Period while bf

OMG is this normal ? i have been breastfeeding for a yr now & haven't had my period since giving birth but today i have a lil blood sorry TMI but i just need to know if this is normal :o
i have been getting pains that seem like period pains :(

I got mine after 6.5 weeks after giving birth. Apparently not very normal, but hey when have i ever been normal????:eek: Have you reduced your no. of feeds lately? This can affect it, i have read. Take extra care of yourself cause it really mucks up your supply - i lost all my milk and had to wean at 12 weeks :( . Don't be surprised if bub is 'off' you a bit too cause apparently your milk tastes different when you are menstruating...

Hi,
My period didnt return for 18 months but other girls I know got theirs with in 6 weeks. It just depends on your body, I didnt experience any obvious change in feeding patterns when my periods returned.

I do know that it is possible you may get a little spotting here and there with out the return of your regular cycle.

My bub is nearly 12 months and i haven't got mine back yet either. I'm just enjoying it while it lasts! I'm hoping that i get them back in the next few months though, so that we can start trying for round 2!

With DD1 I didn't have a period - got pregnant at 11 months, then with DD2 I had my first period at 13 months after she was born.

I don't mean to scare you or anything, but you're not pregnant are you? Cos i was getting period like pains and spotting when i got preg. :confused:
