Been TTC #2 for 4 months and not Happening

Hi To All,

My Dh & I have been TTC # 2 for about 4 months now and it is not happening.:crying: I will be 37 in April and DH is in his 40's. DH said wait until June until DD is 2. As last time I fell pg with DD I went to the Gp DH had a sperm analysis which came back all clear. Instead of running tests for me decided to give me a referral to see an Gyn/Ob. I had to wait 6 weeks to see the Gyn/Ob and during the 6 week wait I fell pg with DD.

I have been trying Sylk last month and we BD 6 times. 3 times around O. Does anyone have any advice.

Hi Kimcam, most lubricants kill off sperm (even if just a small %), even though Sylk is one of the better ones, it still reduces the sperm qty's. The best lubricant to use if you can't rely on your own CM is Pre-seed.

Grapefruit juice and green tea can help with your CM if that is the reason you are using a lubricant.

The success rate for conceiving after 6 months in over 35's is around 25% (compared with 75% for a 25 year old) so try not to be disheartened that it hasn't happened after 4 months.

Its great that you have been able to concieve a daughter only 2 years ago, so i think its probably just a matter of time :yes:
