View Full Version : Hug-a-bub Carriers
Hi everyone, does anyone have a hug-a-bub baby carrier/sling and if so where did you get yours and how much did you pay? I can get one online as the closest place that has them is a two hour drive away but it will cost $99 plus GST($9.90) plus $9.50 postage so all up just under $120. Is this good or are they heaps cheaper in the shops? Thanks for your help.

PM ing you.
They are around the same price in the shops as it is to order online and pay the postage.
I paid $119 for mine from the shops, only because i was to impatient to wait.
I absolutely LOVE mine. At first they can seem a bit tricky but now its just like tying a shoe lace.
I had a traditional baby carrier ( i think it was kapoochi) with my first 2 but found as they got a lil older it really put pressure around my neck, but my hug-a-bub is still sooooooo comfy.
I highly recomend it
I bought mine all up was $120 haven't had my baby yet but my stuffed toy dog works wonders lol
Haha Devon_mouse,that'll be me.....bub has got a little tigger for when it makes its entrance and tigger has tested out the cot, changetable, bassinet, pram, car seat,swing,rocker.....you name it he has tried it. Hubby thinks i am nuts but oh well!! I just found one on ebay that is new and in the colour i want for a fair bit cheaper than that so i think i will get it. thanks for the advice.

I swear by my hug a bub. I have tried many carriers over the years and this one is the winner hands down. Speaking of hands, you actually get to use them while bub is in the carrier-no other one I've tried lets you do this comfortably. When bub is asleep you just tuck part of their head in and they are secured.
I bought mine 2nd hand on Ebay and got it for $65.00. I had HUGABUB in my saved searches for months and watched them all until I finally got one. Others have gone for less, lots for more. You just have to be on to it.

I was going to make my own, it wouldn't be as nice as the pretty hug a bub 's but it'll do. I already have a sling and can't afford to buy all these different types of carriers but I really enjoy holding my baby.
Can anyone tell me how wide their hug-a-bub is at the front pouch?
Thanks

I paid $115 for mine at Baby Bunting.
It has been worth every cent, and that is coming from someone with a chronic back problem, and a large bub.
We have a houseguest from overseas, and have been touring. Even with a 7 seater car, we can't get pram, luggage and 6 people in the car, so the pram has not gone with us. DS has been in the hug-a-bub up and down ladders on paddle steamers, and walked about every tourist trap in the state in it. It has been fantastic.
I especially love it for shopping, though, and that is what I bought it for.
I can't easily measure the front pocket just now, as it is in the car. It's about 12 inches wide, and has a drawstring through the top of the pocket.
