Jennifer Lopez gives birth to twins in New York

Singer Jennifer Lopez (http://au.music.yahoo.com/ar-292172---Jennifer-Lopez) has given birth to twins, according to People magazine, which has reportedly paid more than $US6 million ($A6.5 million) for the photo rights.
The boy and girl, delivered in a Long Island, New York hospital early Thursday, were the first for the 38-year-old actress and singer, whose efforts to become pregnant have filled tabloid pages in the past few years.

Her husband Marc Anthony, a 39-year-old salsa singer, has a daughter and two sons from two previous relationships.
Lopez did not confirm her much-rumoured pregnancy until early November, when she announced the news to a Miami audience while on a concert tour with her husband.
The trade publication Advertising Age reported earlier this week that People magazine was poised to pay the couple between $US4 million and $US6 million ($A4.3 million and $A6.5 million) for exclusive US rights to the first photos of the twins.
"Jennifer and Marc are delighted, thrilled and over the moon," Fields told People.
The singer's efforts to become pregnant have filled tabloid pages in the past few years and her pregnancy was one of pop music's most closely watched.

The birth time was a little after midnight so I can't imagine that would be a planned c-section! :smiliedance: and there was 11 minutes difference between the birth-times - which sounds about right for vaginal birthing of twins!! :D

BUT this is Hollywood so it wouldn't surprise me if she was getting a C-section for it to be scheduled in the middle of the night to avoid paparazzi.. Like put them off the scent yanno..:detective:

There are lots of celebs having twins.Brad and Ange apparantly had fertility treatment coz she was having probs getting preg coz she was too damn skinny!I think thats why so many celebs need fertilty help!:rolleyes:

Or maybe booked in earlier, but there were a few "emergencies" that needed attending to first, so hers was pushed back.

I do hope she had a VB - it would be great for a celeb to do that, considering surgery seems to be akin to changing your undies in lala land... I'm still very proud of Kate Winslet and her VBAC...:goodvibes:

J-Lo would be a great example that birthing twins naturally IS possible (for all those who don't believe it is).

I think it's amazing.

Here is a woman that is constantly in the limelight, meanwhile still doing so well regarding her career, she went through a few hard marriages, finally found the man. Constantly being hurried to have a baby by the media...

I think 38 was the right age for her. She's been blessed with two babies, what an honor.
I bet she is just stoked and saying to herself, ah, it was all worth it in the end.:D

Queenie as much as I hate proving you wrong...It looks like JLo actually gave birth via C-section and was booked in to have it done. HOwever, went into labour the day before and had an "emergency" c-section.
