Man! Just lost a whole post!

Sorry I haven't been around. I'm feeling constantly nauseous now and it's draining. Mim, I find it reassuring as I was sick with both boys till 13weeks but felt nothing before my m/c.

Hello to everyone, I am reading all the posts but just don't have the energy for personals at the moment.

 I'll be back to my normal chatty self soon!

Cordelia: Nope not gastro, just her usual throwing up for reasons unknown! Am hope she grows out of it sooner than MIL says DF did! School age? yikes!
Dont worry with the nervousness of leaving Caitlin for 1 day a week for work, I hated it at first but really I think it helps keeps us sane. For me now work is my time out, occasionally I go to work to rest LOL. Hugs for the first few times for you xxx
LOL at the nose pick ahha aren't they just adorable in a gross kind of way sometimes
Katie goes "shhh" with the finger in front of her mouth but then it usual shoots up her nose for a visit while its there. Its like hmmmmm while Its here I may as well poke it up that hole it fits into so nicely.
Brag away! I love hearing it all from everyone.

wildatheart: Glad the pregnancy is still going well :hugs: all though it be a bit nauseas.

Mim: Sorry to hear Mum didnt have a great night but glad yous did, helps us revive huh?
Hopefully he settles better there next time.
The last 2 days I have had to take Katie to Mums as their car is in the work shop and so her naps have been there in the porta cot, well am pleased to say she sleeps for min 2 hrs and goes down happily! YAY makes me feel okay about leaving her on our honeymoon to know that.

Mouse: Glad TJ seems to be more settled. Hope youve recovered from the long trip.
Got your pm , will check it out after post, sounds perfect! thanks

liviesmum: Sorry but youll have to wait for the day lol. Ill let yous out of your misery early waiting by letting Mouse up a few pics she will take as soon as she can, rather than wait for me to get back and time to do it
Phoebe looks just gorgeous !

DFB: I agree, a lovely age, so keen to help! Lets make the most of it before they wake up to it all I say LOL

I agree on the Daylight saving, so hard to get things back to normal. Dinner at 4 ( was 5 ) bed by 7, used be 8 now wakes 630 ISH!!!!! used be 8ish.

Kewlchick: glad the scan went well xxx

Sammy: Hope your feeling better soon hun.

Tabby- Cool rocking horse, bet Katie just loves it- and very cute potty photo! Congrats on DS2's new job. Your life seems to have become just so busy this year- alot going on for you atm!

Sammy- :hugs: hope the m/s does not go too much longer although early days still yeah? How many weeks are you?

Bit of a better night last night thanks to Dh- I just needed to sleep so he dealt with Bridget and I got a good block of sleep before Phoebe woke at 3:30am for a feed. I still dont know what to do- Mum said if I went to trascillian now they would still wrap Bridget but in a single flat sheet- this is what they did with my cousin and he was about 14 months when my Aunty went with him- just not too sure about that though.

What do you guys reckon?

Better go, talk later.

Well feeling pretty tired- Bridget has become a nightmare at night since I got home with Phoebe. She really has adjusted to Phoebe quite well during the day- gives her lots of hugs and kisses and quite happy to share me with her little sister- at night a different story- rarely goes down in her cot- screams:hissy: like she is being murdered- and the controlled crying thing does not seem to be working unless I am not doing it right? If she does go down in her cot it is for an hour or 2 then she wakes up and screams and screams til we give in and put her in our bed- but even then when Phoebe wakes for a feed, Bridget wakes too and will lay there awake til Phoebe goes back down- thats if she does not jump out of bed and wander around the house yelling out to Olivia!!:hair::hair: I dont know what to do- any suggestions?

Liviesmum – I can imagine it’s pretty full on in your house atm. I’ll give you a run down on what I do to get T1 in to bed..

Talon goes to bed around 7 – 7.30ish. I usually tell him its bed time, that’s when he goes up and give daddy cuddles and kisses then he walks to his room. Usually I’m right behind him with his bottle and pooh bear comforter. I do have a couple of story books and a toy car in his cot so if he's not ready for bed he’ll play for a while but most of the time he drifts off before he finishes his bottle. I leave the hall way light on until I go to bed and I have some soft lullaby music on aswell.

This works for me and never had a problem with T1 going to bed (only when he was getting his molars, but that another story lol). I hope you find away to get little Bridget to stay in her room.

:hugs::hugs: to you hun xx

Strawberry- thanks for the advice. The only comforter Bridget has is a dummy- she does not have bottles- took herself off milk after xmas only drinks from a sippy cup. Maybe I should introduce a teddy or something??? May be too late though- she is a nightmare- her screaming is out of control- she screams at everyone- she is doing it right now- Oohhhh my ears!:hair:

Gee i wish Talon would take himself off bottles lol. Does Bridget have a doll? May introduce that or yeah see if a teddy does the trick... During the day if Talon cracks it. I usually let him sit in the playroom watching one of his dvd's or he just eats lol. He's always been a happy chappy thank goodness.

Oohh sweetie if only i was close to you i would take little bridget out for the day. I reckon T1 and Brig would get on like a house on fire....

She wont even sit and watch the TV, not for even 5 minutes!
Think I will look at giving her a bedtime doll or teddy. DD1 had a favourite baby, that she still loves to pieces now- but she had an interest there in babies and dolls- Bridget just seems not to care about her toys- she could take them or leave them- She seems more interested and content when going through my kitchen or bathroom cupborads, or getting into the computer room and pulling it apart- So funny how different each kid is- I find it so hard to occupy Bridget- LOL- Quite funny when you think about it.

She's not the only one that likes getting into cupboards lol. Talon does the same. You can get dolly's that cry and you put a dummy in their mouth to shut them up lol maybe that might work.

Hello all
Livesmum :hugs: to you I don't really have any advise I will prob me asking you for it soon enough. But maybe what Strawberry_Shortcake says might help some times when Lachlan wakes up to early in the mornings I give him a bottle in his cot and a couple of books and he drinks and has a play then goes back to sleep.
Strawberry_Shortcake Thats wow that Talon goes to bed so easy. I have started giving Lachlan his bottle and telling him when he has finished it that its time for bed and off we go down the wallway and I give him a kiss on each check and in bed he goes some times he talks and has a play and then goes to sleep so it's good to hear that one day soon he will be toddling off to bed after hugs with DH.
Tabby What a great rocker and potty and a even better price you can get some great stuff on Ebay hey. Oh and your wedding stuff just looks so pretty love pink.
Mouse How are you and bubs feeling now I hope you are both doing well you were pretty sick late time I was on here.
Wild@heart Hope your nausea is getting better not much fun feeling like that and having a little one to look after as well I know all about that but I am lucky have been feeling really great since then. Hope all is going well with you and bubs.
I think I got everyone so sorry if I missed you I will try not to leave it so long next time.

:sleeping:Poor tired thing liviesmum. I don't know whether the other gals have some advice. I have a nurse at our local private health clinic "settle Petal" (they have a sleep CD- on web) and I would ring them or visit them when I had problems with alexander. I know you are a very experienced mum so you probably know more than me but I wouldn't feel bad about asking for help if you think you need it. Is tresillian only based in Sydney or will they do phone consultations etc? Its hard for you too when you have so much to think about with Phoebe too. Do you think she would respond well to change i bedtime routine now or it make things worse..? :hugs:

I hope that you can find something that works. I wish I had advice. Maybe the wrapping.. I think she used to like that didn't she?.. I have some "settling" books if you think they would help... :ecomcity:
Enough from me i'm sure none of that helped!!!

Anyway Alexander has been off his food for the past couple of days.. maybe he is living off his reserves on his thighs.. anyhow he came down with a temp and has had a few :barf:today/tonight. I have bought some hydralyte icypoles in case.. but hope he's ok tomorrow as we have swimming and we have missed that last few lessons over easter.

I am feeling ok.. just tired. No sympathy vomits when alex was vomitting either!

Hope everyone else is going well. Thanks for everyones thoughts and well wishes. I am thinking its all going well and I actually have an appointment with my ob in two weeks time.. it makes it feel so real...!

Kewlchic- I think its a GIRL!

Hope everyone has a great night xx

Thanks Wild- I know soemthing is bound to work it is just finding it- but being a mum of 3 does not always make you wiser- dd1 was a good sleeper really, was great at occupying herself etc- but I was at uni when I had her and always reading and doing assignments so she just learnt to occupy herself I guess. It never hutrs ro seek out advice or help from others- sometimes just one person will have the magical solution.

Strawberry- Talon sounds like a good little boy, easy to manage!- how does he get on with the 2 older girls? Bridget loves playing with Olivia but if she is not in the mood or olivia has something she wants or Olivia is annoying her etc, she just screams at her or smacks her or pulls her hair- it is sort of funny, but it needs to stop aswell!

Anyways- going to go have a lie down- still not a great night last night, hoping it will get better soon!

Oh yeah don't have any problems with T1, he's in a real good routine. His sleeping on his bed as i'm typing. The good thing is I don't have to force him to go to bed. Its not always rosy at my house let me tell you. Tarni is still not in a good routine. She very unsettled during the afternoons/ evenings and she still doesn't sleep through the night. I only said to hubby the other day "I so wish i had another bub just like Talon"

Talon adores Emily. He's her little shadow but if she doesn' t want to play with him she won't and can be real nasty to him. The 2 older girls know how to tease him which i told them, i don't like. Kids will be kids.

I hope the nights gets better for you darl xx

Tabby, some great ebay buys!

:hugs: for Sammy & Wild for MS and tiredness.

Liviesmum, no advice here - just sympathy. Bridget sounds very much like Cameron but at least I only have him to worry about at the moment. The only way he'll go to sleep at bedtime and throughout the night without a fuss is at the breast. Not unlike putting him to bed with a bottle I guess except that I'm attached to it! Out of the blue he also seems to have given up sucking his thumb which was really his only comforter. So I'm very nervous about the lack of other tools to get him to sleep if I try to wean him off night feeds. Had been settling well on his own for his day nap but that's gone haywire lately with his cold/teething & visitors. Just gave in and fed him after he screamed blue murder about me daring to put him down awake. I should proably be tougher and just leave him to get over his tantrum but saving that for a last resort once all else has failed. One bit of advice that I need to probably follow myself is to look for the tired signs and put im down ASAP instead of stretching him out to when I think his nap time should be.

Kewlchic - I vote girl too. Are you actually going to let us in on the secret or surprise on the big day?

Stawberry - I hope my next bub is as good a sleeper as Talon. Cameron hasn't slept through regularly since he was about 4months. But we did have one night this week where he slept from 7pm to 7am with just one wake-up. Woohoo! A once off of course but I enjoyed it all the same.

Shoes - not sure if it's all stores but I got a good deal at a Mathers shoe store. Last seasons kids shoes were marked down 50% and then a second pair was half price again on top of that. So got 2 pairs for $30 instead of $80!

Cute photos!!! teehee... what swimming pool do you go to - is that Swan??

The idea of getting 2 little ones to go to sleep concurrently is very daunting to me - my hat goes off to you. All I can do is send supportive vibes to you.

kewlchic - BOY!

what shoe sizes are everyone on? Caitlin just fits into a 6 - i think she has ginormous feet considering her tiny size. maybe that means she'll be tall. She is wearing nothing but your kind donations now mouse!! soooo cute. my mum friends are amazed that she's never in the same clothes teehee

tabby - very cool purchases. DH got a $650 bonus this week! how COOL IS THAT!! So I might invest in a potty - be gold plated at that price.

I passed my nursery rhyme leadership training!! We are starting a group for 1-4 year olds in Langford if anyone's interested. (it's free - paid by the council). I know no one lives remotely close.

Also became the vice president of our playgroup - yikes! So far so good. I'm looking forward to going back one day to work next term. I told my mum about daycare and mum burst into tears and said what was the point of her being at home with nothing to do while caitlin was in child care. But they just bought a caravan on the weekend and i dont want her a) resenting me that she has to stay home and not go away and b) her going away and me not having anyone to care for Caitlin!! she insists they'll only go away in the school holidays.. but still... i'd still feel guilty. And we spent half a day at a daycare on tuesday and i was really impressed. I guess I'll wait til my parents have talked.

hoep you're all good!

We go the one at Ellenbrook. I think its called state swim. T1 really likes it. Oh for shoe size, T1 is into size 6 and 7 depends on what type they are.

Better run Talon has just walked out of his room and T2 is due for a feed.

Talk soon

Kewlchic...My votes on a boy
Liviesmum...:hugs: for your horrid sleeper. I'm thinking I might just pack mine up and post her to her Nanna for a while so I can get some sleep:laughing:.
Cordelia...Size 6 feet, wow! I've been putting size 5 on TJ and they are too big. I agree with you about having your mum look after C. If your mum's sick, wants to go away, or something else happens, then you're left with noone to look after C. If she really wants to look after C, you could put your name down for some relief and she could look after her if you get a day here and there. Relief would also help with the money no doubt.

I'm home again today. Got a call from daycare at 10, TJ had :barf: 3 times. Pick her up and she's all smiles. She's asleep now, so hopefully still happy when she wakes up.

Just got an offer from my former work for an 18 month contract. Have asked for more money and am waiting to hear back from them. If they agree I've then got the job of telling my agency and resigning tomorrow/Monday? :smiliedance:

Hi all, thanks for your :hugs: and words of encouragement.

Cat- I always knew I was creating a rod for my own back re: Bridgets sleep routines, but you do what you can to get by- so in re: to feeding Cameron at night- make the most of it and enjoy it as you still have te opportunity to do it!! i should have changed Bridgets habits well before Phoebe was born!!

Cordelia congrats on the nursery rhyme leadership training- uummm what is it- never heard of that before.

mousebrown- goodluck on the job offer, hope it works out for you.

Shoes- bought Bridget size 4 about 4 wks ago, but dont think she is far off a size 5 now.

better go catch the 5 oclock news-

MouseSorry to hear TJ not feeling to well hope its nothing serious for you guys. Not nice when they are like that.
CordeliaCongrads we went to some thing like that before Lachlan turned 1 I think that was the end of it cause of his age don't know how he would go now he can't sit still for to long. lol
CatSize shoes we have is a 4 and I am thinking that is getting to small to fast we got Lachlan a size 6 the other day Daddy wanted to buy Lachlan a pair of Jordin's so I made sure they were a bit bigger so he can wear them for a wee while as they were $65 DH loves runners as much as I love shoes I think.

Mouse: Thanks for the freddie update, was wondering where she had gotten to.
All the best for getting the extra $ and back to old job.

Strawberry: ah Talon looks ever so peaceful in his big bed! Just lovely.

Tried Katies shoes on tonight, she seems be maybe a 5 as her 6 are tad big but not overly. She has very broad feet like me and a high instep so need bigger ones to fit anyhow.
now to find some shoes for the wedding. I did buy some rose colored ballet shoes from ebay for her but they were a size 3 LOL that will teach me not to check first.
Anyone with baby girl want them? They are as new and just adorable with a pink ribbon tie and diamontes on the toe part. first in first gets. Pm me.

Just quick tonight, after 2 days off sick am back to work tomorrow, didnt really feel ready but boss called and work is over loaded. Feel a bit peeved about it actually. He didnt ring cos concerned of me just the work load. pppftt.
Had a flu with aching bones to the extent of tears and now its gone to my chest with a cough. Will go tomorrow but if get there and find am not ready ill head home regardless of work load.
Katie had me up from 10pm - 2 am in teething pain as well, that didnt help me how I felt this morning :crying:

Oh we laybyed our rings last week too!

Me, im better than yesterday but still not so great..

I went today but got sent home by the boss's wife, she agreed I was too sick to be work and would only jeopardize the rest to getting it and they would be worse off than one person down, She said bugger what he thought..Can only imagine what he said but pppft to him.

nursery rhymes - yes, caitlin is everywhere in the room but still involved as we say/sing rhymes. she is starting to do actions, claps at the right time and dances all the time. It will be a while before she can stay in our circle but that's cool!! Last week she put everyone's shoe in a pile behind me and then this week she brought 25 cups over to me 1 by 1. (neatly stacked them of course!)

stateswim - we have one round the corner too! only reason i chose riverton riverplex is because it has holidays and I like the break!

Great that freddie is ok - haven't heard from her in ages!

mouse - great news about the job!! I bet you're counting down the days now.. sounds so boring. your mind just goes crazy when it's not being stimulated.

tabby -hope you're feeling better.

shoe sizes - i have decided that caitlin's feet aren't so big - it's just the brand of shoe i'm buying her. I put her feet up against some other babies today and they're pretty small :P

Do you guys get bad looks from older people when you're out and about and you're beloved child is not behaving the way that they would want?? Caitlin was running everywhere today when we had lunch after swimming and i was chasing her continually. Anyway she went through the automatic doors to the library and decided to come back but the doors went to close on her fingers but it stopped before they did. I was running after her this whole time. Anyway, this old lady went off at me!!! She clearly thought I was a neglectful and irresponsible mother. I'd liek to see her keep a 15 and a half month old sitting in one spot. I see older people rolling their eyes at noisy toddlers and making comments to each other all the time. I just want to ram my first through their.. never mind. so rude. they are seeing their own parenthood through rose coloured glasses.

What a spiel!! should go to bed.. just came home from scrapbookign and too hyped on coke and lollies to go to bed yet!

Hey everyone!

Tabby, rest up and hope your'e feeling better soon. Enjoy having your hair done!

Mouse, unreal news re job and glad TJ wasn't too sick once you picked her up.

Cordelia, GRUMPY OLD PEOPLE!!! Just ignore the rude sods unless they get in your face, then you tell them off!

Liviesmum, I'm sure as long as you remain consistent Bridget's nighttime routine will turn around. Easier said then done I know, the first few days/nights of any big change are always the worst.

Strawberry, sounds like you have two angels at your house - very jealous, DS1 is driving me to distraction lately with attitude.

Us, I'm still queasy, feeling ok right now so thought I'd do a quick post. 6.5weeks now, having an ultrasound to check all is ok on Tues week. Boys are either playing nicely or driving each other mental. Below are two of their nicer moments.

Cordelia...sod the people who frown at C. I always look at people like that and say "you're welcome to try if you want"
Kewlchic...I work in software development as a Test Engineer. Big title to say I test the software to ensure it does what it should and there are no problems with it.
Sammy...great photo's

Us...A shopping day today, taking DD1 to the doc's (Seem to live there at the moment) as she's got a rash on her bum. Has had it for a while and doesn't seem to be going. Looks like a wet day here in Perth. LOL, DH will have fun trying to amuse the girls inside all day.

Have a great day!
Lisa

hiyas,
Feeling a little better after a really crappy night, not from Katie just from this flu! Must have woken up 20 times.
Anyhow! cancelled my hair app till next week, its absolutely pouring rain here and no way was wasting $60 for a hair do to walk out in that humidity and rain to lose it within 20mins lol.
So next week it is!

Off to ice my fruit cake later ( test run )
If it turns out okay then will get a massive one made and ice and deco myself.

Going to go grab a nap with the Miss.
Back later for personals xxx

Oh and a quick question for you since you have two boys if you found out what the sexs were with your 2 boys and you told people what was there reaction only asking cause we have found out we are having another boy which we are both over the moon about not most are saying oh it would of been nice if you had of been having a little girl since you already have a boy or oh I wish it was a little girl just for you. I am like I am way happy it's a boy that is what we wanted.

CordeliaMmm that is prob how Lachlan would be if we went I was thinking about going again since you said that there is a older one but I just don't want to get into to much since it's getting closer to bub arriving don't want to over do it and find I can't do it once bub's is here. If you know what I mean. And I still have not done a scrapbook page yet but I have got all my stuff out on the table I do have to get more pic's tho.

Gee sorry about the long novel....might try and go to bed now and take some more rennies.

Just a quick reply as Josh is not settling himself ... grr!

Josh had a flu vaccination last year. He had it as part of his 6 month vaccinations. He will be having another one this year, probably earlier though (babies can't have it before 6 months I think).

mmm ... all is quiet ... maybe he is self settling!

Had a great night last night- I went into town yesterday and bought a CD palyer for Bridgets room- it was suggested by the MIL to play soft background music and that may help dull any sounds made by Phoebe or myself at night which seems to be waking her. Well I did and coincidence or not- it seemed to work:smiliedance: All night in her own bed!!!!:fingerscrossed: this continues- wish me luck!!

Kewlchic- congrats on the boy- I thought it might be!:smiliedance:

Mouse- congrats on the new job:yelclap:

Better go- housework to be done!

hi all,
sorry it really has been a while since i have written in here, still trying to catch up on reading all the posts....

well, it seems that I cannot keep a baby till full term!!!

My little darling girl, Imogen Mary was born by c-section on 25 March at 34 weeks and 1 day old. she was in special care nursery for a few days, but then came up with me on the ward, where everyone could not believe it!!
luckily she didn't need any oxygen to breathe, she has an IV drip in and was in an isolette for her temp and also had phototherapy for jaundice, but we came home together, I was so pleased!

she is a an angel baby, wakes and has a feed every 4-5 hours and goes back to sleep, I am breastfeeding, she fed rigth from the beginning, whch was fantastic...

anyway, I will catch up in the next few days with all the news and personals...

Hey everyone

Hope everyone is going ok!

Tabby - hope you are feeling better now! Pity about the hair appt today but am glad you could get in next weekend!

Mouse - congratulations about the job!

Cordelia - I would just ignore those oldies too! I always seem to think of some witty retort once I get home!

Sammy - hope the m/s gets better really soon! Oh and your boys are so cute - just want to pinch there cheeks!

kewlchic - Congrats on the BOY!!! I want another boy but have a feeling I'm having a girl. When I told mum that I wanted another boy she was shocked and said but what about having a girl etc etc!

mim1 - different places must have different opinions about the flu vac as I asked about it last year for Cooper and was told no. So does this mean he can have it this year?

liviesmum - I hope Bridgets great sleep keeps on keeping on for you! Hope everything is falling into place and you keep on getting good sleep ins!

Us - I have a cold again - grrr! Had our 16wk scan last Thursday to check for heart defects and so far we have the all clear! They will check again at the 20wk scan on the 24/4 so hopefully all still good then and we might have a healthy bub by VBAC this time! Have been spending heaps of time on Facebook as my 10yr reunion is being organised - eek 10 yrs! And on top of all this we are thinking of selling our house and getting it removed off this land and then building from scratch! Anyone had any experience with this? Or are we just crazy?

Anyways must go,
Cheers, Shaz :-)
