Hello,
I've just moved to Wahroonga and would love to hear from other local mums. I'm trying to get to know the area and find playgroups etc to go to. I have little boy who is almost 15mths old and we'd love some company.

We've just moved to Wahroonga and I am in a similar situation to you (although by now you might have sussed it all out!!). I'm 30 weeks pregnant and looking to connect with other local mums ... are there any good group-gatherings?

I am very close by...
Ther is a great playgroup at the San hospital..just next door but heaps of others around too..pymble, turramurra..
The park across from the station has a cute playground and lots of mums are always about.

... I'll have a look into those suggestions. I already know the park you mean - but only because of the cafe opposite !
Am starting our pre-natal classes tonight - so am sure there will be lots more info and people to meet in a similar situation.
I'd just like to feel part of the community - which is hard as we live in quite an "older generation" area !

yeah wahroonga can be hard because of that!
what hospital are you going to?
maybe you could mention to the midwives that it might be nice to arrange a morning tea for expectant mums? You woudl probably find a few inthe same boat!
I am also moving to the north shore and am looking for a playgroup to meet other mums and bubs. I have a 12 month old son who needs playmates!!!
Hear, hear! I live in Lindfield - full of retirement homes! I actually work at the SAN, and am 20 weeks preggers with my first bub. Would love to catch up if anyone's interested. :)

We wanted something for our younger child too - so we're just setting up a playgroup based at St. John's Uniting Church (next to the park in Wahroonga, opposite the cafe) - Fridays at 9:30, http://stjohnswahroonga.org/playjays
