which is safer for a baby room? Oil heaters or electric panel heaters?

I was thinking what type of heater would be better for a baby room? I haven't got ducted heating here, so need to use either an oil heater or an electric panel heater.

Which one is better according to your experience...? I ve heard that oil heaters carry a risk of explosion or sparkling..

How effective electric panels regarding the themostat and cost..?

We had an oil heater in the baby's room.

I am not sure what we will do now that our baby is a toddler in a big bed....
