View Full Version : Whats a good area?
We want to move in the next 3 months but we don’t know where to go. I am wanting to stay on the North side of Brisbane, closer to family, but I don’t know where to start looking.
We want 2 things from this new area. One: I would like to settle close to city (20 mins top by train). And the most important, Two: I would like to move to an area where there is a good school, prviate or public I don’t mind. Do you have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance
Kaylene
Hi kaylene
I live in Nundah, about 15 min from the City by Bus and Train, also 10min walking distance to Toombul shopping Centre and 5min away from Chermside Shopping centre by Car (10 min by bus).
I live across the Nundah State School (public) - which has a good reputation and next to the Corpus Christie Girls College (private).
Also, there are a few dycare centres, also with good reputation.
If you need more info or popp by for a coffee and suss out the area, pm me:thumbsup:
Cheers
Belinda

Im at Aspley and the crime here is getting worse...:banghead:

Ive PM you
I love Ashgrove, The Gap areas. They are great family areas however, it depends on how much you can afford. They are on the busline but not the train. There are plenty of lovely schools there - especiallt at The Gap, you cant go wrong:)
More on the trainline would be Newmarket, Alderley and Enogerra...not quite so expensive (but creeping up there all the same.) They are lovely suburbs and, again , the schools are lovely and there are plenty of them.
Anthing that close to the city is creeping up in price so it depends what you can pay. Good luck with your hunt!
Hi Kaylene
What about Clayfield (little precincts like Kalinga, Wolloowin, Eagle Junction) or Hendra, Nundah. They would all be within 15 min on the train. I've heard great stuff about EJ primary school, Clayfield College and there are at least 2 other private schools close by.
Cheers
