hi i was wanting to try wool at night particularly when the weather cools down. I currently use BBH with PUL cover.
Where do i get some from? and how do i take care of them? are the long or short ones the best?
my dd is 7mths old and weighs 8.3kg and breastfed if that makes any difference
thanks

Plenty of online stores sell wool covers... do a search for soakers or longies and then shop around for the best price and the design/colour that you like. A good seller will also have approximate sizes so you can figure out what the best size for your bub will be. Put your BBH on first, then measure her up around the waist, legs and rise (from belly button to back) to give you the best idea of the size of wool cover you require.
Whether you get short or long depends on where you live. I live in Far North Queensland, so there's no way I'll ever put my DD in longies because it's never cold enough here! She wears shorties quite comfortably all year round.

You can actually get a BB's wool cover that are machine washable etc. Have a looksie on their website.

Otherwise there are loads of places to buy woolies ... Try places like The Wee Wuns, Darlings Down Under & Ozebaby but there are loads more.

There are also a few mums who can knit on here so if you can make up something or even have something you are willing to swap for their hard work you could try that !

Longies are better for winter in a colder climate being that they can just then be worn as the pants for bubs. Otherwise you can get shorties for the warmer climates or for summer & again team with a top or singlet & off you go ! You can also get a 'soaker' which can go underneath clothing so basically like using a cover. Its really a matter of what you prefer & what you are after.

I love my longies & shorties so love to proudly display them.

You can get commercially made wool covers or hand knit soakers (as well as shorties and longies)

Wool covers are great for nights. You need to lanolise them and just air them out. Wash them when they are soiled. Re lanolise as needed (around 4-6 weeks)

Check out the bubhub directory... there are lots of lovely nappy shops listed that sell woollies :)
