagining it or it was teething. He hated me putting any in his mouth & gagged the whole time then it was the same thing all over again in terms of unhappiness etc !

Leaving him to rest i decided maybe i could try the least allergenic vegie which is sweet potato & see what happens. I also figured i had let him rest enough & being that it was Friday & we were seeing the Paed on Wednesday it was worth a shot ! Yet again he was unhappy about the food in his mouth but did take some & all seemed fine. So i was thinking hey maybe this is the start now ! The following morning ( Sat ) he took his bottle no probs & seemed happy enough. An hour later i was covered from the waist down in vomit, Squeak was saturated, I was sitting in a pool of it on the bed as well as my crocs being filled & the floor covered !!!!!! It was horrible i couldnt believe it !!!! It was something from the movie Exorcist !!!!!

My friend then visited that nite & got to see him refluxing & vomitting etc so it was nice to have someone confirm that yep im not imagining it ! So she said she would come today for moral support being that DP had to work.

Soooooooooooooooo i went through it all with the Paed & we both obviously agreed he isnt to have solids lol ! We will wait another 6 - 8wks or so then re-challenge him in terms of rice cereal & see what happens. Im just to stick with Elecare for now & thats fine he gets enough from that anyways.

He is now starting Losec because of how bad the reflux has become & we are tag teaming it with the Zantac for now giving it 5 days to kick in properly then reducing the Zantac & hopefully that will be enough.

If this doesnt work i will obviously have to see him sooner otherwise we wait the 6-8wks so we see what to do. There is a good chance he will end up needing to go see an allergist as well as a gastro & get tested etc or there is a chance he may need more invasive procedures done :crying:

So yeah ......

hi everyone

Allyoo - sorry to hear about what you are going through with Squeak - this sounds terrible and i hope that it will get easier for you. Im only new here so dont know your story. I have family members who sufffer intolerances/allergies to various things so have seen how difficult life can become. Hope you have a better day tomorrow

JennCharlie - yes sunnybank isnt too far from rochedale but i have never been to gymboree before so cant comment in regards to this. We did just start swimming lessons last week though!!! Hope Charlotte sleeps ok tonight.

Littlexmen - have a great trip to NZ and it was great to meet you the other day

I had a pretty good day today as it was my birthday - my DS was more excited than me and he blew out my candles etc today. I was happy just to see the excitement on his face - he loves birthdays so much and it doesnt matter whos birthday it is! Isabella is getting closer to crawling and has been getting up on her hands and knees today and rocking. WOnt be long till im chasing her around!! She has decided now she loves food and has been eating 3 times a day and still having all her milk feeds at the moment.
have a good night everyone - im off to

Just a quick one from me.

Ally I could almost rip my own hair out just reading whats been happening with little G let alone you actually going through it.
Hopefully the losec and zantac start doing SOMETHING. Wasnt he on losec a while back? Or I think I may be getting confused with Leanne & Jordan!

Kerriane - HAPPY BIRTHDAY for yesterday, you cheeky thing, you should have told us. Hope you had a wonderful day.

Julz - Hope you get everything packed and sorted today. Write out a list so that you dont forget anything. Have a fantastic trip and hope you all enjoy your selves, fingers crossed little Zeke's toothies are through before the plane trip other wise that wont be fun. Just pop him on the boob for take off and landing and hopefully he wil be ok!

GRRRR for the last 2 mornings when hubby has left for work he has woken Lochie up when kissing him good bye!! GRRRR I dont WANT to get up at 4.45am. I much prefered getting up at 6-630. Ill be having words to him this arvo, NOT IMPRESSED, i should go back to bed once Lochie goes down for his nap, but once Im up, Im up......

Hello Ladies!

Julz - Hope Zekes other tooth comes through quick and he settles so he does not want to be carried everywhere.

Boymum - Hope you get some answers at the pead tonight. Good luck with it all.

Ally - That broke my heart reding your last post. I hope something starts to go squeaks way very soon. Poor little man does not deserve all this. :hugs: to you.

Kerrianne - happybirthday for yesterday.

Tara - Grrrr at your DH for waking Lochie up on you. Im like you I can very rarely lay down when the kids go down for a nap during the day.

It's my 4 Year wedding anniversary today. I can't believe it has been that long already. Seems like only yesterday.

Well we have had so much luck with Formula buying lately. Bailey has been on SMA for months now and we have not been able to get it for some reason. DH put an order in at woolies for some and it came back on back order. I was like great. so this week he is on HEINZ Nurture and the next tin we have is Karicare. They have only a few selections on the shelf at the moment because of all the flooding so it has been taking ages for stock to get up here to the stores. Hope it don't mess his insides up to much with 3 different formulas in a matter of 3 weeks. :banghead:

Hi ladies,

Ok, I have just read all your posts but excuse the lack of personals as like I said before it will take me a while I think!

Held my third mothers group meeting today, it was at my house this time. It went really well. The mums are all lovely and the babies/toddlers are too. One of the ladies was having a birthday so we had a cake! Next week will be at the park though cause we have a few more coming.

Oliver is saying mum!!! So exciting :smiliedance:!!!! Still no teeth though. And I don't think it will be much longer until he is crawling around. He's doing a lot of rocking on his hands and knees.

To the mums who are breastfeeding, are you giving your babies water yet? I have just started giving a little when I give him toast.

Also, has anyone moved on to soft finger foods yet?

I have been through all of this before with my older DS but I seriously have forgotten so much!

Well hope you are all having a wonderful day!

I have to turn my puter off now as it is going to my computer geek friends' place to be "serviced" while we are away.
So just want to say a big goodbye:wave:

Just want to offer some big hugs to you Ally and Squeak, OMG I cant believe he haas got so bad again it is so unfair the poor little guy.

Happy Birthday for yesterday too Kerriane happybirthday

Butterfly - Yep I have started giving Zeke water in his sipper cup, not for the hydration factor (since breastfeeding provides all the hydration they need anyway) but mainly to get him used to drinking out of a cup, so when he weans off the boob he can take a cup ok iykwim.
No soft foods here yet, only a bit of toast/ rice crackers here and there for his gums/teeth.
I gave him lumpy veges last night and he gagged like you wouldn't believe so he's not ready yet, we are still on puree. But each bub is different so just go with your bubs wants I reckon.

Toni - I hope the formula changes dont upset him too much either, but I guess there isn't much you can do about it is there, damn floods. Take care hope Bailey stops injuring himself lol!!

TJ - Tell hubby as much as he loves to give a kiss before he leaves that it is a pain in the @rse for you so maybe he can give him his kiss when he gets home from work instead. I know it's almost impposible to resist the urge to kiss a sleeping baby they are so gorgeous, but yeah you dont want him up that early he will get too tired

I hope things went ok at the paed today Ange, I probably wont get to log in again now for the next couple of days but I'll check in when I can to see how things went.

Well catchya all later:raspberry:

Just a quick one from me today sorry guys have some news!

We got 2 little furbabies yesterday :D They are Ragdoll Kittens, a brother and sister that we named Bonnie and Clyde. Still in hiding at the moment but they are so adorable, I have always wanted ONE but DH convinced me to get the brother too so they had each other still and to lessen the anxiety for the girl we were just gonna get. As it turns out they are both scared still and both hiding behind the washing machine! If Clyde goes away from Bonnie, she meows the house down!

Ally - :hugs:You are one brave woman, I admire your strength for getting through all these feeding problems with Squeak, he is very lucky to have you for a mama! Hopefully something gets sorted soon for him. I'd also be writing a strongly worded letter to Nutricia!!

TJ - Omg, I so understand how you feel. Once I am up I'm up too, but the problem I have is because H is still in our room, DH has a tendency to be a bit of a clutz at night and knocks things and basically does things I make sure I do REALLY quietly and he wakes him up... Grr! Hamish might be going to his own room this weekend.. bit scared :(

Happy Anniversary Toni!!! Wow 4 years! DH and I are celebrating 3 years this May!

Have an awesome time in NZ Julie, see you when you get back!

happybirthday Leanne!!!! Have a great day hun

Also Ally happybirthday to Boof for tomorrow!!

Kerriane happybirthday for yesterday!

I think thats all!
Hello to everyone else, will write more later.. Gotta get Hamish to bed he has been a nightmare these past couple of days, just wish these teeth would come through!

Thanks for the well wishes for Brianna today guys...so much.

Just got home from her appt. she's now asleep after a big irritable day of vomiting and horrible bottom ends again, so thank goodness we went to Paeds in time. No more blood in her nappy though, phew.

We are trying her on Soy Formula, turns out she is allergic to Milk Proteins (Cow's milk Proteins) and anything with milk proteins in it and lactose.

We have to send off her poo samples for 3 days and see if she has any germs contained in it in the meantime though.

We will see how she goes on this Soy and if no improvement or still having similar issues it means we move onto a hydrolized script formula. Fingers Crossed she can handle soy for a while.

Thanks again for seeing how she is Julz and have a wonderful time away in NZ.

Happy birthday Kerriane for yesterday, hugs to you.

Happy birthday to you Jen for Tuesday, not old at all, I am 32 this month so beat that.

Allyoo - how is bubby today? How are you? Hope you have had an o'kay day at least, I want to send you big hugs....I know it's hard when we see our bubbies in pain and not know how to help.

Be back soon, dinner is ready, xo.

happybirthday BOOF:smiliedance: Oh Ally does that mean the terrible 2's are over;)

Toni HAPPY 4th WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

Ally I am sorry that your having such a tough time working out squeaks troubles. I really hope it all works out for you very soon. Feel free to shed many tears in this thread.

Laine Congrats on your furbabies. Love the names and how cute hiding behind the machine

Jules have lots of fun as you have worked hard to go on this holiday. Can't wait to hear about it!

Boymum another mum with baby troubles:hugs: I hope they can get something from the poop tests.

Talking about poop my dd2 managed to poo all over me:barf: I picked her up off the floor for a cuddle smelt her and went and got her pj's nappy etc for bed with her in my arms.
Laid he down and thought she had spewed on me and then looked at my arm there was a huge bit of poop, I yelled for DH who took her as I rushed to the shower. DH gave her to me while I was in the shower as it was just too messy for a wet one, lol.

hi ladies

Thanks for all the birthday wishes - going out for dinner next week with my family all going well. My SIL is due to give birth to 1st bubba soon (due in 2.5 weeks) so plans are not set in stone at the moment. We are all excited as this will be the only cousin my kids have in brisbane (all the rest in tassie and WA) and i will be looking after the bub for one day a week! WOuld love to have another bub but sadly we cant

Laine - how are your new kittens going? I am alergic to cats/dogs so we cant have any unfortunately

Butterfly - i give my DD water in cup and she is breastfed on demand. Its just to get her used to the cup more than anything (as littlexmen said!). My DD prefers finger food rather than puree and handles it without choking - i give her bits of soft fruit and veg cut up, pasta pieces, toast, fish, mince, and whatever we are eating within reason. My DS was the opposite - bottlefed and could only handle puree till quite old - depends on the baby i guess.

Boymum - how are you tonight? hope brianna has settled well for you tonight - it must be hard for you to know what to do. My cousin has 3 boys and they are all lactose intolerant - she had a difficult time with feeding them. :hugs: to you

have a great night all

Ange - Wasnt too bad a day today but Squeak certainly isnt happy about the Losec lol. The look he gives me when i come near him with it now is sheer hatred lol ! I just keep explaining to him that this will help him feel better at least one day he will realise this. So glad you got to see the Paed today sounds like not a moment too soon ! Remember that the soy may not solve anything if it is CMP intolerance because soy has the same protien so harass him if she gets worse. I really hope you find some answers soon :hugs:

Shilo - Thanks hun :hugs: I could only wish the terrible two's were long gone but alas they seem to have ramped up this week !!!! I have to say thats the only thing about b/f i dont miss ! Those poo's !!!! Especially after 10days & you are dreading the moment lol !

Leanne - Happy birthday again ! Hope the party goes well & that you are having a great time with your g.f !

Laine - AWWWWWWW im so jealous !!! Ragdolls are just awesome cats ! My bestie has one & i was always trying to smuggle him home lol ehe. They should settle in soon. Good luck with moving Master H ! Its weird etc the first few nites but you get there in the end but always remember if it doesnt feel right dont do it !!!1

Julie - I hope the trip goes well & you have loads of fun !!!!

Kerriane - Isnt it great when they say mum ! It makes your heart melt ! I just love love love it ! Hope you had a great birthday & that you are spoilt rotten on the weekend !

Well tomorrow we are off to my mums to organise Boof's birthday party ! We are having it there on Sat as we just dont have the room here.

It was meant to be a Thomas themed party but of course he changed his mind last minute so its now Shrek !!! So everything will be green ... Well almost heh ! Im also wondering how i got myself suckered in to making the cake & Shrek of all things AAARRRGHH ! Oh well i can only try !

Squeak is doing ok as i said to Ange he just hates the Losec poor bugger. Im just hoping that now he isnt having solids for awhile again he settles back down ... We will see !

Happy Birthday to Boof for yesterday Ally, how exciting, did he have a wonderful day?

Happy Anniversary for 4 years Toni, sorry I missed that yesterday also...I am celebrating our 4 years this year too (April 3rd). Did you have a nice night?

Congratulations Mummy2207 on Mr Moo crawling, that's fantastic news. You must be so proud.

Congrats on DD saying Mum Kerriane, how cute. Thanks for asking about B too. She is pretty unsettled this morning actually, but slept o'kay last night, have to wait and see.

Yukko OLT nothing like wearing baby poop, blarghhh, funny though but not at the time hey.

Nice to hear Tali's rash is almost gone Jen, that's good...she will feel so much better now. How you going?

Laine cool to hear you have two new family members, how cute they must be...they'll keep you even busier now. Awww though.

Better go give my little fella some attention, he is so good letting me have some time on the puter this morning...love him so much.

hi everyone,
thats terrible Allyoo and boymum my first son had refux and colic, finally at 6 mths they diognosed him lactos intolerant soya helped. By the time he was 10mth he grow out of it.
So i really feel for you both its very hard to have a sick baby and keep your sanity and not blam yourself.
TJ totally understand boy usually wakes with dad but on those few occations he sleeps in hubbys gotta kiss him or touch him, can't help himself says he won't see him all day.
Toni i hope your formula gets through soon.
Laine wow kittens love them so cute
kerriane i cna't wait for rivar to say mum its so cool, its one of those big moments.
Mummy 2207 their so funny when they start crawlying mind you rivars got bruises every where now he so sooky compared to my girl she was a tuff cookie.
butterfly I've been giving rivar water out of a sipper cup for sometime now, usually with his meal found it helped eat better. Also giving him tinned baby carrots i'm doing the mumma bird thing chewing bits for him as he wants everything we have, so he's had cheese tomato, beetroot, chicken.
but i would like to know what else i can give him as its been a long time between babies, like you butterfly I've forgotten.
happybirthday to all the girls and boys having one. have a great day.
Well its taken me over half an hour to write this rivars out of sinc this morning.
I noticed that i'm the oldest mummy here as im 39 my last baby is now 16 and my oldest is 19
Rivar is our special love baby and i'm finding it rather nice having the time to enjoy him. Is there any other older mums out there?
Hi to anyone i've missed have a great day:wave:

Tara- Thanks for crossing your fingers for Charlotte’s sleeping. It has been a bit of an effort but I think she’s finally improving. I wonder if it gets easier with the second baby. I’ve started thinking about when to have the next one. It’s a scary prospect. When do you think Lochie might get a brother or sister? How annoying and cute about the kissing! My husband leaves for work early and used to wake Charlotte up too. I know how you feel! Sleep is so precious.

Toni- I hope Bailey is coping ok with the new formula. I hope things get back to normal soon. Congratulations on your wedding anniversary it’s 4 years for me this year too except it feels like longer for me!!! Did you do anything special?

Ally- You poor thing. I am so sorry you have been through such an ordeal with little Squeak, the poor little man. I hope you can find a solution without getting into too many invasive procedures. I will be thinking about you both and hoping things start to calm down for him a bit with the new formula. The Shrek party sounds fun. Hope everything runs smoothly.

Kerrianne- How exciting that Isabella is close to crawling. I wish Charlotte was showing the same promise. I have booked in to have a free music class at Gymboree today so I’ll let you know how it goes. Swimming sounds like lots of fun and very practical too. Isabella will be crawling and swimming. What a talented little girl!!

Raelene- Yay to Oliver saying Mum!!!! Charlotte’s only word is NA. I have been giving Charlotte water from a Heinz sippy cup for a few months now when she eats and I take it when we go out and offer it to her in between feeds. It took her a while to work out how to use it and I found that the Heinz one is better than some of the others I have tried even though it doesn’t have handles it’s lighter than a lot of the others.

Jenny- I’m glad you got rid of Talii’s rash. I have heard great things about Pawpaw cream.

Nat- Your kittens sound super cute. You will have to post a photo once they come out from behind the washing machine.

Ange- It would be so nice if Brianna settles down on the soy formula. Please let us know how she’s going. I will be thinking of you both today and hoping to hear her reflux has settled.

Leanne- Hope your party is great fun.

Ourlittletreasures- I just read about your poo story. You poor thing. I guess it’s all part of being a mother.

Mummy2207- Yay on the crawling!

Andymum- How funny “the mumma bird thing”

Hello Ladies!

Butterfly - :yelclap: to Oliver on saying mum.

Julz - I know you probably won't see this but have loads of fun in NZ and be sure to take heaps of piccies for us to see.

Jennie - Great to hear the pawpaw ointment worked on Talis rash.

Nat - The kittens sound really cute.

Boymum - Hope the soy formula works for little B.

Leanne - Hope you have a great night tonight at your party.

Shilo - :barf: At the poop....I'm sure that it has happened to us all or will anyways lol.

Ally - happybirthday to Boof. Hope he has a great party.

Andymum - Glad your enjoying life with another little one around.

mummy2207 - Awesome news about the crawling. Now the fun starts lol.

We did not do anything yesterday for our anniversary. DH actually came home from work and had to go to the doctors. He is now on antibiotice for his throat as it is infected. So was just like another day for us.

Bailey is doing fine on the different formula at the moment. He is not backed up at all and is not making him sick or anything. But fingers crossed his other formula comes through soon.

Hi ladies, Im sorry I havent been around much...very busy times. Im going to try and do the big catch up.

Toni- Happy anniversary for yesterday. Sorry u didnt get to do anything extra special but I reckon as long as u r as happy together as u were when u got married thats enough. Great to hear Bailey is now settled on his formula.

Shilo- That poo story was hilarious. It actually happened to me the other day too! lol.

Mum2Riley- Hope u have a great holiday over the long weekend.

Herchy- Good to see u around stranger. Hope u are well.

TJ- THats great that u could go back to work for 25hours p/w and still get similar pay to full time hours. Lochie will probably love having lots of "daddy time". I know my boys love it.

Julz- Congrats to lil Zeke for cutting his first tooth. Hope u and ur fam have a great holiday in NZ!!

Ally- :hugs::hugs: U've had such a hard time lately. I hope things start looking up for u. happybirthday to Boof. Hope he had a great day.

Leanne- Hope u had a great birthday yesterday and are having a fantastic time at ur party tonight.

 To everyone Ive missed. Im sorry but Ive been so slack there was so much to catch up on.

DH and I got married on Sunday (I have a link to a few pics in my sig). It was the most amazing day. Weather was gorgeous and everything went to plan except my brother in laws girlfriend went into labour that morning so he couldnt make it (he was a groomsman) so my brother stepped in at the last min. My niece was born at 2:40pm (Our wedding started at 2:30) and they named her Alex. Shes so adorable n tiny.
My makeup was gorgeous (done by bubhubber SweetSerenity)
After leaving the recpeion DH and I went to the Rydges hotel and stayed for 3 nights. We had fondue and champers every night and room service brekkie. It was weird without the kids but it was great to just spend time alone together.

Anywayz I promise I'll be more regular on BH now....I wasnt sure what I was going to do with my time now that the wedding is over!

Congratulations Steph!!:party::party: You look beautiful!!
Gorgeous bridal patrty too, I love their dresses.

Only just got to NZ TODAY!! We waited for 6 hours fror our flight yesterday before it was cancelled due to engine probs with the plane, so were going to be put in a hotel overnight. Then just as we were boarding a bus for the hotel we were told there were seats availble on a flight at 6pm last night to Auckland, that would connect to Palmerston North this morning at 7am. So did that.
But it meant that we arrived at Auckland 1am this morning, then spent two hours in a hotel they put us in, then flew to Palmerston North this morning.
So it has now been 30hours since we have had sleep arggh!!!:hair: The kids managed so well but are exhausted poor wee fullas! Anyhoo I'll beback later when I get the chance and hopefullyput some piccys up.

Hi everyone!!

Oh Jules that is sucky! How did the kids cope waiting for soo long? Cold heh? I hope you packed heaps of warm clothes. I have never been to NZ is there much time difference?
I hope the rest of your trip gets better:fingerscrossed:

Toni~ Glad bailey is doing well on the formula

Not much happening hear but Shakyla has really discovered how to get our attention. She makes a very loud ahhh noise when she wants us to look at her. This has been happening for a week but this morning I was asleep and she must have been awake for a little while, I woke to hear the loud ahh then she did it again and again until I finally opened my eyes and she was on all fours peeking through the bars on the cot watching me. As soon as I opened my eyes she got all excited and smiled because she knew she had woke me up, lol

I am hoping to make hot cross buns later this arvo so we can have them after the kids have dance. Yummo..

My sil is 18 today so will go to inlaws tonight. I won't tell you what we got her because they check up on me and I don't want them knowing until I give it:p Her parties next week and I am doing table arrangements and decorating the cake which I am so excited to be doing:smiliedance:

Anyhoo I hope everyone is having a great day:D

Morning Ladies!

We went out for dinner as a family last night at Hogs Breath Cafe for our wedding anniversary. Gotta love them steaks!

DH is still not well and I feel like I am coming down with a cold again and Bailey sounds a bit chesty again....:banghead: I just want everyone to be well again.

Julz - How bloody annoying about the flight....Glad you are there now and the kids didn't do to bad. Have fun on your holiday.

Shilo - That is so cute what Shakyla is doing now lol.....Bailey just does not shut up anymore. DH was trying to watch a movie last night and Bailey was just making so much noise talking and would not shut up lol. He just keeps going and going and going now it's quite funny at times.

Hiya Girls,

Nobody been about in a while here, must be having great week-ends hey?

We are o'kay, Brianna however has been absolutely miserable since drinking Soy Formula. She's normally such a happy girl...I think I got 2 hours of smiles all up yesterday in between her grizzles, vomits and refluxing. She was over the reflux and now it's back since drinking Soy, she's still getting swollen puffy eyes too...hmmm might have to call Paed tomorrow and ask about all of this, she should be improving by now you'd think. She's also waking up 3-4 times in the night crying and screaming...won't drink her milk without effort and arching her back. Must be gross and making her tummy hurt or something. Poor little bubby. Next step is one of those horrid script Formula's I think, hate to do that to her but if we need to for her own benefit then so be it.

Sorry to ramble on about our issues, it's just been a difficult time here and I have nobody else to moan to besides my DH who's had enough ear bashing ha,ha.

Well not long till Easter, what you all up to over Easter? Going away, having family dinners?

Talk soon, take Care, xo.

Hello everyone. Been away from the hub for the week so heaps to catch up on!! Been working most of the week so very tired. DD and DH were in a car accident on Friday. They are both OK luckily...just a bit shaken up and in shock. I had them both checked at the doctors just in case. Now to get the car fixed - it is off the road!!

Toni: It is good to hear that Bailey is doing better on the new formula. Hope it continues for you. BTW happy anniversary!!

YMS: Congratulations on your marriage and the birth of your niece. What a BIG day. One your family wont forget in a hurry I bet!!?? The photos are beautiful.

Ange: I was thinking about how the soy formula was going. I hope you get some answers soon. It sounds like a very frustrating and stressful thing to go through....no one likes to see their bubba unhappy. Cheer up Brianna!!

Hello Ladies!

Hope everyone has had a great weekend.....We went to Archery yesterday and we all ended up getting sunburnt....Thank god it wasnt' to bad. I used palmers cocoa butter on us and by this morning it is all gone.....I don't understand how Bailey got burnt as he was undercover 99.9% of the time....Only thing I can think of is one of the boys that does archery heald him for a little bit yesterday and maybe he walked out in the sun with him when we started tidying up....

Ange - Sorry to hear that little B is going backwards again. Poor little girl. Hope you get some answers when you talk to the pead.

It is DD1's B'day the day before easter this year and her dad and her twin sisters who are 5 are coming to see her for the first time in like 10 years. So he will be here from the 19th and going back home on the 22nd. So DD is having a bit of a party on the Friday before her b'day so that her dad and twin sisters can be there for it. DH is going to do an Archery competition on Sat the 22nd and will be coming back down after that is finished on that day to pick us all up to go camp up there overnight for the next days shoot. We are not going up with DH as we are staying home until DD1's dad goes so she has more time to spend with him.

So that is our easter weekend.

OneBubbyGirl - Glad to har that DH and DD are fine. Isn't it scary when loved ones are in accidents even if they don't get hurt. My DH was in one almost 2 years ago now. He got ran off the road trying to overtake a truck in an overtaking lane.....Half way along the truck decided it was going to move back over into the other lane and DH had to brake so he didn't get hit and the car ended up spinning and hitting the curb and did quite a bit of damage to it.....We were lucky that the car didn't end up going in the other direction otherwise it would have gone down the bank into the other lane of traffic where there is another overtaking lane.

Hope everyone has had a great weekend.

Hi Guys,

Just letting you know that Brianna and I are off to see the Paediatrician again tonight...he's fit us in due to her vomiting and other issues caused by Soy Formula. Might get to work something out for my poor wittle bubby.

Aww, Leanne, sorry you were upset to see your Bestie go home...glad you had a great time with her here. We have missed you here though, glad to have you back.

Missed you too Candy, glad you are back :) Not good that JJ isn't sleeping well for you yet, bummer. Is she still waking up a few times in the night?

OMG Onebubbygirl - sorry to hear your DH and Bubby were in an accident, that is most awful to hear. Hugs to you all. I am only glad that they are o'kay. How scarey for you.

Another Cold, bummer Toni, nothing worse huh.

Your DD1's birthday is the same as mine Toni, happy birthday to her. We are off to Seaworld to take the kids for my Birthday this year, we'll all have fun together that way. We'll be staying down the Gold Coast for Easter this year. Can't wait.

Glad you all got to NZ in one piece Julz, funny that you've gone to the cold weather though. I would like that actually. Well lap it up on holidays mate, have a great time. Be nice to see some pics, cool.

Better go, want to check on B...she's now crawling absolutely everywhere and pulling up onto things which keeps me extra busy ha,ha.

Ange - I hope all went well for B :fingerscrossed: Just to let you know Pepti etc arent as processed as Neocate or Elecare so not worthwhile when bubs has such serious issues !

Candy - What has happened with JJ in regards to the Paed etc ?

Leanne - Tis always hard saying goodbye :hugs:

Squeak is feeding much better but seems to be reacting to the Losec :hair: Will give it some time to see whether it settles otherwise back to the Paed we go !

Boof's birthday party was great on Sat he had sooo much fun & got spoilt rotten ! Will be posting piccies soon enough because i really have to show off my masterpiece lol. I spent 3hrs making him a Shrek cake & it nearly did my head in but i was so proud of it i nearly cried cutting it up LMAO !

Anyways not much else happening here !

I DID A WHOLE PAGE OF PERSONALS AND THEY JUST DISAPPEARED INTO NOWHERE

BUT HI TO EVERYONE ANYWAY

Boymum - how did you o tonight? have been thinking of you...

Candy - nice to meet you the other day. You poor thing you must get so tired without getting a good sleep ... hope things improve soon for you

Isabella has just learnt to go from laying on her tummy to getting up be herself and sitting :yelclap:

i also saw her today get up on her hands and feet - i think she will be crawing soon - then i will be busy cleaning up after her search and destroy missions (she loves pulling things out of boxes etc all over the house).

im thinking of doing some work of some sort soon even if it is ironing/cleaning to get some spare cash. My poor DH works his guts out doing long hours and never complains - i want to be able to spend more time with him and for DS and DD to see him more.

What is everyone doing over easter??

oh ally that sux about the losec, poor lil squeak he's such a trooper. so good he's still beefing up despite his issues, i wish jj would chub up like that. nothing happening with the paed, when we saw him he booked us back in for may, but i dont think its even necessary now because i really dont think there is anything he can do. ive really just given up on drs, paed, chiro's (well actually chir's have been teh best i think) because all they do is prescribe things that she wont take and they say keep trying she'll take it if she's hungry enough, but NO she wont she's so stubborn. i really think now its all behavioral though, since being on the liquid losec she's great eating, pooing, solids etc just not sleeping at night

jayissa it was great to meet you too. shame i cant make it tomorrow. i hope you can find something that suits you as far as work goes, good luck

andymum im disappointed i wont be there to meet you tomorrow, but at the next one hopefully. have fun

Candy - That sounds like the Losec has really settled things down in terms of the reflux which is awesome ! You will probably find in the next few months she will beef up given the chance thats what happened with Squeak. As soon as things started working he starting thriving ! Does she sleep of a day ? Sorry just trying to think of things tis all. You may also find the chiro combined with the Losec now working may end up helping her its really hard to say but if it is behavioural its because she learnt it through the pain poor bubby !

Hi Girls,

Once again thanks so much for your kind words and well wishes for Brianna.

On a good note, she slept all night...well sort of she woke twice for a feed but no screaming and crying woohoo.

Went to the Paeds, he wants her on Pepti Jr which is o'kay cos Brianna drinks it at the moment...it didn't work a few months ago, but it might do now combined with solids and the fact that she isn't sick with any bugs or flus etc....he said that it is the right formula for her in his opinion. Turns out she is either intolerant or allergic to the Soy Proteins aswell, that's why she wouldn't settle and vomited so much among other things I won't go into TMI he,he.

Anyway, enough about our saga now...I am going to remain positive and make this Pepti Jr work for Brianna, I think it will. I know the Proteins are still ther Ally, but Paed says they are broken down so much that a bubby like Brianna should do fine with it that way as she tolerated Lactose Free for so long. However we can go see him in a while if things aren't progressing. Never know this could be the answer.

So cool that you are back Candy, oh and thanks for offering your alfare, I will just say no for now though and stick with her Pepti, thanks so much though.

Hi Kerriane, yep sounds like Isabella will crawl any day now...look out ha,ha.

Hi Andymum - no it's not all that hard really, just challenging at times with B, she's really such a happy baby most of the time which is why it's so hard to pinpoint her problems....but after so long with issues looks like we are finally answering them now, phew. Yep she's off all dairy and soy for at least until she's 18 months old.

Ally it's good that Squeak is feeding better, weird about the Losec though???? What type of reaction is it? You poor things, how awful to go through so much. Thank goodness Squeak is feeding though, that's a relief.

Might head off for now, Brianna is asleep and Connor is at Daycare so I would like to clean up a bit and have breakfast etc.

Have a good day, oh and have fun at your meet today Brissy girls.

Hello Ladies!

Candy - Great to see you back. We have missed you. Sorry to hear that little JJ is still having so much trouble. I hope something starts to go her way very very soon. :hugs:

Leanne - Hope you had a lot of fun while your friend was there. :hugs: for you, it is hard saying goodbye when anyone leaves.

Ange - :fingerscrossed: the Pepti keeps working for B. And awesome news that she slept all night. I bet you did not know what to do with yourself. I hope you got a better nights sleep last night.

Andymum - How old is your brother? Kids get bored so easily. My girls are always saying i'm bored when they have so much they can do.

Ally - Glad to hear that boof's party went well on Saturday. Hope little squeak settles on the Losec soon.

Kerriane - :yelclap: on Isabella for learning to sit up on her own. Bailey also started off with getting up on his hands a feet and then was crawling around about a week later.

Woolies finally got the formula back in that we were using for Bailey so we got 2 tins last night when we went shopping.....I will never buy Karricare ever again. That stuff is awefull to mix and Bailey does not really like it.....It seems alot thinner than the SMA and the HEINZ Nurture.

We are all slowly getting over our colds thank god. :fingerscrossed: we dont' get them again and this is it for a while.

our little treasures

:smiliedance: On the colds finally leaving, your easter weekend sounds as packed as ours. I bet your dd is excited about her dad and twin sisters coming.

Ally girl, I don't know how you do it with the losec and other problems! I can't wait to see the cake, 3hrs you sound just like me and my cakes. Memories, much better than buying them when they have been made with love, sweat and tears:p

lolly $400 and J is still not sleeping:dizzy:

Leanne you amuse me with all your pics on facebook, very funny my dear, lol.

Well another busy week for us but filled with lots if fun. We had sil's birthday Sat which was nice, I got her a beautiful necklace with a heart with 18 in the middle and a cz in the heart. Was beautiful but the chain (which was seperate) cost a small fortune. I wanted to buy her a really nice pendant with a good chain as my one I got for 21 was yucky within a year. I still cannot get over how much the chain cost, lol.

My bestie had a get together with some friends from my old hometown and god it was so good catching up. Most are yet to have children and are only just starting to settle down. We met her fiance who has only been in Australia for 2 weeks, he is just lovely actually.

I have spent most of today at kinder for the committee then back dropping dd off and then had to mop all of my floors as someone got into my red lipstick:hair:

Shakyla is cutting her top 2 teeth and it is really giving her trouble. I was up all last night finally getting her down at 7am only to wake her to go help with the committee:hissy: So tonight panadol is going to be my friend along with a warm lavender bath for her. Somedays I don't know where I get the energy

Boymum

Thanks Toni have to see if I can get another happy night out of B ha,ha.

OLT - Poor bubby Shakayla cutting two top teeth, I think they are the worst of all to cut....awww hugs for her. Hope you get her to settle better tonight and get yourself some zzzzzz's. You sound so busy, maybe you should have yourself a nice warm lavender bath hey? You need to put your feet up.

Hmm, not much happening here today really...Brianna has been happy most of the day though :) It's cool, I like it. She won't nap though ha,ha. She's still vomiting a bit but not projectile ones, just little acidic ones...but you know what? I think she's getting a toothy peg up the top, I can just feel a little sharp bump under there and the tiniest minutest of speks in her gum (prob need a magnifying glass to see it properly ha,ha)....but it could be a week or so off yet, we'll see.

Better go, got some folding up to do and cleaning up in the kitchen before I go pick up my Little Man from Care.

Bye, xo.

Here (http://www.bubhub.com.au/community/forums/showthread.php?t=162012) is the link to some of the piccies of Boof's birthday. Keep scrolling down as there are a few !

Ange - Im so happy B is feeling better lets hope this continues for you all ! Squeak reacts by screaming within 30mins everytime he is given the Losec its like he gets a headache or something. Apparently this is a side effect so will see how we go. He was 'ok' today so will see what happens tomorrow & if he is bad again then im calling the Paed.

Shilo - Poor S !!!! I really hope you both have a better nite tonite & she catches up on sleep tomorrow giving mummy a nice rest !

Toni - Glad to hear the colds are finally leaving ! Im sure your DD is going to have a ball having all her family around !

kerriane - Congrats on Isabella sitting up sounds like she will definitely be on the move soon !

Nothing new here just not doing so good but thats nothing unusual really. Boof goes to kindy tomorrow so hopefully that gives me some breathing space !

Ange- Gosh you’ve been through a lot with Brianna’s food! I’m glad the Pepti Jr is starting to work I'll keep my fingers crossed. I love your attitude. Staying positive is the only way to go. I hope to see you and happy little B next week at Tina’s.

Onebubbygirl- Glad that the accident wasn’t more serious. Sure does make you stop and think about how dangerous it is out on the road.

Kerrianne- Hi there, Isabella is such a clever girl. Keep us posted on the crawling. It sounds like she’s not far off.

YMS- Beautiful photos!!! Glad to hear the day went off well. Congratulations.

Toni- Archery sounds like lots of fun. I love the kind of things you can do with the family that everyone enjoys. Pity bout the sunburn but sounds like the cocoa butter got it under control. I must remember that one.

Candy- Sorry that Jayda is still having sleep issues. I think some babies are just not good sleepers. Charlotte still wakes 3 times a night despite my best efforts. How was your first baby go with sleeping? I’m sorry the sleep lady was such a waste of money. Can you claim any back on health insurance?

Leanne- Sorry your friend is gone. My best friend moved away for two years and is back now so I know how you feel. Isn’t it great that no matter what the distance you still remain close.

Hi Andy and Rivar.

Ally- I love the birthday photos!! That cake looks awesome. You did a great job.

Ourlittletreasures- Good luck with Shakyla’s top teeth. I hope you managed to get some sleep last night and that the teeth make a speedy arrival.

NZ Julie- Hope you're all having a blast despite the cold weather and long flight!

Oh, I forgot to give an update on Charlotte!! Her cold turned out to only be a little one. She is well on the way to a speedy recovery. Her sleeping has regressed with the sickness and I have been feeding her to sleep yet again. Gosh I would kill for a good nights sleep. I guess it won't be like this forever!

Have a good day all.

Shilo- How is Shakyla this morning? I cant believe she is cutting her 2 top teeth already, Jordy is still waiting for his first! Hope her bath and panadol helped her sleep well for you! Lol at facebook pics:o:o

Toni- Glad to hear you can finally get Baileys formula again, its terrible having to swap it around isnt it.

Jayisa- GRRR I hate it when I lose my page of posts too!!!! Well done on lil Isabelle and her milestones!!! Crawling is a scary but very exciting stage!!!

Oh, there is Jordan, just woke from his nap! Better go give him his yogurt then take Bailey to Dr at 11.15. He is sick AGAIN, he has never been sick and since starting Kindy it feels like he is always sick.

Hello to everyone else!!!

Oh and Steph I checked out your wedding pics, you look absolutely stunning hun!!!! Congratulations :hugs:

OMG I had shakyla on the floor in the lounge and walked in and stood there talking and................................
........................... she started to crawl towards me:eek::smiliedance: I was very excited that made her sit up and start clapping and then she wouldn't do it again:rolleyes: She looked so cute.

Oh and those 2 teeth she is cutting well, it turns out she is cutting 4
and the 2 in the front are huge bumps and the ones on either side are actually cut through. I also think she is cutting 2 more on the bottom. Poor little lady,.
She slept a bit better but I gave her panadol and put her into bed with me at about 5am and she went back to sleep.

DH is sick again. He came home with lots of large lumps on the back of his neck. So at 12am I sent him to dr's and they said he has a secondary infection and has got strong antibiotics to take and if he gets really bad today to go straight to hospital. His dermatitis is infected:(

Jen I am so glad it was only a little cold.

Ally I will check out those pics

boymum My dd1 was a chucky bub and always upset I know how your feeling. Just after 12mnths it all eased for her and now you wouldn't know the difference. Just trying to give you something positive to look forward to:hugs:

Hello Ladies!

Shilo - Hope those teeth come through soon for Shakyla and she does not have to much trouble with them. :yelclap: on Shakyla crawling even if only a little bit. Sorry to hear about DH. Hope it clears up very soon.

Ange - Great to hear that B is happier.

Jenn - Great news that Charlies cold was not a bad one and that she is getting over it now.

Leanne - Hope Bailey is not to bad and he gets over being sick soon. Daycare is so great for illness's because of the people that always send there kids in when there even a little bit sick.

Bryce is being a little brat today. He won't do anything that he is told to do.....He has tipped all his toys out on the floor and refuses to pick them up. DH should be home soon and i'm sure Bryce will listen to him lol. D

DH chucked a sicky to go fishing with one of his mates from work....It is DH's last day tomorrow so he is using up all his sick days. Then he starts his other job next Tuesday. That is only for 4 weeks though and he still has to get something lined up for after that. The guy that he is doing the 4 weeks with has another job for DH to do but it all depends on when that job actully starts up. DH also put in his CV for a coke rep job that includes a car and fuel expences paid etc and earnings would be $40000 a year.

:wave:hi ladies

OLT - its such a proud moment when they first crawl - well done Shakyla!!

Toni - hope DH's job situation gets a bit more stable for you - it can be a stressful time when your not sure about your finances coming in

Im having a bad day today so far :( all the little things going wrong have added up. My DS forgot his lunch for prep so had to go back and get it. When i went back his teacher met me at the door and said DS was mucking around and had cut another boy with scissors. My DS was crying on the floor and wanted me to take him home. Yesterday he was in trouble for fighting in the playground but told me the other boys were too.
SO what do i do with him???? You can tell hes sorry for what he did but the teacher said she wants us to deal with him at home. I agree - his behaviour is unacceptable and needs to be dealt with. BUT how? SHould i punish him at home (as in loss of toys/outings etc) or is punishment at school enough and just talk to him at home??
Meanwhile DD has cried all morning and we have visitors coming later today :hair:

Ive just breastfed DD to sleep and now to tackle the mess that i can see from every angle:hissy:

sorry for the whinge - im sure things will improve as the day goes on :D

However if you have some suggestions as to what we can do with DS - please tell!!!

Hiya there!!
I'm not on here as often as I would like... but I'm trying:)
How are we all?
We just started at a playgroup today, most of the kids are a little older, but because i just moved to the bush recently, it's great to be able to meet others from surrounding areas.

Lachs going really well, sitting, crawling 2 teeth cut with more on the way.

anyway, time for a sleep for him, and some exercise for me.
hope all mummas and bubbas are well:)

Well...for what is normally my toddler free day it turned out Chaos!

Took Bailey to the Dr at 11.15 thinking Id be home by 12 pm to have lunch......WRONG! Got there and saw Dr, who told me he suspects Chest infection so take him to Xray and then bring them back to him. So I went and had the Xray done, waited around there for 1hr 45mins(They said a 20 min wait...) went back to Dr at 2pm and only just got in the door now. And Bailey was not impressed, he really should have been in bed, thankfully Jordan was good but now I am STARVING!!!!!!

So he is on Antibiotics (for the first time in his life) Hope the work, Dr said if left it could turn into Pneumonia.

Darren works late tonight so I cant wait for him to get home so I can go out for nice long walk to chill out!

Welcome back Herchy! Long time no see on here!!!

Jayisa- you poor things. I hate those days. As for you DS, I would definately punish him however he is just adjusting to school life and you probably dont wana make him hate school. I would sit him down and talk to him first, is he at the "reasoning with" age yet? If not then perhaps tell him if he does naughty things at school then he cant play with a certain toy at night. Hope this helps a bit.

Toni- Well done to your DH taking sicky, one thing about supermarkets is they dont hand you a medal for leaving behind all your sickies. My parents both worked for supermarkets and never used sickies, when they moved to GC they didnt even get help with transfers so they moved to the opposition!

Candy- huni I miss you too, I really need a JJ cuddle too.

:smiliedance:GO SHAKYLA!!!!! Well done lil lady! Shilo I bet your so so proud! I love these moments! Glad she slept a little better for you last night. And OMG your poor DH, hope he is better soon.

..but you know what? I think she's getting a toothy peg up the top, I can just feel a little sharp bump under there and the tiniest minutest of speks in her gum (prob need a magnifying glass to see it properly ha,ha)....but it could be a week or so off yet, we'll see.

Bye, xo.

Aha yes I can safely say that Brianna is actually teething now. Wow I know, if it's not one thing it's another for her, but still she smiles on (most of the time). She has two red cheeks, looks like her two top teeth, I can see them in her upper gum, bit different to how Connor's came out and showed theirselves.

Sorry you had a bad day Kerrianne, things get better?

Hi Herchy, nice to see you (hear from you), glad things are well.

Oh sorry to hear what an awful day you went through Leanne, hope Bailey feels better soon now that he has to have antibiotics.

Oops gotta go, back soon.

:wave:Just quick because I should be asleep right now:rolleyes:

Shakyla kept crawling today and yes I am ever so proud:D but slightly FEARFUL of the barbie shoes and other little things like umm COINS being swallowed.

I took the kids to the park and sat her on the grass, within seconds she was coughing, she had decided to nibble on a leaf.

Leanne great to see you back.

jaiysa~ I am in the middle of doing a rewards chart with sharing in our house. At spotlight they have these reward ribbons for $1.99 they have disney characters with writing that say, good sharer, good listener etc etc about 20 different ones. I usualy use a counting system but it's really hard to discover who had what toy or in your case you cannot count him when your at home. Maybe tell him if he behaves you will reward him with a stamp/ sticker each day for the week/ month and then go to the park or any type of reward.

Good luck girly, kids

Hey ladies, how is everyone? Well I'm back after my weekend away and finally being able to get back on BH (had some log-in issues so couldn't post).

Because I've been gone for over a week, I've only had a quick glance at the posts - there's so many - so will skip personals and start afresh from now.....

but...................yay to Shakyla crawling :)

Riley is obsessed with pulling himself up into a standing position now, leaning on the coffee table, couch, bed, you name it. Think i may have an early walker

Well during our little trip away, a top tooth came thru only to go back again...WTF?? I thought I was imagining it being there, but DP confirmed it was definately just breaking the surface...........poor little man. Just come and stay there damn it!

Well that's pretty much all to report, besides the fact that Riley loved the beach, but had to take him out at about 9.30 due to the heatwave here!

Well best be off to do some work.

jayissa hope you're having a better day today. i have always done somethign similar to OLT, trying to reward the positive more so than scolding for hte negative with a chart system. if she does something wrong then yes we sit down and have a talk about it and what the consequences will be and thy would usually be a ban on something she loves, although she's a bit older than your ds but it works the same way i think. then we talk about how if she does nice things then she'll get rewarded, but not all the time becuase i dont want her expecting to be rewarded for every nice thing she does, so she knows that it is a random reward system lol. she gets a tick or a star on a chart for good things she does, even the little things like using beautiful manners, making her bed without us telling her, helping us out with things, cheering up a friend thats upset at school etc etc, then when she gets 50 points she gets a reward of her choice from a few things she can select from.

OLT i know what you mean, jj has so far eaten sterl's thongs, leaves and bark, power cord, fluff on the ground, ok brace for this one... her own poo which exploded out of her nappy :barf::barf::barf:its scary how you have to watch out for EVERY SINGLE thing

oops gotta run bbl

13-03-2008, 10:21
Look!! twice in 2 days!!! yay!
lol

I'm still not up to date with the goings on around here, so when I have caught up a bit, I will attempt personals, but as some of you know, I am hopeless at those too.

Nothing different really here. Lots of dribbling, crawling and attacking my good electrical items. lol
Cheeky little buger even pulled the wireless modem cable out of the computer yesterday, so looks like this weekend is 'baby proofing' weekend.

Hope you are all going well, and that those bubbas are giving u all greif! LOL

I wrote a post last night and its not on here??? Very odd... Is anyone else finding that they write a post then lose it???

Anyway Ill try again!

Ange, firstly Im so sorry I havent been online to give you hugs when you were having a tough time. How is lil B today? I cant believe she is cutting top teeth now! Has she got her bottoms yet? And thank you so much for my bday PM, it was lovely and meant alot!:hugs:

Shilo- Im scared of when Jordan crawls, he puts everything in his mouth! He is starting to commando around the place so shouldnt be too long for him. How is Shakyla going?

Mum2Riley- Sorry I missed it was not online, Where did you guys go on holiday? Poor lil Riley with his teething, I think Jordans bottoms come up and down too. One day sharp, gone the next. Our poor bubs.

Candy- Im laughing so much at lil JJ eating her poos!!! Oh my, I dont look forward to that day LOL! How is JJ today hun?

Herchy- LOL good luck baby proofing! I never had to do it with Bailey, he just never touched anything...But Jordan well he is a different kettle of fish! He will give me a run for my money!!! So Ill be asking you for tips of baby proofing soon!!!

Bailey is still not good, I have never seen him like this poor lil guy. He started antibiotics so Ill see how he goes over the next 24 hours.
Jordy is his usual cheeky self! Happy lil man! Right now he is fighting sleep, oh so tired but having a tantrum in his cot! He is quieting down now so hopefully drifting off!

Have a great day xox

 girls long time no see/read lol
Been reading through the pages and noticed we have a bunch of movers happening. :yelclap:
happybirthday to everyone who has had one (including me:eek:) and those who will have one soon!!!!
Tara – Was this week your first week back at work?? How is Lochie going? I’m sure he misses his mummy during the day now or maybe he is having too much fun with Daddy!!
Candy – I am so sorry to hear that things with JJ are still not going much better re her sleeping. Maybe your right, maybe it is a behavioural thing. She is so used to waking up during the night that she doesn’t know any better. I am glad though that you have finally manged to sort out her reflux issues.
Ange – I hope Brianna feels better soon and that her toothy pegs come through real quick for her. I’m glad that your starting to get everything sorted with her reflux too and hope the Pepti Jr works for her.
Jenny – Sorry to hear that lil Charlottes sleeping is not going so well again. I’m sure she’ll sort herself out. Are you still feeding her at night?
Leanne – cant believe that Bailey is sick again. Did you get you walk in last night after your very long day yesterday??
Jayisa – I don’t know how you would deal with your DS, I haven’t come to that stage yet, I think though what Candy suggested is really good, maybe you could give that a go.

Us - Things here have been going well. Yacine isn’t far off walking. She has gotten so good on her legs and is cruising along all the furniture. She now has 6 teeth and I am hoping that this will be it for a lil’ while. She is now saying “mama” when she wants something but mainly “baba” which I think might be “papa” French for Dad and she is also saying “la la la”. That’s probly it for her vocab so far. I am so proud of her.
The PG for me is going well the MS has sort of settled down. I had my first OB appt yesterday and got to see the little Beany again. It had all its legs and arms waving around. Also going by his calc I am 11 weeks already, so 2nd trimester here I come. :smiliedance:
Anyone I missed in my personals I'm sorry. :hugs:to all the bubbas amd mummas.

Firstly happybirthday to talistheword and hope you are having a great week

Jorbai - my post (a really long one) disappeared a few days ago too . How is Bailey doing now?

Boymum - How is Brianna going? any teeth through yet? Isabella i think is teething again too and has had runny nose today

Herchy - we are in the process of baby proofing the house too - just bought cupboard thingys and plastic corner covers for the coffee table and about to buy a gate for the hallway so DD cant get into DS bedroom and all the little toys/things that 5yo boys like!!

Thanks for the advice OLT and Candy - we are going to implement a reward chart. We also have appointment to see DS teacher on monday night. I do feel sorry for DS at the moment too as he seems to be crying all the time (maybe tired??) and in trouble constantly (mostly for being silly). It was so much easier when he just went to daycare!! I went to his school to help today and he seemed to be interacting with everyone fine so we will just see how he goes...

Isabella has stopped saying mum mum - I so loved to hear her say it too! Hopefully she decides to start again - she doesnt say anything else yet either.

well im off to get some

bye all

Thanks Leanne, I did miss your inspirational advice and hugs he,he. No B doesn't have any teeth yet...close but not yet. Takes her ages, as did Connors teeth. She still hasn't had these two break through yet and I noticed a few days ago. :hugs: to you so glad you are back and happy you enjoyed your birthday :)

Yes Happy Birthday for the other day Jen, glad things are going well with Tali the 10.2kg gal...she's adorable.

Good Luck with the Reward Chart Kerriane and with your DS :hugs: Isabella will say Mum Mum again soon I am sure, they often stop saying a word for a while like that, weird huh?

Wow Tina Yacine is so much older than she really is, so advanced that little girl of yours. She has always amazed me with what she does so early and how happy she always is. How you been feeling? Glad the MS is settling down for you.

TJ - have missed you already, how is the job mate? Feeling good about it all? Hope Lochie has been enjoying his Daddy time.

Mum2Riley - glad Riley loved the beach, where abouts did you go for your trip away? Must have been a nice break. Congrats on his first toothy peg. Ha,ha had a good laugh when you mentioned how he is obsessed with pulling up onto anything and standing, same with B, have to watch them all the time now little cheeky's.

I haven't got much time left here, have to get ready to go to Hairdressers....Kids Nanny (My beautiful wonderful MIL) is coming over today to watch my bubbies for me as my DH is a Groomsman at a Wedding we are going to (yep on a Friday) at Mt. Tamborine, a dear old friend of ours getting Married (although we never get to see him socially much anymore :( His new wifey wears the pants IYKWIM). But it should be a nice day, I get to dress up and go with some friends in a Limo and drink Wine etc...will miss my bubbies though. Well, better get ready and make sure the kids things are all in order for today.
Oh then tomorrow we have a Baptism to attend, busy week-end ahead I think.

Hi to OLT hope you can keep an eye on Shakalya and stop her from eating little things he,he.

Hi to Candy, hope you have a good week-end with darling JJ.

Hi Herchy, you have been in too many times in the last couple of days LOL.

Well see you all later, better go.

Luv Ange, xo.

Morning Lovelies:wave:

Ange, your so sweet! B sounds just like Jordan, teeth popping up and down but not quite breaking the surface yet. I was sure J was getting his bottom teeth about a month ago, the sharps were there and I could see the white but as quick as that happened they are gone. Poor bubbies. Have a great time at the wedding hun! I know youll miss your babies, BUT i think you really need this break:yes: Let your hair down and enjoy yourself, you really do deserve it xox

Jayisa- Its so annoying isnt it, and it only seems to happen when I write a long post:hissy: Then I cant be bothered starting again coz it takes so long to do! Oh and Jordan said Mum so much at xmas time and doesnt say it as much now, i wish he would start again too!

Jennie- Hope your birthday was beautiful hun! You were born in a great month! What did you get for your bday hun? And wow Tali is 10kgs! Go girl!!!

Tina- I totally believe that Yacine will walk soon, she has been on the go for ages! She might need to teach Jordan a few tricks at your meet!!! How is work going? Cant believe your nearly 2nd trimester! We will have to start organising a baby shower soon LOL!

Ok, news for me: Bailey is a little better, thankfully! Jordan has started coughing so Im praying he doesnt have the same as Bailey. Its never ending here at the moment...

Another thing is, Im ALWAYS regular 29 day cycle and last night I realised I havent had my period so I checked my diary and I am overdue. Im at day 33 today. Im praying like crazy that there is some other reason for this and not pregnancy. Im not even contemplating another baby right now. I told DH straight away and he was like, well if it is a bub then we have to be happy, he would happily have another one but knows we wanna wait til bailey is at school. But I feel like my period is coming and im hoping its not mind over matter. So please all cross your fingers I get AF today:fingerscrossed:

I lost a day yesterday, not really...but wow a hangover is an understatement.

I had a great day/night out, but what a price to pay, won't be doing that again for a long time that's for sure.

Anyway, I will come back tomorrow, have to head out with my family soon.

Bye, xo

 Girls,
Not much happening here. Everyone is a bit sick at the moment with a cold. Yacine is the only one that doesnt have it as bad as Hans or I. All she has is a runny nose.
Oh and I discovered another tooth. I cannot believe it snuck theough without my noticing it:detective: . Its bottom right and I think bottom left is buldging. I am so over this teething. :hair:
Ange - sounds like you had a good night LOL, I cant remeber the last time I had anything to drink and by the looks of things I wont be drinking till easter NEXT year.
Leanne - I hope AF turned up for you. though it would be nice to be PG together. :D
Jennie - wow 10.2KG. she is a big girl,... how tall is she now?? Yacine still only weighs 8.4KG but she is 70cm tall.
Julz - Hows NZ going, i'm sure your having a fantastic time with family and friends. Miss seeing you posts.

Darn lost my long post AGAIN! Stupid mouse at work has buttons on the side, and if you accidently press, it goes back or fowards.

Lets try again!

Jorbai - We went to a holiday house on the beach about 2 hours drive from adelaide. It was bliss and excellent swimming weather! In 6 weeks, we are going to Penang for 10 days :) And Riley's top tooth came and went too - i'm glad I'm not the only one it's happened to. I hope Bailey is feeling better. Did you get your AF?? I got mine a day late too - I was freakin!!

Tina - Yacine nearly walking already?? I think Riley will be an early walker too, he's 71/2 months and is obsessed with standing up leaning on the furniture and moving around. Glad the pregnancy is going well.

Jenny- Tali still isn't as big as Riley - He's at least 10.5-10.7kg.....not quite sure of the exact weight as I weighed him at the chemist with his clothes and nappy on. Plenty of them to love. He's quite tall too. He just looks like an older baby, not very chubby, just solid and tall.

Boymum - how was the wedding??

Well Riley is going really well. He's now saying Da-da as well as mum-mum. I think somewhere in there I hear a nan-nan as well. The only thing is his nappies are getting soooooo wet at night. When he wakes at about 5am to be resettled etc, I'm finding I'm having to change him as it's so full and it's leaked a couple of times. He has a 250ml bottle before bed, then a 200ml dreamfeed at 10.30. It's just seemed to of gotten really bad the past week or so. He's on the toddler size nappies, but I'm thinking I might just try the next size up for night time only. The toddler ones are fine during the day and he's still got plenty of room to grow into them.

There's still no reappearance of that top tooth that came then went :(

Question - how many bottles/feeds is everyone's bubbas having now they're established on solids? Riley has 200ml in the morning and at 1pm, then a 250ml at bedtime and a 200ml dreamfeed. i would like to try and eliminate that dreamfeed eventually, so might now start giving it to him at 10pm etc, and gradually reduce it down until it's gone.

Well best be off................(sorry if I missed anyone).

Hello everyone. I bet you all had a great weekend....you must have (has been very quite in here). Ange, hope that hangover is easing. I haven't had a proper drink since before pregnant with Zig - I think I would drop at the smell of alcohol!!

Leanne: Have you tested yet? OOOoohhhhh hope it is the answer you want?????!!!!

M2R: Z has about the same amount of milk in the day as R just in smaller size bottles/cups...so more feeds if that makes sense. It sounds that R is really getting around now. It wont be long and we will all be posting that our little bubs are walking and having first birthdays!!

Julz: Hope you are having a great time in NZ. Look forward to hearing about your trip soon. Bet the boys are having a fantastic time meeting up with family (the are probably the centre of attention).

Jenn: It sounds like Tali is growing well. She is such a good girl growing nicely for mummy...and with all those teeth!! She is starting to look like a little lady now (rather than bubby).

Tina: Great to hear that the pregnancy is going well. Hope the morning sickness eases soon. Can't wait to see photos of baby bump. Has Yaccine given you any indication that she understands that you are having a baby??

Tara: How did your first few days of work go? I'm sure DH is enjoying Daddy and Lochie time. You have such a great arrangement.....lucky girl!! Lochie is such a cutie, very content.

OLT: Love hearing stories of your kiddies. It sounds like you laugh a lot in your house.

Ally: How are your boys. Hope things are starting to settle a bit....you have certainly been through a lot. I always read your posts to find out what is happening next. How is it that you don't loose faith in the medical system(or have you??). You are so patient. I am not good at having to wait for answers, I get very anxious.

 to everyone else.....hope to catch up with you all soon.

Well nothing new happening here. We went to the beach on the weekend and took some lovely photos. It is a bay and you can take your dog off the leash which is fantastic!! So...we found our own space and had a ball!! A great day out that cost NOTHING.

Z stood 4 times for more than 15 seconds on the weekend and can stand from sitting (I would say once out of every four attempts)....so not bad!! She even tried to take steps when she was standing and managed to get a couple in before tumbling down. My prediction is she might take first steps in next month to six weeks. We will see, I am in no rush for her to walk (but I think Z has other ideas!!).

Anyway, not working today so we are hitting the shops :smiliedance:. LOOK OUT SHOPS....HERE WE COME!!!!

:smiliedance::smiliedance::smiliedance: I got AF this morning!!!

I was so relieved, its nearly a week late so I was absolutely freaking out! Darren was trying to convince me we would cope, thankfully tho we were both very relieved when ugly AF showed up. Ive never been so happy to get my period in my life!

M2R- U lucky thing, going to Penang! Id love to come in your suitcase LOL! As for feeds, Jordan is not 100% keen on 3 solids a day yet. He has lunch sometimes and dinner most nights. He has a bottle at 7am, 10am, 2pm, 6pm however sometimes there is an extra bottle in here if he demands it.

Tina- Looking forward to seeing you and lil Yacine and the bump on Thursday! I havent been to a meet in over a month! Miss you all!

Ange- So glad you had a great time at the wedding! You deserve it and you needed the break! Sorry to hear about the hangover tho, hope your better today!

Bailey is much better! Jordan seems a bit better but we had to take him back to Dr on Sat morning after I was up all night (didnt actually go to bed) with him on Friday night. He was coughing so much he vomited. He is on antibiotics for tonsilitis and they put him on a nebuliser at the Drs as he was sounding extremely congested almost like Croup. I hate giving him antibiotics so young but he really needed them. bailey never had them til now. Anyway, as long as he gets better thats the main thing.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Oh, almost forgot. Goodluck Toni with DH starting new job tomorrow. Hope he finds the job he is looking for in that time. My DH has just gone for a new job and we are anxiously waiting to hear back so :fingerscrossed: to both our DH!! I am hoping my DH gets this job because I can tell that he is so unhappy and ready for a change - I dare not get out of bed until he is about to walk out the door, he is so over it!

Hello Ladies!

Kerriane - Sorry to hear that things are not going to well with DS at school. Hope it all settles down soon.

Leanne - Hope both the boys are startign to feel better now. Good to hear that AF decided to show herself and you don't have to worry anymore.

Herchy - Great to hear from you.

Ange - WTG on B with her teething and I hope it has not been giving her to much grief. Great to hear you had a great time at the wedding.

Tina - What great news about all Yacine's milestones. They just grow up to fast. Glad to hear the pregnancy is going great and the MS is settling down.

Jenn - WTG to Tali on the talking. She is also a great weight I say Bailey is not far behind. I weighed him a couple weeks ago and he was 9.8 kg. 1 more week till he is 8 months so will weigh him again then. Suspect he will be over the 10kg mark as well.

Mum2Riley - I can only suffest going up to the next size nappies also. What brand are you using?

Linda - Glad to hear that you had a fantastic time at the beach. It's great to get away from the house isn't it. Sounds like little Z is not to far off walking now. Thank you for the well wishes with DH's work.

Well things have been pretty crazy around here the last week. Bailey is sick and on antibiotics again. Stronger ones this time to try and get his chest to clear up and not come back. Bryce got his cold back again a couple days ago after Bailey got sick again. And I also have it back again as well.

Bailey still does not have any more teeth after getting his bottom ones just before christmas.

I also was wanting to ask about bottles. Bailey for the last couple of weeks or so has been only drinking about 120 to 180ml (mostly 120). He has 3 sometimes 4 before he goes down for the night. He just does not seem to want any more than this and will just roll over and start playing when he has had enough. He has 2 solid meals per day. I feel he is not having enough milk. But if he does not drink it I can't force him to.

DH has been really busy with getting his settings right for his Archery competition so we have not really been home much in the past 4 days.

DD1's dad comes tomorrow and her party is on Friday and her actual B'day is on Saturday. DH goes to the Archery competition on Saturday also and then Sunday morning we are all going up with DH to the Archery competition and then after he is finished there we are going to go and visit my grandparents as then live in the same town we are going to.

Just checking in, I am around...just really busy.

My DS Connor is Toilet Trained during the day now, he wears undies, what a big boy. All since last week.
(He's 28 months old).

Brianna is now wearing a MCN at night time, yep I am partially converting ha,ha.

I am feeling o'kay, just have to get everything together as we are going on holidays on Thursday. We will be back next Monday.

I can come back later to do some personals tonight, heading out again soon.

Glad you are all well, xo.

Hi all, sorry i havent been in here ive been in byron over the weekend and posted in the meets thread and ran out of time to come in here so i feel really bad :o

Ange where are you headed for hols? HOpefully good weather huh. We'll be in byron as usual from thursday night until monday night and im sure it will rain like it does every year there. It wouldnt be blues and roots festival without hte :gloomy: :rain:

Mum2Riley i was going ot ask what nappies you're using as well? I have found that the only nappy that will last all night is the huggies. some of the others i thought were fantastic during the day but without a doubt i dont think anything else comes close to huggies, so if you're already using them then dont know what to say- xcept whooooaa riley!

Leanne I know EXACTLY that feeling of being so happy to see af, i had that scare a few months back.

I really want another bub so bad and would love to have one now but as a complete contradiction i dont want one just yet. I need tiana to be 11 (so 2 more yrs) so that we arent paying for 3 kids at school, $30,000 a year hell no!!! thats something like $600 a week!

Go ziggy on standing for so long! wow she's going to be walking so soon. i know i keep saying it but i seriously cant believe how fast these babies have grown.

I remember last year when we were in the due in july thread and there was another mum that popped in and said she was so sad because she was were we were a year ago and her little man was nearly a year old already...*sigh*... why r u in such a rush to grow up babies?! Tiana has only just turned 9 and has started getting boobies already, im so sad i was in denial for a long time thinking they were swollen from a reaction to somethin lol

Toni and Linda :fingerscrossed: to both your dh's with their new jobs.

Hi girls!!
Wow alot to catch up on I can't even try especially at this time of night.

Leanne glad to hear your af arrived I checked in tonght especially to find out. You must be releived. How is Jordan? Poor fulla sounds really unwell, I hope he continues to improve now.

Candy, Ally and Ange I am sorry to hear there are still so many probs with your bubs you guys are really suffering I feel for you I really do. I never have much advice to offer since I haven't been there but as always :hugs::hugs: and I hope things improve soon.

TJ how is work going?

Mum2Riley- I can't beleive Riley is in toddler nappies. Zeke has been in infant nappies over in NZ here 5-7kg ones, lol the next size up are just huge and leak around the legs but then Zeke is a pip squeak I think Xavier wouldhave been in toddler nappies by this age coz he was abit chubbier!. How frustrating to see tooth come down then go back up I hope it comes back through and stays there soon lol!!

Jeni 10.2kgs, she she sure is doing well!! I'll have to weigh Zeke when we get home I reckon he might have grown a bit fingerscrossed.

Linda - Ziggie is a go getter isn't she, she will def be an early walker by the sounds, can't wait to see her in action!

Oh Ange what MCN are you using on B at night??

Oh Toni cant believe your littlies are crook again, what a bad run your having. How did DH's new job go today?

Sorry I am being so brief but I can't possibly catch up on all of this tonight and I dunno if I'll get chance to post again before we head home next Tuesday, so much going on here.

All is well here, weather has been FAB, sunny 20-27degrees (after two cold days when we arrived) so not toooo out of our comfort zone.
Zeke is cutting 3 more teeth (all at the same time arrrgh) so he has four in total now.
He is absolutely full on, NEVER sits still and stands on his own sometimes. he likes to let go of the furniture and see how long he can balance.
Still little, dont think he has grown much. since he is in sposies at the moment he fits 000 still lol!! Can't say the same for myself, the food is so good I think I have put on a couple of kilos since we've been here.

TBH I can't wait to get home, the boys are so tired and out of routine they get grumpy by the end of the day.
Zeke has just been such a mummie's boy he wont leave me alone for five seconds. So the idea of a night out alone is off the cards.
Nevermind, good to see the fandamily and can't wait to get home and see all of my lovely friends on here.

Again I have missed half of you girls but I'll will endeavour to catch up properly when I get home, love to you all!!:flowerz:

Woah I am feeling overwhelmed by doing personals tonight. Just so much to catch up on and read.

Meanwhile I am here listening to my DH snore (which is very loud) as he fell asleep on the lounge he,he. Oh and listening out for my bubbies incase one wakes and needs something.

But here goes:

Hey Julz, I don't need anymore hugs for Brianna right now mate....in the last week she has jumped in leaps and bounds on the road to recovery. She is so much happier (yes more than ever ha,ha) and her new formula seems to be agreeing with her, no more bad bottom end or screaming as much etc....so I am very pleased and she seems so too.
As for a night nappy, well I had used a Motherease Sandy's Nappy with an extra Booster and Fleece Liner with an Airflow Cover....it worked o'kay, no leaks or anything for 12 hours. But I am going to try out the Baby Beehinds Bamboo with a Wool Cover soon...the Sandy's Nappy seemed a bit too bulky at the moment (as it's for 9kg plus). I am still waiting for Krap Katchers to contact me with their new ones though, as I liked yours (thanks, I used it twice and never looked back he,he). I will also look into the Sandmans soon I think. I am also looking into buying more for daytime use now, I have a Bubblebubs All In Two or One or something like that, which is very cute. And I can use my Sandy's for daytime when B is a bit bigger. I am now going to study up some more into pockets and get a couple of those too :) How exciting.
Sounds like you are having an excellent time, poor Zeke cutting so many teeth at once though. His photos you posted are gorgeous bye the way, what a cutie. Hey what Sling is that he's in? I want one.
Enjoy the rest of your Holiday, you deserve it and I can't wait to catch up and see all of your pics.

Candy - we are going to the Gold Coast for hols, the Turtle Beach Resort (never been yet, but supposed to be good for families). We are off to Seaworld on Saturday and shopping on the Friday and my In Laws are all visiting on Sunday for an Easter BBQ.
Hope you have fun at Byron even in the rain :)

Mum2Riley - the wedding was great, lovely day nice and sunny, the Bride looked pretty and the location up at Mt Tamborine was beautiful. Nice.

Kerriane - things getting any better for your DS?

Toni - as you know B changed to a special formula, but her actual drinking has increased because she agrees with this one, she must know it doesn't make her sick. But she'll usually have 120-160mls four times a day and another one during the night (usually a bigger one before bedtime). Oh and I hope your DD1 has a nice birthday party.

Leanne congrats on AF he,he. I hope Jordan is getting much better? I am glad Bailey is improving. You must be so busy, big hugs to you.

Bubby awake, gotta go, xo.

Evening Ladies!

Ang- So so so happy to hear things are going so well for Brianna, you guys deserve this and now you can start to enjoy each other! And enjoy your holiday mate, you will have a ball!

Julz- LOL like you hun I would love another bub, but just not right at this moment, timing would have been VERY off. Sounds like your having a great time in NZ! When do you come home? Its lovely seeing the family, but nice to get your kids back to reality and normality. Look forward to catching up again soon!

Candy- Hope you had a lovely time in Byron! Are you still there? How is JJ?

Toni- Sickness is really going around bad in QLD at the moment isnt it. Hope you guys get better really soon. As for the bottles, if he is having solids then maybe he is just cutting down his bottles. Bailey did that, and weaned very early, I think around 12 months he only had a morning and night bottle and by 14 months he was off bottles completely. As long as he is having good solids and wet nappies then he will be fine!

Not much to report! Boys all better and Bailey is off to kindy tomorrow THANK GOODNESS:smiliedance: I love him to death but I need a break!

Sleep well everyone:hugs:

hi ladies

Hope everyone is having a great night...

Jorbai - glad to hear that the boys are feeling better. I used to enjoy the days when my DS went to kindy too! I really needed the break - he was one full on boy

Julz - good to hear you're having a good time in NZ. Zeke sounds like hes growing up fast with all those teeth and cruising around the place. Isabella has just started crawling this week - she looks so cute and we all clap her :yelclap: and she looks so proud of herself!

Toni - hope you, bailey and bryce are all feeling better tonight

Candy - enjoy your holiday in Byron - i have never even been there!

Jenny - how are you and charlotte going?

YancinesMommy - how are you feeling with the pregnancy? Not as much time to rest when pregnant with #2 i found!! But time does seem to go faster.

Ange - glad to see you have some good news with Brianna so you can all relax a bit. ANd you are getting addicted to the MCN's!!! Ive just purchased a wild child night nappy and a Zada night nappy so will see how they go. I just use BBH with pul cover at the moment and never get a leak all night.

Hi to everyone else too:wave::wave:

DH and I had a meeting with the teacher last night for DS and have worked out some strategies for dealing with him (I hope). DS is doing great academically and has now made some friends which is good. So we have to work on the areas he is having trouble with. Maintaining consistency is the key and that is so hard sometimes.

Isabella has started to crawl this week (its a slow crawl but she'll soon be moving fast im sure!). She is also saying mum mum again...:)

She is very attached to me now and if i leave the room she starts to cry.
DH is on holidays for a couple of weeks over easter so we are thinking of going away for a night somewhere.

well off to bed now
bye all

Hey everyone!!!

With everyone's comments in regards to the nappies - yes I am using the Huggies ones......they just seem to be getting very full at night. I think the sizing/naming of them is weird. That toddler size comes before walker size. Toddler to me is an 18month old+, yet a walker to me is around a 1yr old just learning to walk. weird! I'm thinking maybe i need to to the walker size nappies just at night......but i'm worried they're gonna be so big and leak anyways. He's still fitting perfectly fine in the toddler ones though. It's that darn dreamfeed I think, he pees alot overnight! He is a big boy too.

Toni - I hope everyone in your house hold feels much better soon. It's hard with more than 1 child, as when 1 gets sick, it seems to get passed on to the others etc.

Julz - sounds like you're having a fantastic time over there. I went there about 4 years ago - absolutely loved it. I adored Queenstown. I found though some of the service there in cafew etc really bad....but had a great time anyways..................including a bunjy jump :)

Ang - I'm so glad your little one seems to be on the mend.

Leanne - re: your AF. Mine has been so abnormal since I had Riley. I keep bleeding for about 2 days mid cycle even though I'm on the pill etc, then i got my AF a day late on the weekend, but I'm hardly bleeding at all.......i only need a liner.....WTF? I've been freaking as well. I think I better get in to see a gyno eh?

jayisa02 - yay on Isabella crawling :yelclap:

Sorry if i've missed anyone....

I think those teeth must be coming soon. Riley had a bad day on Monday with my mum, he was crying for an hour in the morning, then slept for 3 hours - way past lunch and his 1pm bottle..............and he's been abit wingey, and waking up in pain etc. I've been giving him the Womens' & Children's Hosp teething gel - that stuff is the best  I think he's actually got a few coming :(

Well best be off, I've gotta take the work car and go out for the day.

cya

Hi Mum to Riley, just popping in to talk to you this morning he,he.

As far as Huggies go, yes they are great nappies....I had to use one size up for my DS Connor and add one of those disposable inserts (you can get these at Coles I think or Big W, not sure). THey are thick enough to soak up that bit extra wee they do overnight and big enough to fill the gaps around the legs from having to use a bigger size for night. If I find them in my cupboard I will have a look at the brand for you.

Have to go at moment, but come back again soon.

Hello Ladies!

Mum2Riley - Are you able to get the padded liners that go inside the nappies? I'm not sure if they make them anymore. I know they used to sell them in woolies. Hope those teeth come through very soon for Riley and he is not in to much more pain, poor little guy.

Kerriane - Hope things start picking up at school for DS1 now after your meeting last night. WTG to Isabella on starting to crawl. Soon she will be furniture surfing like some of the other bubs. Bailey is now starting to let go of things so he can turn and grab onto something else.

Leanne - Great to hear that the boys are all well now.

Ange - That is awesome news that B is going well on the new formula. I hope it keeps up. WTG to Connor on his toilet training. Have a great time on your holiday.

Julz - Great to hear from you. Thanks for sharing the pics in the pics thread with us they are great.

Candy - How is JJ doing? Is she settling down at all? Hope she is getting better with everything.

DD1's dad and sisters arrive today. She is excited to see them.

DH's new job went well yesterday and he may have another job with the same person just on a different site after this one is done.

Boys are starting to get better and so am I a little.

I have been trying to write this post for like an hour now. The girls just keep fighting and argueing over absolutly nothing. Had enough of it and it's really getting on my nerves. They just don't seem to ever get along at all anymore.

Hey girls

Ange - Congrats on Connor being TT ! Glad to hear things are getting better for you all thats awesome ! Oh dear another MCN convert hehehe addictive arent they !

Leanne - Seems weird to say it but congrats on AF's arrival lol ! I can imagine how you must have been freaking !

Jules - Glad you are having a great time & can understand you wanting to get back into a routine. Anytime we stay at my mums just for a few days im happy to get home !

Candy - Mmmm Byron *sigh* I sooo love that place ! Ive warned DP that when we win lotto im buying our holiday home there hahaha ! Im wanting another but am really glad we are waiting at the same time especially with all Griff's issues. I want him well & truly settled first ! How is JJ going ?

Linda - Certainly sounds like Ziggie will be on the go soon ! Wow ! Thats when you really know you are alive !!!

Kerriane - Congrats on Isabella crawling ! Its always exciting !

M2R - I used to have the same issues with Boof because he was so big & needed bigger sizes yet the leakage drove me insane. He was always weeing through especially because he slept on his side. Sooo glad the day i changed to cloth !

Toni - Aaaah dear sounds like the girls have hit the wonderful stage ! My cousin's girls hit 10 & 12yrs & things became a nightmare ... To the point my Aunty ( their grandma ) stopped having them at times cause she couldnt cope with the b!tchiness ! Hopefully its just a faze & things settle soon. Glad to hear your DH seems to be finding work must make things so much easier !

Well gees do you all really want to hear my stuff again

Squeak isnt getting better sadly & im really tired, exhausted & drained. Really & truly over it ! I know he cant help it but its so frustrating that i cant help him.

His poo has turned vile again & he is pooing nearly every nappy change, even overnite im changing him !!!! He isnt sleeping properly especially overnite he is waking screaming all the time probably doesnt help that he is poo'ing so much either. He has bad nappy rash from it all to the point its actually now bleeding at times :( Cant get in to see my Paed cause of all the public hols combined with his hospy time so i have to wait until the 1st April unless there is a cancellation *sigh*

Also having issues with Boof so i really just want to go somewhere & hide ! Living on 2-3hrs sleep a nite is doing my head in.

So yeah ... Great !

Ally- OMG hun, you really have had a rough trot. I dont know what to say hun, other than there really needs to be more availability to Paeds. And thanks for my AF congrats!!!

Toni- so glad to hear DH job went well! Hope he enjoys it!

M2R- Huun you should maybe have a little visit to your GP, perhaps your pill is messing with your cycle??? I know I always have a 29 day cycle, have done for as long as I can remember so to get to 35 days I was freakin big time!!!

Jayisa- Im glad you spoke to DS teacher, hopefully now you can work on it together! Consistency definately is the key! Well done on lil Isabella crawling! And it sure is the age for attachment isnt it! Makes us mums feel needed!

Bailey is at kindy and Jordy in Bed! So im kicking back! I really do washing, but its raining on and off here at the moment. BIL is coming to stay this weekend over easter so I have put the doona in the wash and might just have to hang it over the clothes airer inside to dry.

I booked flights to Melbourne for May, Im going down for my besties birthday! Im really gonna miss the boys but its only 2 nights so Im sure they will love their boys only weekend!

Nothing else exciting happening here, have a great day!

:wave:Well it's been a few days off the BH now.

I was busy with SIL's birthday preparations which went off well. Food was all delicious. My cake went very well will post pic when I get a copy. Sil looked so grown up and we are just amazed she is now 18:goodvibes:

It was my birthday yesterday and boy the start of it was a shocker.

DD2 could not sleep as it was so hot. I was up all night and finally got her down at 6.30am by rocking her in the bouncer and then just put the whole thing in the cot. I was going to jump back into bed but DH did and the other 2 were awake so I sat up and watched cartoons:rolleyes:. I had a shower because I was so tired.

At about 11 I went for a quick nap before I had to take dd1 to kinder.

Then we went camera shopping as dh dropped my other camera (reason why there has been no pics in july album) I wanted the pink one but they had sold out so we spent several hours trying to find the same camera in pink:o
So I still haven't got a camera but hoping to go back tomorrow or tonight and get the camera. I may just have to get silver.
Went out for dinner with inlaws and had a lovely time. I will see my family for easter saving them the trip to see me for my birthday.

Then the best present was the weather was cooler and all 3 of my gorgeous angels slept right through the night. Not one woke up:cloud9:

Toni~ My DS has also just got his 3rd course of antibiotics:hair: He can't seem to shake the chest infection either. I had him at the dr's on the 17th and the dr said his chest was still infected. I really hope this course shakes the infection.

Guys Shakyla is keeping me on my feet. With her crawling. I love when I am getting ready or just in another room and she crawls in:cloud9:

Her two front teeth are giving her hell. At the moment she has4 that have cut through but the other 4 are huge bumps:( I feel for her because DS had the same pattern of getting all of the teeth at the same time. It was a shocker of a time for him and now I watch Shakyla go through the same.

My dd is also noticing that we are having different foods from her and throws a bit of a tanty. Yesterday we had cake and I gave her a rice cake to munch, well she threw the rice cake and crawled over to her brother and sister to get their cake:laughing:. Everytime I would pick her up she did it again:p

Anyhoo better go see what else is going on before pick up time...

A wonderful friend of mine came & took my blubbering a$$ to see another doctor who then contacted our Paed ... Got to see him 30mins later ... Funny that !

He is highly allergic it seems so thats with the Losec & Zantac too so we are to come off them & hope that he doesnt need more meds for the GERD which could be a chance will settle once the Elecare has the time to heal his insides ! If not auuugh we are back trying to find something he isnt allergic too.

He nearly didnt take me seriously until i freaked out & started crying my eyes out. Then he turned back into the wonderful doctor i remember when i first saw him ! He even gave me a special note that if things gets so bad again through the nite i can go straight through into the hospital without them stuffing me around !

Have an appt with the GI in Sept  but am on the emergency list because my wonderful friend knows them all ... Gotta love friends like that !

Anywhos there are some more of our dramas

Honestly i should write a Soapie !!!!!

ally im so happy for you that you got to see the paed, and im also so sorry that poor griff is still having problems. its amazing that he can still keep his weight up with so much emptying out. poor little man, honestly babies are so amazing huh, they go through so much and are still so happy and easily pleased in between throwing up, sore tummies, sore teeth, bowel issues- little heroes they are

i feel guilty for saying so now but jj has improved quite a bit. she's now off the losec as of 10 days ago and she's on goats milk still wtih no bowel or spewy issues. drinking more than she ever did and finally eating solids, so i really think it was all reflux all along and not an intolerance. sleeping still is not great at night but at least her day naps are now two 1 1/2 hour naps, sometimes 2hours in teh morning, and ive had a few nights in the last fortnight where she's slept 5hours in a row i couldnt believe it! :smiliedance: so im hoping that now ive just accepted it and relaxed a bit she'll just start to sleep longer and longer as time goes on. the first cuople of weeks to get her to have day naps again i had to sleep next to her cot the whole time so i was there when she stirred or wokeup and i would just pretend i was sleeping and she'd eventually resettle herself after staring at me for a long time, so cute :goodvibes:

oops sorry ladies have to run dh wants me :valentine:

ally- Im so glad you friend managed to help you see the Paed, and good on you for turning on the water works, seriously something needs to be done for poor lil Griff. Lets hope he starts to pick up now and all this time can just be a distant memory. And remember hun, were always here for you, us July/Aug mummies have got to stick together:hugs:

Candy-:smiliedance:Im so so so relieved to hear things are going well for lil JJ FINALLY! Its such a shame so many of our group have had quite big issues with the bubs. Its just lucky they are all so damn cute! Im really gonna miss you tomorrow, its been too long between catch ups! We need to arrange another one soon! Have a great time in Byron too babe x

Jordy had one terrible afternoon. I think its behavioural tho. He is such a happy go lucky bub but now every time I put him down to play on his own he screams, in a tantrum kinda way. It drives me crazy! I love him to bits but I cant entertain him every waking minute. If i walk out of the room he squeals even more. Is anyone else experiencing this? Today he screamed for over an hour only stpping when I picked him up and laughing then screaming and crying when I put him down again:hair:

Hello Ladies!

Shilo - Sorry I missed your post that you posted just before my last post. It sux having to have the kids on antibiotics all the time. Hopefully this is the last time for Bailey. He has a repeat this time in case he needs it though so that is good. Hope Shakylas teeth are not giving her to much hell and they come through soon. And crawling lol. Bailey is like that now to. He will search the whole house looking for me at times till he finds me. That is funny about the cake thing lol.

Ally - That is great that you were able to get squeak into the pead right away. :fingerscrossed: that something settles down soon and he can be a much happier bub.

Candy - That is great news that JJ is doing much better now. :fingerscrossed: that the sleeping pattern starts to get better now and you can actually get some more sleep at night.

Leanne - Bailey is a bit like that sometimes if I put him down and walk out of the room. It just depends on how tired he is or if he has just gotten out of bed. He is still such a sook to if he falls over. None of the other kids were as bad as what he is lol.

The boys and I are feeling much better today. I hope this is the last of us being sickly for a while. I am so over it all.

Have to start getting things ready for DD1's B'day party today so I am not rushed off my feet tomorrow morning.

DD1 has stayed home from school today so she can spend some extra time with her dad and sisters before the go back home on Saturday.

DD2 feels a bit left out and has a little whinge about it. I told her that she goes off without her sister when she goes to her dads so this is her sisters time with her dad and sisters.

Very quiet in here today!

Toni: Glad your household is getting past all illness....just in time for all that easter chocolate!

Shilo: Happy birthday!

Ally: You know...you should write a book or maybe even keep a medical journal (maybe you already do). You never know, your experiences may hold the key to helping others??? (especially knowing who to ask, what to ask and how to get the medics to listen) By the end of all of this you may know more than the medics.

Lolly: Glad to hear that things are working out with JJ....it has been a long journey for your family. Hope it keeps getting better from here!

Z and I would like to wish all of you and your families a happy easter long weekend. Travel safe, keep well and enjoy the little ones - their first easter! Oh...and eat plenty of chocolate!

Herchy - Hello stranger, you are just lucky that I see you elsewhere ;)

Tina - Hope all is going well with bump and Yacine, she is going gret guns with all her teeth etc. Im sure she will be on the move soon!!

Leanne - Glad AF arrived for you, although I was secretly getting excited that you might be preg!! Glad you are happy tho babe, probably didnt help that you were stressing about it. How are the boys are they feeling better?

Mum2riley - you asked how many bottles - Lochie has 3 bottles a day between 200-240ml. I would probably drop the dream feed if I were you.Riley may not even wake for it, as now that he is on solids he probably doesnt need it.

Linda - Ziggy will be walking for sure the next time I see you. She is such a petite precious little thing.

Julie - Zeke has amazed me with how quickly he has gotten his teeth. One minute none, and now 4!! Hope he isnt biting you. Glad you are having a blast in NZ, cant wait to see you when you are back!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LINDA!! (CMD'sMUM) Hope you are having an amazing day babe!!

Hello to all I have missed Jenn, Andymum, Candy (but I have been talking to you anyway)

Work has been great, Im loving the adult interaction, and its even better that hubby gets some one on one time with Lochie. I love that we have 2 incomes, and he is still getting soley cared for by us. Last week was a bit of a pain with teething issues, sleep was a bit messed up, he kept yelling out "dad dad ee" I dont think its meant to be "daddy" but more just co-incidence, still cute however. But all is back to normal now.

Im thinking of starting Lochie in swimming lessons next term, he loves the water. We were at mums today swimming and man.... talk about trying to jump out of my arms.

Im off to get some cheesecake - I have had terrible cravings for it lately!!
NO NO not pregnant, I have just finished AF - it has been here for about 2 and a half weeks I have to go and get a pap smear, as my last AF was early december, so something isnt right!!

Oh pls send positive thoughts to my SIL, she has to go for a tertiary scan, as she is 21 weeks pregnant, and they have found a cyst on her bub. Fingers crossed all is well. Im not sure of the date of her next scan just yet!! :(

Tara - Hey hun, I have been meaning to chat with you on MSN but something usually interrupts me just as I go to msg you! Your SIL is in my thoughts, I hope everything is well for her and bubs. Glad to see you are enjoying work again! Hope little Lochie is well too. I am planning on getting H into swimming soon, he has never been in a pool yet but that will be changing real soon (we get ours in FINALLY on wednesday)

Ally - So glad you are getting the care you need for Squeak now, :fingerscrossed: he is back to his happy self soon. Hope you are taking care of yourself too, you deserve a hard earned holiday after all this!

Leanne - Yes I admit, I was secretly excited you could be preggers too lol :o but glad your AF showed up, just means I will get really excited when you guys do decide to try for number 3!! How are your boys doing hun? Hope all is well!

Candy - Hiya hun! How is everything going? How is JJ doing? I love your av, she is so adorable!

Toni - Glad to hear you are all mostly feeling better again! :fingerscrossed: it stays that way and no more dreaded colds or bugs come heading your way.

M2R - Hows little Riley doing?

Boymum, Jayisa, Julie, Tina, Herchy, Linda, Jenn, Holly and everyone else I may have missed how is everything going with you guys?

Ok that was my attempt at personals!
No teeth cut here yet for H, stubborn things! I finally have him sleeping in his own room too which I am so happy about, less disturbance for him when DH and I go to bed.
Busy year ahead for us, H and I are off to Newcastle to visit Jkate next month which is exciting! Then in August 1-4 we will be in QLD and I hope to catch up with a few of you lovely QLD girls!! In September we have friends coming over from the UK and in October I am a bridemaid in my besties wedding. December we are off to the UK for a month and hopefully DH will want to come back after that! At this stage a permanent move there is in the makings for 2010. DH will go over first and set things up then we will go over later. We are also going to ttc #2 in October-ish. Well thats us updated! I should probably end this novel here! Take care all :D

Hello Ladies!

Marieanne's party went well on Friday, the kids had a great time. Out of 11 of her friends she invited she only ended up having 4 that came and they were her closest friends from school. So with them and the cousins and brothers and sisters she ended up with 14 kids here so that was enough.

We went camping on Saturday night.....Didn't end up getting there till like 9:30 and the tent took about 1/2 hour to put up in the dark. Everyone had a great time though. We were up there with a couple of friends (and there 2 kids) of ours that Mike and I both used to work with when we were at Woolies. We ended up getting home around 3pmish yesterday afternoon. We all had a great time. It was nice to relax and not worry about anything.

Me and the boys are feeling better. I am still trying to get over the last little bit of the cold but the boys are fully over it now, I hope. Bailey is cutting teeth again but it does not seem to really be worrying him this time around. You can see the white of one of his top teeth that is trying to poke through.

HAPPY EASTER to everyone. I hope everyone had a great time.

Shilo - Great to hear that you got the camera that you wanted. Shakyla is gorgeous and thank you for sharing the piccies with us.

DQ - Great to hear from you. Hope all is going well.

Linda - happybirthday for the other day. Sorry I missed it.

Tara - Thinking of SIL and bub. Hope everything turns out ok and it is not to bad.

Laine - You have a busy time coming up. I'm sure you will have a great time with everything though.

Jenn - :smiliedance: for Charlotte and sleeping right through. I bet you were up waiting for her to wake up especially with it being the first time.

Ange - happybirthday to you as well for the 22nd....Sorry I missed that also, it has been so busy here lately.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter:flowerz:

Toni~ I am glad your dd1 had a great birthday and that you all had fun camping. I remember camping when I was very young for easter. We had a ball. Now DH and I would never go camping, so the kids will miss out:(

DQ I have missed all your posts. Glad your back and WOW TTC #6:yelclap: How very exciting.

Boymumhappybirthday to you too. What did you do for your birthday?

Tj Glad that your enjoying work. Very cute about the 'daddy'.

Jenn How great is it when they sleep through. I hope that she continues to do this for you.

Laine ~ Another TTC'er:smiliedance: October isn't that far away. I love your AV BTW.

Well it was our anniversary yesterday but we didn't do much as my 3 are very sick with temps. I made a really lovely dinner and we will do something when everyone gets over this period.
Atahlia has croup, ds still has the bad chest so now we have to get his chest xrayed today. DD1 and DD2 are still in bed and it's 10am. Shakyla was a nightmare yesterday and last night. Up the entire night again. We would put her in bed and within 10 mns she would wake. She has a really bad cough but it's not croup yet so fingers crossed.

DH has had 5 days off for Easter. His work rang yesterday to tell him that he could have today off as they didn't need him to come in. It's great with the sick kids and just having nothing to do and no where to be is really nice.

Easter was great I will upload pics in the other thread.

I am still alive, lol!

Getting broadband within the next 10 working days (so they say so i will be back on-line! (Right now i am stealing my neighbors wireless :o)

Wynnie is good, crawling well and pulling up now to stand and cruising on the furniture etc. Still only her bottom two teeth, but the top two have started to pop their heads through, so a bit of sleeplessness going on here atm.

Will take me a while to catch up so forgive the lack of personals, and i will catch up with you all again soon.

Hi Girls,

Nice to see you Mumma Jessy, at least Wynnie has teeth LOL, Brianna has none as yet...has one of her top teeth almost popping out though.

Heya Toni, That sounds like a huge party your DD had for her Birthday, 14 kids woah...well done. I am glad you are all feeling a bit better now. Darn colds and flus lately, they have come and gone throughout our household too. Still the kids have a touch of it, but nothing too worrying.

Jen, congrats on Charlotte sleeping through, how's it all going last day or so? She keeping it up for you. Well done.

Happy Anniversary OLT, congratulations. Sorry to hear everyone is sick at your house though, you are such a good Mummy nursing everyone and staying so positive through it all :)

TJ - glad you had a good 'me' day, you deserve it mate. What you been sewing?

Well for my Birthday, which was not a day I like to remember (I count Sunday Easter as my Birthday instead)....Connor burnt his little arm, he was cooking with Daddy in a small kitchen on holidays down the Coast making me Breakfast and he reached over (it was all so fast) and leant on the Hot Frying Pot/Pan....on the inner wrist is a big burn (about 7cm long). He screamed and cried for a good couple of hours cudding into me, we took him straight to a 24hr Dr's up the road who helped out so much and wrapped it all up with silver healing stuff and bandage....it now is o'kay to unwrap and didn't blister thank goodness. It's a bit sore for him, but he has coped very well. After that 'incident' we all went shopping for a while and let Connor do rides on train, little shop rides, digger and stuff at Pacific Fair. Let him choose chocolate to eat, drink he wanted and pretty much rule the rest of the day, poor little mite....he has been so good through it all though.

Brianna has been good, she didn't settle too well on holidays at night, but her Daddy walked her in her pram to sleep everynight to help her out. She loved Seaworld, so did Connor...we went on Friday last week and it was the Best day ever.

woops better go cook dinner, we are hungries.

Luv ya's.

Hello everyone!!

We are having a busy time at the moment.....DH grandfather has had a heart attack and we have been busy visiting him incase op doesn't go well when well enough to operate - you may remember that his other GD died late January, his step-dad died in February. A freind (DH's work friend) lost her bub at 37 weeks and funeral was last week (very sad). So has been full on.

On a happier note DH got a new job so no more grumpy DH :fingerscrossed:. It also means that we may have some spare money after paying all the bills, mortgage etc. So we will be able to go on small holidays and splurge 'just because we can' every now and then:smiliedance:. DH found out in his medical that he has quite a bad heart murmur (sp?) and has to have ultrasounds etc. Anyone know about this....should I be worried??

Little Miss Z is doing fine. She enjoyed her easter and even had a Kinder Surprise (Mummy helped her eat it of course!).

Anyway, enough about us.

Toni: Those top teeth are tough so it is great to her that DS is doing well. What a brave boy. Top teeth were torture for Z but bottom teeth didn't worry her as much?? Glad you had a great time camping. It's the simple things hey!! Also nice to hear that DD had a great party and that she had her close friends and family there to celebrate. Your house sounds like it has been very busy!!

OLT: Happy belated anniversary. I saw your photos and thought they were wonderful. Your children seem to always be smiling!! It takes just about everything I have to get Z to smile for a photo!! Hope Shakyla settles and sleeps well for you....how is her cough btw?

Mumma_jessy: I'm not sure that we have officially 'met' but it is nice to 'meet' you. Sounds like DD is well and truely on the move. I'm with you on the unsettled sleep because of teeth. It must be so hard for them, poor bubs. Every tooth that DD gets makes me think about how quickly she is growing up. I love that she is growing into a little girl but I do miss my little bubby girl.

Will be back tomorrow (hopefully) for more personals. Hope all mums and bubs are happy and healthy!!

Goodnight xx

Ange I was typing when you posted!!

OMG about Conner burning his arm! That must have really hurt to be upset for so long. I'm so glad that is didn't blister and hopefully it wont scar his little arm. Brianna and Ziggi must have devised a plan together....Z didn't settle very well when we went away for easter either. She hates the port-a-cot but doesn't settle in strange places as a rule (can't complain cos she sleeps like an angel in her own cot). Happy birthday btw (sorry I missed it!).

You reminded me, Ange, that I too am curious to know what TJ was sewing. I am crafty but can't sew for peanuts...sooo am often jealous when people sew something. A friend of mine just 'threw' together (as she puts it) a lovely fleece patchwork blanket for Z with a design in each square (can't think of the technical sewing term she used). I would love to do something like that for DD and be proud to say 'mummy made it just for YOU'.

Not much going on here atm, just same old same old :ecomcity:

TJ - Yes it might be me and 6 kiddies (well 5 and a 1/2 anyway) God knows I'm trying! :o I have read that you have gone back to work. Is it where you used to work before Lochie or something new? Good on you for doing it! Makes such a difference having some extra cash around the house!

Shilo - Happy anniversary hun!!! Bummer the kids were sick, you and hubby will just have to go out another night to make up for it ;)

Toni - Glad M's birthday was a good day!!!

Mumma Jessy - Good to see you around!! Hope to see you back again regularly!!

Hey everyone, haven't been in lately as Riley has been quite sick. He is teething really badly (i think 3 or 4 top ones) and was screaming for 2 days. That caused his throat to swell and had trouble drinking even water, so we were down the hospital on Tuesday night. Has an ear infection too :(

Seems to be a little better, sleeping lots to catch up. He had 4 hours sleep over Tuesday and that night. He's also off most of his solids as it hurts to swallow and only having about half his bottles. (lucky he's a big boy - plenty of fat stored up )

Slept quite well actually last night so :fingerscrossed: those teeth come down soon. Haven't needed any gel this morning and he's actually sucking on his dummy without his mouth being numb and chewing on toys etc this morning so looks like he's feeling better and those teeth aren't causing so much pain now.

So haven't been to work all week. Mon was the PH, I have tuesdays off and have had to have yesterday and today off, and 2mrw is my alternate Friday off. Not complaining though :D

Will try and get back and do personals at some point..........hope everyone is well and ate lots of chocolate on the weekend. I'm trying hard not to get stuck into Riley's stash :o

Hello Ladies!

Jessy - Great to hear from you and great to hear how well Wynnie is doing. Bailey is also full on with his crawling and furniture surfing now. He is game enough to let go with both hands now to grab onto something else.

Ange - Sorry to hear B'day was not so good. Poor wee Connor. Glad he didn't get any blisters though. DH decided to chuck a piece of steak on the BBQ while I was standig directly in front of it so I got splashed with the oil on it. This was while we were camping. I only got a few dot burns though, nothing like Connors.

Linda - Sorry to hear about DH's Grandfather. Hope everything goes well with the op and everything. Congratulations to DH on getting a new job hope it makes things easier and less stressful for all of you. Try not to stress about DH's heart murmer at this stage (I know that is easier said than done). Just wait and see what the doctors have to say about it more.

DQ - Hello. Great to hear things are well.

Candy - Yeah it is Bailey. Bryce is the older one......Now I will give you something to confuse you even more. DH has twin Boys in America. Well there names are Brent and Brady and then there is our boys Bryce and Bailey . I will try and get a pic of his leggies for you when he is standing up.

Mum2Riley - Sorry to hear that Riley is not doing well at all with his teething. Hopefully it is all over soon. Glad to hear he is feeling a bit better with it all and the ear infection. Bailey has been on 2 rounds of antibiotics the last month to get over being really chesty. :fingerscrossed: no more.

Woopsies forgot to add.

Does everyones bubs like to sit down? Bailey is really funny as you have to force him to actually sit. If he is crawling around and comes across something that he wants to play with he will stop and either get down on his tummy or have one hand on the ground and one leg on the ground with the other leg propped up at about a 90 degree angle and his foot flat on the ground. Even when you try and get him to sit down when you place him on the floor you have to force him to sit by bending his legs into a sitting position lol. He can sit now and has been able to do it for about 2 weeks or so but it is just so funny as I have never known a kid that does not like to sit much at all.

He also has 4 big bulges on his top gum. They don't seem to be worrying him to much. He is a little bit grumpy during the day a bit but not to much. Isaw the whites of one of his teeth almost poked through but it seems to have gone back up again.

Also he has starting eating banana out of his mesh feeder now and he eats most of it with only a little squished up here and there. You can't eat in front of him anymore without him wanting some of what you got.....We had home made burgers last night and he just would not leave me be so I gave him some of the meat pattie (Home made as well) out of it and he loved it. He is also back to drinking his 240 ml bottles so it must have just been the cold and not being able to breath properly and was wearing him out all the time and not being able to finish it all.

Bryce is being a little rascal lately with Bailey. He does not want to share anything with his little Bro.....I gave Bailey a banana yesterday and offered half of it to Bryce and he said he didn't want it. So I gave it to Bailey and he cracked it. So I went and got him one for himself and I peeled the skin about 3 quarters of the way down and the banana broke so he lost it and started getting mad and was trying to make it stick back on there lol. He does not like to share his toys with him to much at the momet either. He is saying no alot also when you tell him to do or not to do something. Hope this little phase ends soon with him.

Oh yay!! So glad to see some of the Due in July mummies posting:goodvibes:

Mj Oh how could you live without broadband. Can't wait to see pics of W and your other 2 cuties.

Monique, OMG 20 weeks:eek: That has gone so fast. Do you have some new pics of your spunky li'l man? love to see them,.

Mum2Riley, Oh I hope your li'l one gets better real soon. I truly think their is nothing worse than watching your child sick and there is nothing you can do for them.

Toni, Shakyla crawls and sits crawls and sits when ever she finds something she wants to play with or even eat:p

Well what a start of the week. Shakyla is on a new antibiotic as she still had temp at 4am last night so got DH to run her up to our 24hr clinic/ chemist. Daylans chest xray showed asthma and he has croup as well as atahlia still has it. My god the last 2 weeks have had dh and I living off an hour sleep between all 3 of them. A and D are now on a steroid prednisilone (sp) but I know a lot about the drug as DH and SIL have been on it before,. I really didn't want them on it but the croup is not clearing and making it VERY difficult for them to breathe at night:( So our evenings are steam showers, baby balsam, asthma spray then panadol and meds thats not even including brushing teeth and our story time. Bedtime is now taking an hour and a half. Oh well I hope this week they all get better.

Dh is trying to get her to sleep now but she is not going easily she wakes every 10mns.

Our washing machine is not working so I was hand washing but I am taking the other loads to the laundry mat tomorrow. I really cannot be bothered hand washing as well as looking after everyone that is sick and trying to keep up with the rest of the house. I asked MIL to ring a guy to come look because I just don't want to deal with trying to organise anyone.

I was suppose to have someone from another real estate agent call through today for an evaluation but I rang and left a message that I could no longer do it today and to reschedule it. So she rang back and had such attitude:mad: I was firm because I thought NO my children are sick and I have been up all night and I don't want to let someone track through right when I was putting all three for a nap. So I agreed tomorrow at 11.30 if she wants to get infected and feel as cr@p as us be my guest!

hi everyone

DramaQueen, Monique & Mumma jessy - dont think i have "met" you before so a special hello to you and your bubs. Hope you all had a great easter :)

Mum2riley - how is riley going? it can be so exhausting when the kids are sick and it seems to happen when the holidays are here!
OLT - hope your week improves in regard to the kids geting better. My DS was sick over the easter break but is now back to his usual self! I thought something was up with him when he wasnt arguing with anything i said:rolleyes:

My DH is on holidays and has been doing so much work around the house without even a single reminder - i am so impressed with him at the moment . Isabella is now crawling properly and has started to clap her hands when asked - she gets so much attention from everyone when she does it that she hasnt stopped all day :yelclap:

Well im thinking of finding some work to help out with the finances. I have an accounting degree but dont want to work full time so im looking into what i can do at home. Im doing a flyer to advertise an ironing service so i can do this while looking after isabella. Also looking at doing some data entry work - dont care what i do at all - we just need a bit of extra cash.

have a great night everyone:)

ive been meaning to ask - and this is probably a dumb question - but how do you put pictures into the other thread?

toni796
28-03-2008, 08:31
Hello Ladies!

Shilo - Sorry to hear that the kids are still sick. I hope they get better now that they are on stronger meds. Ugh at having to hand wash the clothes. I did that a while back before we got our new washing machine and then went stuff this were going to the laundromat lol. I to would have called the real estate and rescheduled with the kids not being well.

Kerianne - How nice of DH to be doing so much work around the house while he is on holidays. Yay to Isabella for clapping. Bailey still isn't clapping but if I grab his hands and clap them together he laughs or has this big cheeky grin on his face.

To put pics in the other thread you need to upload them to a picture hosting site. I use picasa wep albums. Link Below.

https://www.google.com/accounts/ServiceLogin?hl=en_GB&continue=http%3A%2F%2Fpicasaweb.google.co.uk%2Flh% 2Flogin%3Fcontinue%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252Fpicasaweb. google.co.uk%252F&service=lh2&passive=true

You just make an account and then you can begin uploading pics to it.

Then you just copy and paste the link out of the address bar into the pics thread.

Tara- How cute that Lochie had a ride on one of those handle bike things. Were you worried about him holding on/falling off? I would like to get one for Charlotte when she’s old enough they look like a great idea.

Ange- Sounds like you had a fantastic holiday. Poor little Connor’s arm. Since there are no blisters it will heal up pretty I hope. You are such a nice Mummy letting him have a really fun day on all the rides. Charlotte’s sleep has been pretty good thanks for asking. The only real problem is when she wets herself through and I have to get up and change her and the sheets and everything. I don’t know what to do about it.

Toni- I know exactly what you mean about having to bend the legs to get Bailey to sit. Charlotte does the exact same thing!

OLT- Don’t you just love having your husband home! My husband has had time off too and it’s so nice to hang out together.

OneBubbyGirl- Congratulations on your hubbie’s new job. Yay to more money!!!

Mum2Riley- Hope the worst of Riley’s teething is over for now. Sounds like he has had a really rough time with it.

Kerrianne- Good luck with finding some work. It would be great if you could use your accounting degree to pick up some work somehow. I guess it’s hard when you need to work from home.

Where is everyone these past few days?

Jen - what type of nappy do you use for Charlotte at night that she leaks through to the sheets? Maybe you could use a wool cover for whatever nappy she is in so it soaks up any wees? Just a thought for ya'. Oh and I use a little cot matress protector that goes on straight over her sheets and velcros up underneath so it can be taken straight off when wet and dry underneath (about $25 from Target).

Kerriane - How cute their clapping is hey? Brianna has been clapping for a while now too. Good luck with your ironing service and work search. How is your Son at school now? All o'kay?

OLT - sounds like you are going through a rough trot mate, you poor fings. Hope it all settles there for you all soon, especially for little bubby :( Hugs.

Hi Monique - nice to hear from ya'...congrats on 20 weeks, how exciting.

Hey I mentioned that Brianna was very unsettled on holidays...well that's because she'd been teething big time and we didn't know it. We thought yeah her top teeth are coming, one is nearly through...but it was actually her bottom (we didn't even check there), it came out oh so fast over the last couple of days I assume because that's when she's been the sookiest and vomiting more. So this morning I found it, a little toothy peg sticking out from the bottom gum, how cool. Poor thing though.

Woops, best go for now...order some yummy dinner (Friday is take away night) and have a shower.

Come back later to say hi to you I missed.

Have a good night anyway.

OH Monique :smiliedance: How exciting :smiliedance:

I also use picasa much better than photobucket uploading is much faster and the site isn't forever crashing.

Well I was coming on to say my machine got fixed and it was only a blockage. Washed first load perfect... Washed second load DH just went to unload and it's full of water again!!!! I paid $70 for the blockage I am hoping he can come back in the next day or so and fix the problem and not charge us extra for it being weekend:hair:

Well kids were playing really nice together today so I have a feeling we are on the mend:fingerscrossed:

Will get back on in the morning... Unless it is quiet like it is now..

Oh that's awful news Jenni - poor little Tali, give her big cuddles from me and Brianna.

How does a baby get boils? That's not something I have heard before, how bad for her to go through something like that, ouch.

Well I hope you are feeling o'kay and not been too emotional with it all, hugs for you.

Hi TJ - how is your craft and sewing going? What you sewing?

Monique congrats on expecting a Girl, well done. How wonderful for you all.

OLT - glad your kids are playing well together today, that's nice to hear. You must feel a lot better they do anyway. Put your feet up tonight.

Anyone heard from Jorbai (Leanne)? Have missed her around. And Julz? She's back from NZ now I know.

hi all

jenni - how is tali going? poor little thing - must have been painful for her. Is she on antibiotics too?

monique - congrats on the scan results and hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well

ange - how is brianna? its so exciting when that tooth comes through!!! (and a relief if its been causing problems!) Thanks for asking about DS - he is doing alot better now and his teacher told me he has been really good this week. OUr strategies must be working i think and he seems much happier too. We have been trying to spend individual time with him too and doing something he likes. Being an only child for 4 1/2 yrs he was used to all our attention.

We havent been doing alot today. DH had food poisoning last night and was up vomiting :barf:-poor guy!! ANd isabella has a runny nose and has only slept 30mins all day. We took DS to the park but DH felt so sick that he took isabella and went home and DS and I walked later. But its all quiet now - kids are asleep and DH is feeling alot better.

how has the night been for everyone else?

TJ - are you enjoying work? I guess you wouldnt have much spare time now - is it pretty hectic?

Jorbai - how are the boys going? How did you go with all the storms? You are at the gold coast arent you?

take care everyone

Morning lufflies, its a bit chilly here this morning!! Brrrrr

Jennie - thats terrible news about poor little Tali, I really hope she is ok :(
big hugs for her and also to you. I hope she is on the mend, what a scary scary time for you. Ill be thinking of you both.

Ange - thats great news about little B's toothy pegs. I really love her, I just do!!
I've been sewing a few different things, wheat bags, PJ pants for Lochie (havent got around to making any shirts) and im in the middle of making him a new sleeping bag as its starting to get cooler.

Jayisa - I use photobucket for photos. But I see you have worked out picasa :D
Work is going great, Im only doing 25 hours a week, so its a great balance, enough for me to get out of the house and use my brain, enough money coming in, and at the same time still have all arvo to do what ever I need to. So far its all working out well.
Good luck with ever you decide to do. But there are plenty of people who need and want book keeping work done, you could do that from home, and also at night or what ever once the kids are in bed, you should advertise, alot of very small businesses, or even sole operators would be interested im sure.

Olt - I dont envy you one bit about hand washing clothes. GRRR I would have been super p!ssed when it broke again the next day, hope the fella came back to fix it properly this time at no extra charge!!!

Jenn - In regards to Lochies bike, it has a bar thing that goes around his waist that he holds on to, I thought he would have been alot more "floppyier" and all over the place on it, but he is fine. Im sure Charlotte would be fine as well seeing as she can sit up soo well. Ill post some pics in the other thread so you can see it.

I have to go and buy some larger winter clothes for Lochie all of his 00's I dont think will last much longer, they are getting a bit tight to get on and off over his big head.
I might either go get some today, or head out to Redcliffe for a walk/ride along the water with Lochie.
Had a girls night last night, hubby was at work. So lochie and I went to a gf's place, for thai dinner, dvd's and cheese cake. Was lots of fun.
Im having terrible cravings for cheese cake and camembert cheese lately - no not at the same time. and NO not pregnant.

Have a lovely day girls.xx

Jen sorry to hear about Tali, that would have been very hard for you and Tali.

Tj Have fun whatever you decide to do. I would go the shopping way:p I love shopping.

jayisa02 Oh I hope your hubby recovers quickly, Yuck!

Well my DH fixed the machine at 1am the other day and it was another blockage further up the pipe. He is pretty ****ed that he didn't do it in the first place as we literally wasted $70:thumbsdown: Note to self no more washing pillows in our washing machine go to the laundry mat.

Not up to anything here DH is still sleeping DD2 is having her morning nap and the other 2 are watching dvd's that we hired.
Think I may go and clean my car.

Well ahve a great day guys:wave:

Brianna has another tooth already, that's two in two days.

One is at the top (one of those fang teeth) and the other at the bottom, looks like there's two more on the way again. She doesn't do things by halves or take her time at all this girl ha,ha.

Thanks for saying how much you love her Tara, she is a very loveable baby and happy all of the time I know...we are so luck to have her in our lives as she brings us so many smiles and brightens up our days. Just like her Big Brother does. I have two such happy natured and friendly bubbies.

YOu are so good to do all of that sewing Tara, I would love to do something like that. I am going to look into getting a sewing machine I think and give it a whirl sometime soon. You and Julz have inspired me.

Kerriane I am glad to hear your DS is settling better now, yeah it would have been hard on him to welcome a baby sister, turned his little world upside down. You sound like such a kind and patient Mummy though which would make him feel secure.

This has been a good week-end so far, one more good thing is that everytime I wear my jeans or go to try on new ones at the shops the Size 12's are now too big...looks like I might be a size 10 now, wow I know, it's been at least 3.5 years since I could say that ha,ha.

Better go, got some Ebaying to do.

Bye.

Hi all!!

Jeni - OMG poor wee Tali, so sorry to hear of all you have been through, must have been soo scary:crying: Glad to hear she is well now. Must have been horrible to see her so ill, I dont know how I would have handled it.
Hope she is back to her fighting fit self very soon!:fingerscrossed:

Monique congrats on expecting a little GIRL I hope you are well and managing the pregnancy ok whilst juggling all the kids. Dunno how you do it, must be a fit woman. My two bugger me out most days and I am not even preggers!!

DQ - OMG TTC #6 you go girl!!!

Ange - Oh more teeth, how many is that now?? Did I remember to wish you happy Birthday last week, I hope so if not well I hope you had a nice day and got some pressies.
Zeke did the same thing, he cut four teeth in a matter of a week lol, so no more gummy bear Z next time you see him, They look so different when they get their toothy smiles!

TJ - How is work going are you enjoying getting out and about on your own for a but?? Good on you for sewing I need to get stuck back into mine too.

OLT - :hair: the bloody washing machine what a pain in the backside. Onething you cant live without when you have kids is the washing machine. I hope get it sorted this time and that you dont have to fork out more money for it.

Hey Toni how you doin, loved your easter pics of B, he is gorgeous boy loves his choccy too lol!!

Well I have to leave it there for now as I am getting a DH massage woohoo. I have a very sore neck as we went out on our friends boat yesty to do some tubing ( towed by boatvery fast on a floating tube/biscuit), was heaps of fun but I got thrown off BIG time at a bout 20knots and hit the water head first, all I can say is OUCH!!!!!:crying: ( I have pics of the crash too I'll post them when I get a chance).

We are all home in one piece but got hit with bloody gastro the day after wee arrived so that knocked us for a couple of days. We are also without a computer atm while ours is being upgraded so catn get on here as much as I'd like. My BIL is living with us atm so I am on his now while he is taking a break, but he is one here gaming most of the time.

Zeke is still my shrimpy boy, I reckon he might have grown a bit though I'll get him weighed this week. He looks a bit different with four teeth though lol..

Anyhoo nighty noight girls talk soon:bee:

Hello Ladies!

Jennie - How horrible for Tali.....I know what it is like with the boils DD1 has had them before 2 or 3 times about 5 years ago. Glad she is feeling better now.

Ange - Holy . Briana sure does now how to do it all at once huh. Hope it's all over for a little while soon. Congrats on the size 10 clothes as well.

Shilo - What a bummer that DH didn't know how to fix the machine the first time round. Hope it's all good now. Hope the kids are now feeling better.

Kerriane - Hope DH is feeling better now. What a horrible thing to get.

Tara - I hear you on the growing out of clothes.....If I can without it looking to unusual I will buy at least 1 or 2 sizes to big for the boys so that they have them for a bit longer and we don't have to spend so much money. Glad you had a great night out with the ladies.

Well we didn't really have a great weekend. We were going to go to the zoo yesterday and well I left the back car door open and DH went to back out of the garage and now the door does not close properly. The bottom part closes how it should but the top part where the windows are sits out fro the car a little bit. Enough for you to stick your fingers in and it not to have a good seal. So now we have to get that fixed, hope it does not cost to much money. I feel so stupid for leaving the door open.

Bailey is teething still. Has 4 top teeth that you can see the whites of and are bulging in his gums quite a bit. I would say a week or so away before they come through. Good thing is he is pretty much his normal self and they are not worrying him.

toni796
30-03-2008, 21:53
Sorry Julz, We posted at almost the same time as each other lol.....Good to hear that your safely at home. Bit of a bummer with the gastro though. I bet you were looking forward to getting home and relaxing for a couple of days, not getting sick. Ouchies about coming of the tube like that.

HI Everyone

toni - did u actually end up going to the zoo? whereabouts in qld do you actually live?

jenni - how is tali? hope shes on the mend now?

JennCharlie - how are you and charlotte going? Did you go anywhere over the easter break?

TJ - all your photos were so cute of lochie!! as everyone else has commented - love the bike!!! i wonder if they come in pink :D

Julz - you sound like youve had a great time in NZ - shame you got gastro on your return though  hope you are all well now. My DS has had gastro once as a toddler and i felt like i was cleaning up for days and days...

My DH is better now and back to his usual self. Little isabella hasnt been well though - she has been crying on and off all day and has hardly been sleeping in the day. Has a runny nose and cough - shes still drinking and eating normal though and no temp. Ive put a vaporiser in her room tonight and got her up for a "dreamfeed" to keep her well hydrated. In amongst the mayhem today DS's fish died and hes devastated and wants to replace the goldfish with a puppy!! (big price difference i say ).

Hi to everyone else - hope u are having a good night

TJ
30-03-2008, 22:42
Julie - so glad you are back, and that you are now well, sux being sick, and I reckon gastro would have to be one of the worst!!

Toni - bugga about the car, i too hope its not too expensive to get fixed. MIght be cheaper just to get a new door from the wreckers or the likes?
I did the same thing to my nana's car when I was about 7, left the door open and she backed out... oppps :o

Karrianne - Yep bike comes in pink, this is Lochie's cousins
http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e329/tara-jane/LJ/DSC03863.jpg
however this is the one without the canopy, you will notice that this one doesnt have the foot tray either, just foot pegs, and the pedals of course.

Olt - Yep I did go shopping instead, couldnt be bothered driving over to the 'beach' I use that term loosely, as its more like waterfront than beach. I just walked around the block with Lochie in stead.

Here is something that I whipped together tonight - Sock Monkey (http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e329/tara-jane/DSC03911.jpg)

30-03-2008, 22:43
We didn't end up making it to the zoo....We went to ToysRUs and got a new stroller for Bailey, one that lays down. We need a smaller one to use when we go camping as we don't have that much room to pack stuff into the car so the big pram is just way to big.

Then we ended up at WOW sight and sound and put like $1500 worth of stuff on GE credit. It was 24 months interest free and 12 months deferred repayments. We would not have done it if we didn't have those terms.

Sorry to hear Isabella is still not feeling well. Hope she starts to feel better soon.

Oh Monique - so good to see little Tyran again!! He is growing up to be even more handsome than he was before.
Is that a birth mark developing on his stomach?

Awwww look at Tyran. He is such a big boy now and cheeky as well.

Great scan of bubs and I know what you mean about having the girls around to help out a bit when you can't bend down to do things. Good luck with choosing a name you like.

Guess what.....The car door has been fixed :smiliedance:. Didn't cost us anything either. DH just took it in to a panel beater about 15 mins ago and all he did was bend the top back in. It is such a huge relief as I thought it would cost us a couple of hundred to get it fixed at least.

Does anyone elses bubs have birth marks? Only DD1 has a birth mark but the other 3 kids do not.

Hello! Long time no chat for me! LOL! I havent had the chance to get online all week but here I am now!

I have read the last few pages tho!

Update here: Jordan is going well! Still getting on his hands and knees but just wont take that next step to crawling, lazy lil man!!! He is actually going well playing away on his own tho which is great!

Me: Well Im another "returning to work" mummy! Im not actually doing it totally for the money (well I am coz it will be handy but I didnt actually look for the job) but because the offer was too great to refuse and I will gain so much experience from it! Im working in my neighbours Day Spa on a Friday and Saturday. Bailey already is in Kindy on a Friday and my Mum usually spends every Friday with us so she is happy to have Jordan! Then on Saturday the boys will stay at home with DH! Its only 10 hours a week and very flexible, they will book in my clients around my needs! And I will be about $200 a week better off as she is paying me really well! Plus they will pay for me to do some extra qualifications on my course!

I wont go back and write personals, sorry Ladies but I would be here forever! LOL! But promise to catch up on them soon!

Luv to u all xox

Hello Ladies!

Was back at the doctors with Bryce today. He has conjunctivitis. It's not like the normal one though. The white in one of his eyes looks like it has a big cut in it but the doctor said it is something to do with this type of conj. He also had a quick look at Baileys eyes and said that he also has it and just to use Bryce's drops and ointments on it.I feel like the kids have been sick for months again now and I can't seem to kick the colds for long either as the boys keep giving them to me.

I hope we are all well when we go to Townsvill on the 11th as I am really looking forward to getting away for a few days.

How are you and G doing today Ally? Hope you got some sleep last night and feel a bit better than what you would have being stuck in that hospital for as long as you were.
