New To Townsville

Hey, we're a defence family that's just moved to Townsville and looking for a mums meet up/kids play date/playgroup or whatever to join?

Any suggestions?

I have only been here for just over 2 months.

There is meet on a monday and thursday, if you look in the NQ thread u should see them.

I am unable to go to these:hissy: as there the days i work but if you would like to catch up on a tuesday or wednesday i would love to.

Welcome to Townsville!!! There are a few different ge togethers during the week, we are also starting a weekend one so our partners can come along too....the details are in the weekend meet up thread, it is on next Sun, it would be great to meet you!!! Im expecting my first bub in April and have just starting meeting some mums and it has been great:)

Haven't tried it myself yet but there's 'geckoes' family centre at Lavarack Barracks. I think they run playgroup everyday but there are also other activities and you can also pop in any other time for a coffee or a chat.

Planning to check it out myself as soon as DH gets of his backside and arranges a spouse pass for me so I can avoid the whole ID verification at the front gate. Must harrass him again, we've been here a year now!

Hey Cat13, yeah it sux doesnt it..i made DH get my pass organised as soon as we got up here i too want to check out geckos but havent yet...:o

Hopefully if you feel up to it you and hubby can come along tomorrow afternoon to the meet...just a thought :) :)
