Hi Jac,
The recommended age for a pillow is 2 yrs. Both my 2 had them when they went into their own beds so they were nearly 2.

My DD got a single bed for her 1st birthday as she was trying to get out of the cot early (She is in the top 3%ile for height). We put all the couch cushions around the bed with her cot mattress at the end of the bed. We gave her a normal pillow then. Even though this isn't the recommended age she was ready. You will know when you feel comfortable.

I was advised by the midwives in hospital that not before 2yrs of age & to only get when one they are curious about them or ask why they havent got one.
That being said my nephew slept with one from 6mths on as he wouldnt sleep otherwise !
I think its really up to you as the mum to work out when its suitable so if you feel its time go for it !
