I'm devastated! :crying: Iwant to live in Perth and go to this. If anyone has any info on this type of workshop in Melbourne/VIC I'd love to know about it.

I *think* they are going to have them in the other states. I'll keep you posted.
Hey Sal... Good news! Melbourne is planning several Real Nappy Week events, and one of them is a nappy sewing workshop!
Have a look at the events page at Real Nappy Week Down Under (http://www.modernclothnappies.org). You should see the list of Melb. events to date, and a contact for the sewing workshop. I'm sure he would love to hear from you! Keep an eye on the website, as events will be updated as the week draws near!
Feel free to pm or email me if you have any questions vic@modernclothnappies.org

Sal, I should say, places will be limited to about a dozen, so you're lucky to be getting in early! If there is enough demand, we may put on another one.
Hi, I am just wondering if there is a workshop in Brisbane? I would be very interested:yelclap:

Just bumping this for all the Perth ladies.... :D We are running two sessions, morning and arvo, its free, should be a good day...
There are workshops planned for Brisbane, Perth, Sydney, Adelaide & Melbourne.
If you want to find out more about them, pop over to the Real Nappy Week website:
www.modernclothnappies.org and have a look at the events page. Scroll down to your state and there should be details listed there. If there is no sewing workshop, you can contact your State co-ordinator to ask if there is going to be one by emailing (state) @modernclothnappies.org (eg, for Victoria it is vic@modernclothnappies.org)
There will also be nappycinos (like a mum's group where you can meet with other cloth users, see cloth, ask questions and have a coffee)
knittycinos - where you can learn/continue to knit wool nappy covers
information stalls and displays and other variations on these themes.
Hope to see you at one or more of the free events...!

For those of you in other states BOOK NOW these oportunities dont come up very often!
I just wanted to bump this up for anyone who hasn't booked in for the Brisbane, Perth or Melbourne sewing workshops:
Brisbane: Last chance to let Lesley know if you'd like to come along and learn some of the finer points of sewing nappies. We'll have quite a few of the Brisbane WAHMs there to give you tips. Along with a yummy morning tea and baby wrangling is available so you can sew uninterrupted. Please contact Lesley offlist at cherubskiss@gmail.com
For other event details: www.modernclothnappies.org (http://www.modernclothnappies.org)
Hope to see you there!
