I am really annoyed that I am going to be without my pram for 10 days. I have 3,2,and 11 and a half month old and my pram with jogger seat is only 8 months old and is falling apart. The manufacturer will only repair it not give a refund. It has already been fixed once and I just think it is a poor quality pram. According to consumer affairs they are allowed to repair it. It will be nearly impossible for me to go out alone with the kids without my pram.
Hi Caroline,
Sorry to hear about your pram :(
What brand is it? Just so the rest of us dont make the same mistake.
Cheers!

My pram is a babylove pioneer jogger 2 with toddler seat. The toddler seat has ripped twice. The wheels come off and now I have gone to put bub in it a couple of times and the back has come out of the little slots (not sure what they are called) that adjust the seat from sitting, lying down etc. That is a real pain because it is not easy to put back in. I have been told babylove only do what is required by law. Not much into keeping customers happy from what I can see.
Wow that is so lucky! i was looking at buying a baby love jogger yesterday!!! I liked the idea that you could attach the capsule to it. Now that i have heard this i think i might keep looking!! Thanks! :)
I have a Phil and Ted's jogger pram with the toddler seat and we have had two problems with it - first the back axles got bent - not sure how but possibly on a plane, and now part of the support for the main seat has worn through. The first time I took the pram to the shop I bought it from (Kiddies Corner at Coorparoo) and they fixed it on the spot - for free, and the second time I took it in they said they will order me in a new seat, again at no charge, and I can keep the pram in the meantime as it is still usable. That is what I call great customer service!
Hi draught,
Sounds like you have found a place that offers really good service! Congratualtions.
I dont suppose u can attach a baby capsule to the phil and teds pram? I really liked this feature :(
I didn't attach a capsule but have just checked their website and if you look at the buggy accessories page they have the gear to allow you to do this. The website is www.philandteds.com - I swear I should get commission for the number of times I have recommended it!! The other pram which I like, actually more than phil and teds is the mountain buggy (www.mountainbuggy.com) but they don't have the capsule attachment feature.
Hi Draught,
You may have already seen my other post but just in case i will explain. I was just talking to my cosin in WA and she has a Phil and Ted's e3. She said she has no problem fitting down normal sized register aisles! But now i am wondering if the shopping aisles are wider in WA?!?!????
I think i am leaning towards the Phil and Ted's now! thanks so much for your help :)
Cheers!
I think we were posting to each other at the same time - I have answered your thread while you were asking the question. :p
Hi Caroline,
I had a few problems with the first pram I had, I took it back to Target, where I bought it, and they told me they had to send it for repairs. I let them send it, went without a pram for 2 weeks, and when I got it back within a week I had the same problem. I rang comsumer affairs/fair trading, can't remember which, and they said that if you have given them a chance to fix the problem and it has recurred then you are within your rights to ask for a refund. They also said the store is within their rights to only give you a store credit.
I guess it depends on where you bought the pram as to whether they are willing to do that, or if they will try to scare you into continuing to have a pram that is obviously poorly made, repaired.
Call fair trading again and explain in detail the problem and what the store has told you, they might have some other way of helping you to solve this problem. Also, make a note of who at fair trading you speak to and when, and what they have said/suggested.
Good luck, hope you get this sorted out quickly :)
Hi there!
Sorry to hear about your pram. What a pain. I hope that you have managed to get it sorted out.
Actually, the Mountain Buggy as mentioned on another post actually won the Choice (the Australian Consumer watchdogs) Jogger Tests and was one of the outright winners by a mile for everything including baby safety and durability etc. The other major brand Joggers, including the famous Phil & Ted's scored miserably and 4 out of the Joggers trialled did not even meet Australian Safety Standards and were likely to put a baby at risk, 4 barely passed and only 2 including The Mountain Buggy (The other was the Swallow I think) passed ALL areas and tests.
Might be worth a look if you decide to buy another if you get your money back.
