Can any of you lovely mummies recommend any great nappies? My son is in infant nappies now and he is in 6-8 kilo range. I've been using Huggies infant which I like but for some reason they are soooooooooooo hard to find!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can never find them in boxes, only the packets and I run out all the time. Safeway had Huggies on special this week in the boxes and do you think I could find infant ones, no!! I checked the other supermarkets, even Big W, and no infant boxes anywhere!! It's driving me nuts, so if anyone can recommend another brand for me that would be great. Also, am I the only one who finds/found infant nappies (huggies) hard to find?

Thanx!!

Howdy!
They always have the Huggies available where I am so that isn't a problem. We don't use them though, we find the Woolworth's (I think it's Safeway where you guys are) brand 'Select' are FANTASTIC! They are easier to put on than the Huggies and a little cheaper too!

Huggies don't make infant boxes as it is an inbetween size....ie you quickly move up to crawlers hence why you probably wouldn't need a box.

Hey, we were finding the same thing and I think what has happended  is they have stopped making the INFANT boys nappies, because we could only ever get them in the bag and only at BIGW. We have just been using the boy crawlers (6-11kgs) which are good but recently we switched to Babylove and they are just as good, if not better than the Huggies ones. I used to get a lot of leaking crystals with the huggies, but not at all with Babyloe (plus they are half the price!).

Good luck in your nappy hunt!

I found Huggies and Snugglers were terrible for leaking and Babylove left gel bits everywhere.

The best nappies I've used are Aldi Mamia brand. They are a little higher in the waist, so it's great for little boys.

And they're only $16 for a pack of 54.

I could never find the infant size girls huggies...so it's not just the boys ones...maybe there's just alot of bubs in that size.

I usually use Bebes or the Woolworths Homebrand ones...the weight ranges for those 2 are the same, but the actual nappies are slightly different, so atm we are using Bebes but when DD gains another few kgs then we'll probably need the homebrand ones again...Both of these ones are as soft as huggies and we have never had a problem with leaking or crsytals. The Homebrand ones come in a huge pack for around $20...I haven't seen the Bebes one in a big pack, but haven't really looked either coz we only use them to go out and use cloth the rest of the time.
I was using the Homebrand ones for my DS before he was fully toilet trained, the nappy would be so full it would sag down to his knees and we still never had any leaks, etc...

I would love to use cloth nappies but when you have to change as many runny poos a day as I do you need a fortune to even START to use them .... much more than a box of nappies.

I too have difficulty finding infant boys Huggies nappies and am getting very frustrated at trying to squeeze him into newborn size or having the nappies up under his chin (figuratively speaking).

also has anyone been able to find snugglers small????????

I found with DD it was hard to get the Huggies infant in the box. We ended up buying one of those big plastic tubs with handles and lids and anytime we saw them on special we stocked up even if they were in the packet. We did manage to get them through a home delivery service for a while there but I heard that Huggies make another nappy starting with "E" not sure of the name but Huggies make them as a cheaper version and the people that have used both said there was no difference. Maybe the website might help.
