BRISBANE Best Friend Rescue Charity Drive

Hi All,

We have a bit of a mission going on here in Bris at the moment.

A lady called Ally is trying to get enough food/blanket donations to fill her horse float to give to Best Friends Rescue (http://www.bestfriendsrescue.com/) by the 29th of March.

Best Friends is a NO KILL organisation that saves animals from being put down at the pound and houses them through foster families until they can be rehomed.

If anyone is based in Brisbane and could help out...put a flyer up at work for your own drive even...donate food/blankets etc.. that would be great.

I work in 8 Mile Plains and live Bris south if you need a drop off zone...

What a great intiiate. I wish I was closer as I would learn how to knit or go down all the op shops and buy blankets! I always have such a sad heart for the needless amounts of animals put down. Is there a connection to the same organisation in melbourne?

I am not sure about Vic but if you google animal rescue in Vic you would find masses of deserving places, otherwise Lort Smith Animal hospital I believe might do rehoming and they are an emergency 24hr hospital in Melbourne as well or could point you in the right direction
