Hi

I was wondering how long it takes babys to crawl from rocking on all fours to crawling?

DD has been rocking on all fours for about a week, I just wondering if she'll crawl soon so i can get some barriers to put on door ways.

Hi There!!

My DS rocked on his all fours for a month or so, but then my neice only did it for a few days before she figured it out.

It wouldn't hurt for you to put them up now if you are going to have them. It helps you get used to opening and closing them properly before they are needed.

My bub started rocking at 5 mths, and at 6mths started crawling. She kept trying til she got it and now there's no stopping her!

Lucas has been rocking for about 6 weeks its getting more frequent now and he doesnt rock as much but just gets up on all fours and looks like hes trying to work out what his hands and legs should be doing. hopefully not much longer

Yeah, it could ake a few weeks, but every bub is different:) There's probably no hurry to put those gates up yet as when they start crawling its not awfully fast at first, so dont panic. The advantage I could see with putting them up now is so that you can get used to them being there and so can bubs:)

My DD2 rocked for about 2-3 weeks and then vamoosh...she was off :thumbsup:

Was probably a good month & a bit because he preferred his commando crawl LOL was easier i suppose heh.
Im with Ffrenchie on getting up the baby gates asap because then youre all used to them but also they dont go very fast to begin with so when your ready is fine !
Mind you ours have been up for a few months now & i stacked it over one the other day & broke my toe OUCH ! LOL ! So yeah when your ready is better :p

DS rocked for about 3mths!!!!! He started moving backwards and in circles at 5mths, I think it was 6mths when he started rocking, but didn't start crawling until 9.5mths!
