Hello All,

I wasn't sure which section to post this in, but figured I would get the most response from here. I am thinking of investing in some longies for winter for DD, however, my question is for those who co-sleep and use cloth. Have you used shorties or longies while co-sleeping? Does bub get too hot at all?

It has cooled down in Melbourne and DD has been wearing long sleeve shirt and PJ pants to bed. That has been fine sleeping with me but am curious what she would be like with longies on, if it would be overkill.

They will be fine !

The fantastical wonders of wool mean that they will cool her down if necessary !

Just make sure that to begin with you maybe start with a tshirt & light blanket then see how you go.

I find Master G still has a sheet & a blanket on while he is wearing shorties with a tshirt. He still snuggles in lol.

:iagree: We co-sleep every night, with woolies every night, even in summer :)

Yup, we have been using PUL lately but once my woollies get unpacked we'll be back to using them every night.

You could always just put shorties or a soaker on, if you are really worried that he'll be too hot. But honestly he'll be fine, snug as a bug in a rug :D

We co-sleep with our DD, who in no way likes to be restricted, ie loves to have her legs free & HATES any covers or sheets over her, seemingly no matter how cold it is ; so i really love longies when it starts to get cooler for the simple reason if they wriggle out from under a blanket they should still stay warm (& not too hot either if they are tucked in like the others said ).

We have been using just a soaker, but will definatley be changing to longies for winter, especially as bub kicks the covers off anyway.

Mmmm...well I am convinced ladies. I am looking at some rainbow longies from Kozy Designs in the states, through eBay. Gorgeous. Not sure of any ozy made ones. Unfortunately I do not knit or know a knitter. Does anyone know of someone in Oz who makes them?

phineas, do you know the link to that site? Googled it but could not find. Found babycouture.com.au but it sold shoes.

We co-sleep and use longies, shorties and wool wraps at night. Never had a problem with overheating.
