Anyone used John Hunter in Newcastle?

I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience with JHH in Newcastle?

I am booked into the birthing centre there in July, but just wondering whether anyone has any stories, good or bad, re the Maternity services there in general???

Hi there

I had my first 2 children at JHH. I went through the Antenatal Clinic for my son born in 2001 and the Birth Centre for my daughter born in 2004. I found both sections excellent. Birth Centre was great.........never had to wait for appointments, midwives in both sections were wonderful.

If theres anything in particular you want to know, just post a reply.

I will be having my 3rd child in the Canberra Hospital Birth Centre so will be interested to see how it compares.

I have my first appointment with my assigned midwife, Barb, on Monday....

I had expected they would be great!
