It’s that time again! We are proud to announce Hunter registrations are open for the fourth semi-annual Great Down Under Nappy Hunt™!

How does the GDUNH work? It’s simple! You register HERE (http://www.diaperdecisions.com/pages/greatnappyhunt.php) now. Then you visit all the participating sponsor sites and hunt for the Diaper Decisions™ nappy, to earn entries to the 47 random prize drawings, including Three Grand Prizes! Prices are worth in excess of $4000.

You are searching for an icon of a nappy - it's pink this year and has March 08 written on it. They are hidden on the Sponsors sites - some easily, some not so easily. You find them, then click on them, and type in your email address and that registers your find. When you have enough, you go into the draw for prizes, the more you find, the bigger the prizes.

There are lots of people to help you through. And if you get stuck hunting, there is a hints forum, where you can ask for help.

You can't ask for help anywhere but the hints forum though.

They are not all hard to find.. and not all cloth is expensive :) If you look at some of the more workhorse type nappies, they are around $20-25 each... a full time stash of good nappies costs about $1000 (but can be done for less or more... mine was $800). Full time sposies until TT costs about $2500... so the savings are substatial, not to mention the environmental benifits... and the softness and cuteness factor!!

Are all the icons up from the begining, theres been a couple of websites i'm sure I have trawled through every page and found nothing. Have noted them and will go back another time for another lookie tho.

Are you clicking from the Sponsor list - they are an extreme site so are at the top of the list.

No they don't usually stay in the same place for the standard sites - though the extreme ones aren't usually moved.

The biggest reason for Sponsors to move their icons is because of cheats - people posting or pms direct links to icons.

I'm sure you don't suck - try the smaller sites first - ie those on OZeBaby - except Beetlebums which is an extreme site.

And check the hints forum in a couple of days, clues will start appearing there.

i have found 28 all up but none of them from the extreme sites. and i think it might be time for me to put my computer to bed now for the night.

can i suggest a tip for you novice nappy hunters.
allocate yourself 15 minutes at each site then if you haven't found the icon by then move on to the next site. come back later or another day to have another go at the ones you couldn't find within the time limit. that way you don't go nuts trying to figure out clues or make your eyes ache with staring at the same pages for so long. on the not extreme sites they will quite possibly move the icon after a few days so if you get really stuck just wait and visit the hints page at diaperdecisions.

I'm confused................One of hte places I am looking at only has a very small site, all of which I have completely navigated, no clues, no icon. But tehy do direct you to their store at ozebaby, but it comes up with no stock, so does taht mean there is no icon for that listing???

The icon should be on the website, as that is the site registered for the hunt. If you are convinced it's not there, please pm me or email us and we will check for you and let you know.

I'm also confused by the wording of the rules (eg the 'void' thing) and don't want to spend all that time hunting if it's not a legal competition. I can't find the lotteries registration number anywhere on the site, and no indication who oversees the prize draw.

You don't need to find 80 icons to be eligible for a prize. And it's not a lottery, because you have no entry fee. The prizes are randomly computer generated in the US. If you have concerns about any aspect feel free to contact us through the DD site, or pm through here. The hunt has been running for 4 hunts now, and I think you'll find all the winners have received their prizes with no issues here in Australia.

There is heaps with no clues, so you think that if you just go through the site there will be an icon but then there isn't. I have clicked everywhere possible on some sites and absolutely no luck finding one.

Bub has just fallen asleep in my bed while we were watching peter pan so I am going to go for a hunt now. :D

I'm a first time hunter and just want to say how much fun I'm having:yelclap:

I think a lot of the sites had tech problems the first few days, I know one appologised as apparently the item that the logo was on had been sold so had disappeared, and on one I was sure I had it..keep clicking on everything in the general area, and suddenly it appeared..no idea what I actually clicked on!!. so I think just the site was really busy and not coping.

Anyone else spending too much??

In my hunting I remember seeing a site with an Ergo on sale. Does anyone remember which one? Put DS in my friends new one for a try and it was amazing! DS is a big boy (95%tile for height and weight) and he loves hugs and cuddles, so I NEED one. Just got to convince DH! Ha ha!

I agree, Outrageous is hard if you are a regular, garden variety computer user.

talk about time consuming!!! I've found all you need to find to qualify for the grand prize... but for the life of me oculdn't find any extreme. It was my first hunt, so maybe I'm just not in the know of how things things are hidden. I have given up on them (about a week ago). i did the hunt for fun, and to see what awesome stuff was out there, i didnt win anything, and i dont care cos i had a ball....

yeah i'm like Becbabe- just assumed i'd get a prize of some description. thought finding them all i'd be more likely to win something, even if it was just a 2nd prize. I just assumed with all the hours put in i'd manage to get something.
I do know that the whole purpose is to find out what is out there, but i certainly wouldn't say that i had a ball doing it, there were so many frustrating times looking for that icon- i did find some nice products, but I easily could have spent the time looking around random sites anyway & found stuff that way (which i do).

I was lucky enough to be one of the winners in this hunt. I was a lovely surprise and I certainly was not expecting it! I had lots of fun searching for the icons, especially those that took a little achieving and I had the opportunity to be exposed to some products that i would never have had a look at otherwise. Not to mention grabbing some great bargains. IMO it's all about the fun...if you are finding it all too frustrating - then why would you bother.

just from the hint forums, It didn't seem as though there were THAT many people really hunting IYKWIM that's why i assumed i'd probably win... & no, i don't buy a raffle ticket or enter comps assuming I'd win something (cause i never do) I had just convinced myself that there weren't many people hunting.
