Morning Ladies...

I was just wondering if you could give me a little insight into what you do with your almost 11 month old... Apart from play group swimming etc - what do you do at home.. or can you recommend any cheap activities?? We do the library reading, swimming (sometimes) and playgroup.

Hunter is a very clever little boy and is not satisfied with baby games any more IYKWIM so any help would be very much appreciated :goodvibes:

Thank you :hugs:

DH bought a chalkboard for DD at around that age. Big sidewalk chalks are good, you just have to watch them - apparently chalk tastes good.

DD started looking at her cloth books by herself at around that age, especially the ones with 'bits' on each page, like textures, mirrors and flaps to play with.

Put the baby bath outside on a warm day. Find a park that still has green grass and go exploring on hands & knees - lots of textures to explore. Roll him gently down a hill.

There is also this list of suggestions from the BubHub info directory: Games to play with babies and toddlers (http://www.bubhub.com.au/infoactivities.php). It was prepared with assistance from Playgroup Australia.

my kids love bubbles you can buy bubble machines from bigw for about $10-$15 dollars that run on batteries and you make up the mixture and it just goes and goes and goes, have you though of a little sandpit do you have enough room for one? we have one in a clam pool that way you can close it, playdough or if you want to get nice and messy make up goop or cornflour paint and let him go wild.......

PS you can also make instruments and let him play rice in an old softdrink bottle and drum on an old can etc if you go to playgroup why not source out the local toy library for new toys aswell
