View Full Version : Just when I thought it was over...
Okay, I am 17.3 weeks pregnant and before the weekend things were going well, my m/s was starting to go away and I even had days where there would be no vomitting. But since yesterday it's back again! I can't keep anything down. It's not as bad as it was in the first three months but it's still not good. Why is this happening? I am trying so hard to eat and get the nutrients I need, but it's like my body doesn't want a bar of it. I lost weight in the first tri and have started to put a little back on but I still weigh 1kg less than I did before I was preggers and I'm only a small person. I just don't know what to do, it's stressing me out. :crying:
Don't stress about your weight I always end up loosing at least 8kgs with morning sickness
This has happened to me to with DD1 m/s would come and go for my whole pregnancy, it is terrible !!!!! Just keep your fluids up as dehydration is not good for you at all. Have you spoken to your obs about it??? I took Zofran tablets this time and it was a lifesaver, it enabled me to get out of bed and function.
This time it seems to have been gone for a few weeks now although when I get tired I start to feel yuk again.
Rest up and drink lots of water, if you are worried go see your doctor or call your obstetrician
Take care :hugs:
I hate to tell you, but I'm due on friday and I lost brekkie again this morning!
My MS has hung on all through the pregnancy and I have lost weight too. I just made sure I took my vitamins and what little I was eating was good nutritious stuff not junk.
You'll be fine, and glad to be rid of the MS!
Being sick in pregancy is awful my heart goes out to you!:hugs:
I was sick every day 3 times a day till he was born and at times got very worried about my weight loss (any other time it would be great!)
I talked to my obs about it and he said that whilst I am ok (ie not passing out) the baby will take all he needs from me. I had to spend some time in hospital. Go with your instinct- if your worried tell your ob your concern.
Good news is after all this I have a very healthy boy! ( I would even go through it all again!)
Eat anything you can that makes you feel better- I had a thing for mashed potato. On the nights I could not keep anything down I had ice blocks. The 99% fruit juice ones were good as they helped me to keep the fluids down. Fluids fluids fluids! Soooo important.
Best of luck, let us know how you go!
