Fabric help please!

Hi there,

I am new to this board -- came here looking for advice and ended up joining because the ladies here sound so cool!

Anyhooo... I am making my own cloth pads. :)

But I would like to first experiement with different fabric choices. Can anyone recommend fabrics they've had good results with? (Particularly as an inner layer).

I have made myself pads with flannellette, cotton fleece inner & pul... but would love to hear your opinion!

I should mention I would like to use fabrics with long term durability.

Hi there :) I have just made (and am using them now!) some with flannel on top, PUL on the bottom, and bamboo layers on the inside. They are sooooooooooooo comfy!

Thanks! I've just ordered some scrummy bamboo fleece and I can't wait to sew some up! Thinking of a velour topper too... yay!

Has anyone tried minky on the bottom layer? It's soooo soft.
