Hi ladies,
I am here again to ask your advice i know i am such a worry wart but i just need to put my find at ease i have try to since yesterday but it very hard to after our last loss...
I went for our first U/S yesterday to check all is okay i have my date and the doctor's date's and i am meant to be 8weeks at the U/s but the nurse at the U/S measured the baby at 6wks and yes there was a heartbeat and was good and normal for a 6wk development..
I am just wanting some answer's to why there would be such a big grab in the dates..
I go back to the doctor's on Wednesday for the full result.
I have a regular AF of 28day every month and we onlt Bding the one day around O and haven't since..
Any advice would be great...
Wendy
I wonder if bubs didn't implant until a little bit later.
How soon did baby show up on your pee test? by my dates nugget should be due 8 days earlier than what she is because she was measuring smaller than the dates.
I ask about the pee test because she showed up when I was about 1.5 weeks late :)

Wendy- im sure all will be ok, hopefully your ob can tell you a bit more. Im still puzzled over my dates aswell - being 8 days out, im looking foward to my 12 weeks scan in just over two weeks to put my mine at ease. Im sure as long as your still getting m/s and sore boobs (and big boobs) that all is ok, the wrost this is, is having to go thru another 2 weeks again:rolleyes: but as you have read from other ladies, that this does happen, but all will be fine:kiss:
It happened to me too.
I went for my nuchal scan when the doctor said I was 12 weeks. Got sent home because the scan said I was only 10 weeks.
Midwife went by the doctors dates and sent me for my morphology scan at 19 weeks. Got sent home because scan said I was 17 weeks 2 days.
Sigh.
The scan is right there for all to see. The doctor just goes on dates or on their little "wheel" thing. So I am going with the scan. My EDD has changed all over the place too.
It happens all the time.

When they measure your baby in an ultrasound, they 'decide' on how many weeks it is by it's size. The measurements are really just an average size and they have created the size from many many babies measurements- your bub might just be small. My twins measured at different weeks- and they were the same. Ultrasound is a not entirely an exact science. The sonographer needs only to make the slightest error and the sizing is completely wrong- so don't put too much trust in them. The good thing is that they have given you later dates- which means that if you decide to take that date as your EDD then you will be less likely to be pushed into induction.
If you want some more information about ultrasound let me know and I will forward you some info..
Yes, that is a VERY good point kadownie. Thats another reason why I am happy to go with the ultrasound too. it gives me some leeway before they start waving their gel and scalpels around the place.

the U/S measured the baby at 6wks and yes there was a heartbeat and was good and normal for a 6wk development..
Could she have been speaking about 6 week gestation rather than 6 week pregnancy? It would make sense...
8 week pregnancy = 6 weeks gestation

Hi ladies,
Well i am off for another U/S on Monday as it has shown that bub's has a slightly slow heartbeat at 100BPM. I am so scared and just want Monday to hurry up...
My report was as followed..
Within the fundus of the uterus there is a single gestation sac containing a single foetal pole.
Cardiac activity at 100BPM was seen.
There is no evidence of sac separation.
I note that CRL ( Crown to rump ) is consistent with 6 weeks. The gestation sac is consistent with 7.5 weeks and the gestational age 8 weeks..
For this reason and the slightly slow heart beat i feel that a repreat study intwo weeks is recommended to confirm ongoing viability and to confirm the gestational age.
As you can image my hope's are a bit down at the moment i just keep thinking to myself not again please...
Kadowine- anything that might help explain the above finding would be great please.
Wendy:fingerscrossed:

I think all that the report is saying is that they want to check you and bubby out in a couple of weeks to make sure bubby is growing and the heartbeat has increased.
Have a look at this website- I found it interesting to read!

hope this helps.
Get lots of rest!
Hi Wendy,
I am keeping my fingers crossed for you and hope all is well.:fingerscrossed:
