Hi,
I am a SAHM to my DS who is 2 and 4 months and DD who is 3 months old...I am 34 going on 35 this month  yikes married and living in Sydney..

Currently discussing having another baby.
Always thought I would be happy with 2 but I just dont feel completed although with my age I will have to make my mind up soon. I would love another girl so my daugter could have a sister but would just be happy with a healthy baby. Only thing really putting me off is being pregnant with 2 littlies and the c section I have to have at the end....

I love being a SAHM although some days I feel like I am going mad. I dont have any family support close other than the inlaws so I find some days a bit tough but I find if I get out of the house a few days a week I handle things much more calmly. House always looks like a bomb though at the moment as as soon as my baby is sleeping I then have to turn my attention to a very active toddler..

We love playgroup, catching up with other mummy friends in the park or at soft play centres, shoping when I am brave and at home we love cooking, drawing and just playing together. Cant wait for the warm weather so I can spend more time outdoors with DD.

Ok Ive rambled enough. Whos next?????

I'm next,
Hi I'm Harry'smum or aka Karena (repeat after me "Hi Karena" :D ). I'm a SAHM to Harry who is 5 1/2 months. I had to go on Mat leave earlier than I wanted to due to health problems that the heat was causing me and I thought by nowI would be going stark raving mad...but I'm not. I love being at home with my li'l H man and don't want to go back to work next Jan. We go to mother's group and soon we will be starting swimming lessons. I want to continue this when I go back, thankfully I'm only going 3 days a week and my husband will be off work for one of those days. I love taking H to visit our friends who all have babies around Harry's age (there were 7 of us all due within 3 months of each other). I also love just being at home somedays with him. Letting him set the pace of the day and what he wants to do. I believe that babies need time to chill out at home and not become the over schedule child. I know one mother in my mother's group that has something on everyday except Friday for her child and the baby is only 7 months old. Poor child. Sorry I'm rambling. If anyone has any ideas about how to make my previous salary by staying home with my child, I'm all ears. Anyhoo time for someone else to share.

Hi Guys

I'm a SAHM with a 10mth baby girl. We've just bought a house ( myself and my dh-Troy) here in brisbane after having moved back up here from NSW. Before that, we were in Darwin (no, Troy isn't in military but does work in Aviation - hence the moving around). So, Georgia was born in Wagga at the Base Hospital which I can't say was too bad at all(apart from 33hrs of labour, then the C/S - but would do it a million times over to have my baby) :) . My mum lives here in Brissie but rest of the family are in Sydney, which is where I grew up, so minimal support as DH doesn't have contact with his family. I love being at home with my little angel and don't really miss work at all. I think I would if I had left a job that I loved but was only doing office/admin work so much rather be at home. Looking forward to trying to give Georgia a little sibling ( I would love another girl, dh wants a boy of course! There are only girls in my family, so I wouldn't know what to do with a little man  ) I'm looking forward to this summer so I can get G into a cute little swimsuit and get her used to the water and learn how to swim - she loves bath time, so figure she'll like the beach and a pool. Anyway, better go and have my bath and get ready for that sleep that I so look forward to

Okey dokey - my turn.

I'm 35 and we have a 5 1/2 month old girl. I'm a first time mum and like Karena, I have no desire to go back to work in January. If we can afford it I won't... we're still working on that. My DP is fully supportive of my decision which is great. My mum is in town with us but the rest of our families are in Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. Makes getting together for special occasions pretty hard, but we have huge get together planned this Christmas where my entire family - aunties, uncles, cousins, brothers, sisters, nieces & nephews, EVERYONE is coming and it's the first time the ENTIRE family has been together since 1975! Some of them have never even met before! Gosh... imagine how many bottles of champagne we're going to have to buy for Christmas lunch!

Here's an interesting thing about me - I went to see a clairvoyant in Sydney about 3 years ago and EVERYTHING he said has come true so far, including the fact that I would have a baby when I was 35 - Eloise was born a week before my 35th birthday. We weren't trying to get pregnant at all, I had previously been told I wouldn't be able to conceive easily because of PCOS, falling pregnant never even crossed our minds. So there you go - scary coincidence or messages from the other side... (cue scary twilight zone music... )...

Okay... NEXT!!

Hey girls,

My names Tracy an I'm 22 going on 23 this month  I am married (2 years on OCT 12) with an 8 month old baby boy named Joshua.

Joshua was very much planned. My hubby and I tried for nearly two years to concieve. I went through soooo many invasive tests to find out why things weren't happening. Then they finally decided to test hubby and guess what?!!! It was his little spermies all along..
Anyway, we got referred to an IVF professor, and after a few appiontments with him, I was told that my next visit would be keyhole surgery to put hubby's sperm into my fallopian tubes so they would have a huge chance of joining with my egg. I remember telling the prof that I was 6 days late for my period, but wasn't fussed about it because I was always a few days out every month. He said that he wanted to do a pregnancy test anyway just incase, so reluctantly I agreed (I'd get excited every time I was late only to do a test and be miserable when I saw it was negative)
Anyway, my hubby and I were sitting in the waiting room waiting for the results so we could go home and prepare ourselves for our important next visit. We were expecting it to be like every other time, but when he came out and held his hand out saying congratulations, you are pregnant, I just burst into tears!! My husband looked at me and said with tears in his eyes, "You're not supposed to cry!!" I was soooo happy, but I didn't believe what I was hearing. I made them show me that second pink line over and over again, and even asked if I could keep it!! I still have it!
So, in the end, my hubby and I did it all by ourselves, just in the nick of time! (thank goodness, we saved a bit of money!!) When I had my ultrasound, we asked what the sex of our baby was.... We were told that 95 % says it's a girl... NEVER BELIEVE IT!! We spent hundreds of dollars on pink clothes, decked the nursery out in pink everything etc. Joshua was an unexpexted but WONDERFUL surprise, and if I could turn back time, I wouldn't change him for the world.

I better stop there before I start sobbing! :p

Bye for now :)

Hi everyone,

I'm a 29 going on 30 year old SAHM (I can't believe I'm almost out of my 20s. I still feel like I've a schoolie) with a 4 1/2 month old daughter. We've just moved to Brissy from NSW following my hubby's career. If I was in NSW I'd be planning to return p/t to work in another month but now I'm here I haven't made too many plans. I'll need to go back eventually, don't want to live on a budget forever but love being at home with my daughter. If anyone can give me some work from hom eideas I'd love to hear them.

Our daughter was a blessing also - no accidents in our world! She's a real joy which makes me worried about a 2nd one because she's been so easy. We avoided finding out what sex she woul dbe because I wasn't much of a pink person - things change though especially when 95% of clothes are pink!

My family are mostly in NSW, my hubby's are all over the place which makes me a little isolated but will be looking forward to swimming lessons soon so that will be good.

That's enough for the moment, talk again soon, J. :)

Hi everyone! my name is Melanie first time mum to Lachlan almost 4 months.

I am on maternity leave due to go back in April 2005 - must do due to financial reasons! :(

Had a pretty straight forward pregnancy and birth - although almost a year to concieve and some tests etc...but eventually did it on our own!

We found out we were having a boy at about week 19. Hubby very excited - I did not care which sex as long as bub was healthy but now really enjoying our little boy!

Have had a rough start with Lachlan having reflux and hubby being diagnosed with cancer when Lachlan was 6 weeks old. :(

We are getting on top of things now and Lachlan getting fairly settled :)

Look forward to chatting with you all :)

Hi Guys
My name is Kerri-Ann, I'm Mum to Aidan (14 months) and am due again 8th March. Both our bubs were very much planned and wanted, and we adore being parents. We (me, hubby Steve and Aidan) live in Canberra, which is bloody cold and has no beach, but I'll survive ;)
I went back to work when Aidan was just over 7 months old, but only 3 days per week. I absolutely hated leaving him, but it had to be done. We have no family at all down here, and daycare is fast eating up my pay...I will be finishing work mid December this time, and won't be going back for about 5 years! I can't wait to finish work! I'm sure everyday at home with 2 littlies won't be all roses, but I'll love it :)

My hubby has his own buisiness, which will make it easier, but I don't think it's going to be quite as easy as he thinks! And we want to buy our own house before we lose my income...Should be fun ;)

Hi Ladies I guess its my turn,
I'm a pretty new mummy, Tys mummy aka Natalie, my baby boy Ty (obviously) is only 12 weeks old. My hubby (Aden) and I, live on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, we married in February and have been living in a granny flat at my in-laws place ) and are going to be moving into our own place on our 8 month anniversary (wonderful space all to ourselves what bliss!! :) Yay!) its starting to get a bit cramped with baby too! Anyway, Aden doesnt exect me to do anything work wise except nuture Ty and our planned children to come until at least Ty is in primary school, and even then he is planning on having his own business up and running so it'll probably be a work at home thing which is fine with me!
Sorry, I'm rambling on, so I'll sign off hope to chat with you all some time!

Hi guys

My name is karen and I am 35 and mum to Jack who is 4, Erin who is two and Thomas who is 3 months. We live in Sydney and both Hubby and I are from overseas, so not alot of family around apart from a sister of paul's but we do have a good support network through friends.

Its been a crazy few months as hubby has had to spend time in India with his job just before I had Thomas and again after he was born, so I feel things are just starting to settle down this last few weeks. I keep pretty busy with the kids and I also have a work from home business that I have been building over the last 20 months, its great I love it. I plan is to keep biuilding this to avoid taking on another job, so if it helps someone out there, there are other options. I did have a few jobs after each of my older two children but found the whole workforce thing too stressful and I like the idea of being self sufficent and planning my own dairy.

Look forward to chatting with you all

Cheers
karen :p

Hi my name is Nikki mother to 5 1/2 month old Jacelyn (ie. Jacqueline only spelt differently).

I'm loving my new motherly duties. Jac is so easy going it has been very easy to get into a routine. Although some days I feel as if I'm hopeless and don't know what I'm doing. I sit down with a cup of coffee and tell myself I'm being stupid and get on with my day. It helps my mum and In laws are around the corner so Jac gets to have a great relationship with both sets of grandparents and great grandmothers.

My partner and I would like to try for another child again in the new year but if it happens naturally before then we'll be pleased. Jacelyn was a surprise and unplanned but we wouldn't change a thing.

I've no plans to go back to work until Jac is at school. When the issue was discussed we have no-one who could take Jac because everyone works and my partner works odd hours, so when taking the cost of daycare into account and the money I could earn we opted for me to be permanently at home. Besides my partner wants to have a netball team and I'm pitching for a football time! LOL

Hi

My name is Melanie, I am 32 with two boys 2 yrs and 9months. We moved to Brisbane about 3 months ago, and I love the place!!! Our family is mostly in NZ.

Mostly I love being at home with them, some days after numerous wakings in the night (like last night) I find the mornings pretty hard work, but we get out and go for a walk and everything is put into perspective.

I am thinking of going for a casual job just doing something, but really only want to go on a Saturday or an evening where the kids have someone they know (my husband) , or minimal time with babysitter - the idea and costs of daycare or nannies is abit crazy. I'm also starting a tafe course from the open learning institute which should be good - my mind just needs something to keep it occupied. I think I want to do some casual work as I want to be somewhere that is just me as me, instead of me as Mum.

Off to cruise the streets in our stroller...... :)
