i think the cat haven can board if you're lucky enough. they're in shenton park. i think tho that a lot of boarding places are actually south of the river. sometimes vets board as well.

i have three cats of my own. luckily if i go away tho i get my best mate to house sit and look after the cattys for me.

i hope they dont get stressed out by the trip.

Hiya, I can definately recommend Angels Rest Cattery in Canningvale. Kimberley is the lady who owns it and she is lovely. Ive left my old cat there a number of times and its a nice, clean, new cattery.

I can recommend Kismet in Canningvale. My dog goes there (they have play all day which he loves) and I'm sure the cattery would be really good as well. My dog is always super happy when he leaves there. He didn't seem as happy after a stay at another place.

Jane.

Some of the vets will board cats - we use one in spearwood (SOR). Maybe ring/email a few close to the area you will be in.

I use Julie's boarding kennels at Malaga. They take dogs & other animals as well as cats.

When we move, we have our 3 cats and dog picked up / boarded / dropped off using Dogtainers. We have used them for our past 4 moves since 1999 and the most recent being December last year. I have never had any problems with them except this time around I got a phone call as one of the cattery attendants thought my desexed male cat was about to have kittens. A bit of a giggle but to be sure there was nothing sinister like cancer, he was vet checked and found to be fine. Was amusing cos Wilsons tummy is a bit of a odd one and he's not a slim lad like his adopted bro & sis.

With sedation, is that what your vet recommended ? We have never sedated our pets for the flights. Vets usually advise against it unless your pet is extremely stressed in situations. Cat are pretty cruisy and take things really well. So yeh only get it if the vet recommends it.

thanks KJE mum...our male cat is very scared...someone comes to the door and he gets very scared and hides so i wonder how he will go on the plane?? i have also heard sedating can make them wotse...so will talk to my vet in tuesday when i take thehm in.
we have found a cattery, rollen cattery....they seem really nice...

hopefully we find a place tho and we can cancel the cattery, but if not at least i know they will be safe.

we are flying on the same flights as the cats so we will just be taking them to the airport with us :) but thanks for the info, we did look at their website!
