Petrol......

Well being the retardo that i am,when i was filling up the car today i managed to splash petrol ALL OVER ME!!!Had to race home and get changed!!i put my top throught the wash with a couple of towels and they all still stink of petrol!!!:barf:
what do i do to get rid of the smell????????i swear im gonna get high from the fumes,its so gross!!!please help!!:mad:

hmmmm I would maybe put vinegar in with the rinse cycle? Or soak the affected items in napisan or some other kind of oxygen bleach. Or even soak them in water with bi-carb soda in it. :thumbsup: Good luck!!

Yep, soak in vinegar, or sprinkle on bicarb and leave for a while. Yuck how smelly!!:barf:

to be honest with you. i would just bin the top with the towel altogether.

at least you have washed them so it is not overly highly-flammable should it be ended somewhere near hazardous zone.

Have you checked your washing machine? You might find the fumes stay in there for a while. :o

I did the same thing a few weeks ago:o but i splashed all over my favourite jeans and on the bottom of my top. I just washed them as usual with my regualr washing powder and fab softener a few times by themselves and let them dry in the sun. I had to do that a few times before the smell came out though. Vinegar is a good suggestion too!!!
