I have a newly turned 12mth old & its a case of he sleeps when he wants to & will not let mama organise anything !!!!!! LOL
Its so much fun isnt it
Some days he needs two sleeps but wont have even one then another day he will have the two then the next he will go down for one but only for 30mins wakes up grumpy then wont have the afternoon one !!!! Oh it can vary more than that also LOL.
Sorry im at a complete loss atm too & have given up on a routine he just does as he pleases & when i think its sleep time we "wind" down so we sit & talk or cuddle for a bit then i put him down in his cot sometimes it works & others im kidding myself. But its way easier than trying to "demand" a set way of doing things as he rebells even more so then !
Good luck its hard as they want to do so much now they hate missing anything !

My 13month old is still having up to 3 sleeps a day. i know, its obscene. AND he sleeps all night. A big sleepaholic, just like his dad. But in saying that, HE rules the roost...he sleeps when he wants to sleep and I just help out by noticing when he's tired and delivering him to the cot where he conks out rather quickly (most of the time).

But in the interests of information his naps USUALLY are

7.30am-9am
11am-12.30pm
3-4.30pm

VERY flexible in length there, sometimes it might only be half an hour instead of an hour and a half. but the times are usually fairly static, some days he sleeps much much less also. At night he sleeps roughly 6-6.

Mine are only 11 months but they sleep from 9.30 to 11.30 and then 1.30 to 3.30 then at night 6.30pm to 5.30/6am
Not really working too well ATM as they have a cold so Im up a few times to resettle in the night but usuallly they are really good.
Good luck!

Our litttle guys are just one day apart!!

DS now has a pretty good routine - this is pure luck as he just fell into it all by himself. Overnight he sleeps from about 6/6.30 usually till 5/5.30 or 6 if I'm lucky. However he rarely sleeps solidly through. Most nights he will wake up from 1-4 time for a quick cuddle or a drink and goes straight back to sleep. Thankfully this usually all happens before we go to bed - usually!!
During the day he has two sleeps of 1-1.5 hrs, generally at teh longer end rather tahn the shorter end - yay!!In the morning 2hrs up is generally his limit so he's down somewhere around 7.30/8. His arvo sleep is usually around 1-2pm though that can vary depending on what we do during the day. Somedays he will crash out around 12/12.30, but then he is a grump in the arvo as it is just too long for him to last.

btw, it hasn't always been this easy!! Up until maybe a couple of months ago I really never knew whether I was arthur or martha with his sleeps. Now I'm just waiting for him to drop one!

My Ds sleeps from 9.30am-10-30am, then 2.30-3.30/4. He goes to bed at night around 7.30, usually wakes anywhere from 1-6 times a night then wakes around 7 in the morning. He's great with the day sleeps but a different story with the night sleep!

My DS is 13 months and I do stick to a tight routine that works well for us.

Sleep - 9am - 10:30am

Sleep - 2:30pm - 4:00pm

Sleep - 7:30pm - 6/6:30am

He goes to sleep on his own and 99% of the time stays alseep. Every child is different, but for us, I believe that the strict schedule I keep is why he is such a good sleeper. This does mean I can only go out between 10:30 & 2:30 (unless I take travel cot), but it is well worth it to have those hours to myself during the day and with DH at night.

Good luck with your routine. :)

my name is Kate and my little one is Lily and she is13 months.
i follow quite a good routine and it seems to work for me. Lily wakes in the morning at about 7am i have just cut out one of her sleeps during the day and i find that taking her out in the morning or even staying at home doing active stuff tends to make her forget about that morning sleep then she has lunch at about 11.30 then she is in bed by 12 to 2 then we have an afternoon snack then she is in bed by 6.30 or 7 every night. i think because i have worked in child care i really follow a strict routine and Lily has seem to adapt to it quite well and i know everyone is different but its worth a try
Love Kate Lily's mummy:) :)

hi mumtojo. spencer is 14 months old and is pretty regular with his day sleeps. he wakes up between 6-6.30am and then goes down for a morning nap between 9-9.30am for about an hour, sometimes an hour and a half. his afternoon sleep is usually between 2-2.30pm and is for an hour. he is then ready for bed between 6.30-7pm. i watch for his tired signs and then whip him off to bed. i also give him a snack about an hour before each nap and change his nappy then he's nice and full, and fairly dry by the time he goes down for a nap.
