Children are my world and yet my arms are empty. In one way or another I have been involved with other people’s children all my life. I am a teacher working with disadvantaged kids and am step-mum to three gorgeous teenage girls, but I long to have a child of my own.

I met my soulmate later in life and we married in 2004 when I was 41. Since then we have tried several IVF cycles, the last of which gave us a long-awaited pregnancy, but sadly ended in miscarriage in Feb 2006. We still dream of bringing a new little person into the world and all the joy this would mean for us, but now need the help of a remarkable woman to reach our goal.

Does the joy of motherhood touch you so deeply that you want to give this priceless gift to another? If you are considering egg donation and want to be sure that the child conceived would be born into a home filled with love, laughter, creativity, big sisters and music, then perhaps we are a good match?

Honesty and openness are important to us and we believe in the child’s right to know its genetic history, so our donor will need to be comfortable with this too. Medical and out-of-pocket expenses will of course be covered, but no other payment is possible or legal. Our wonderful Dr is in Sydney, but if the right donor lives elsewhere, we will find a way. Well girls, I have to say I met this beautiful soul on the weekend and she is an absolute delight - women like our Babydreams here are what egg donation is all about, giving a chance to someone who really does appreciate both what a donor has to go through, and the enormity of the gift a donor gives.

Lovely R, was just wonderful getting to spend a little time with you, you are all sunshine and light and any babe that is fortunate to find him/herself in your arms is a very fortunate little bairn indeed. I have followed your journey from afar and every mountain you have climbed, you have come down sad but stronger and even more determined....this is your last mountain hey, hang in there.

Well, we have wonderful news!!!! :smiliedance: :smiliedance: :smiliedance:

I am thrilled to announce that we have found our beautiful egg-donor-angel who contacted us as a result of our ad here on Bubhub!!!!!

This gorgeous person has a newborn, so we won't be doing a cycle until the end of the year, but we are just bursting with gratitude and hope for the future. In fact I don't think I've stopped crying tears of joy since we met her last weekend.

Thank you to everyone who sent words of encouragement our way, they really did help to carry us through.

And to those of you still looking, never give up hope. Angels really do walk amongst us and you will find yours. :hugs:
