Sexy Lingerie underneath Wedding Dress???

I haven't yet got my underwear yet to go with my wedding dress, mainly because I'm not too sure what to get...

I don't need to wear a bra as the top of the dress is lace up and it sits really firm and nicely, also the dressmaker is putting in bra cups for me...so I guess I just need undies??? So, should it be something sexy still??? I just don't know what to get...:confused:

Any advise on what you wore on your wedding day would be greatly appreciated...

Go undie free ;) I did lol! Easier to go to the bathroom that way too as you didn't have to pull your undies down to your ankles whilst fighting to hold your dress up.

I'd say go with "comfortable" because your not going to be wanting to worry about your undies during your ceremony! There's plenty of time for a quick change later :yes:

I wore the most comfortable undies when I got married and I was so glad I did, nothing special to look at but no discomfort..
And I didn't wear a bra, I had a corset on so it kept everything "contained" haha

I wore brand new but plain comfy undies under my wedding dress and then changed into sexy underwear when we got back to the hotel room.

It was a very slinky bias cut silk sheath and I'm not a slender gal! :laughing:

I had suck'em in knickers and the best pushup bra I could get a hold of. Smoothed out all the lumps and bumps so the dress could hang properly!

I did cut the crotch out of the knickers to make the toileting a bit simpler....does that count?:D

I have not gotten married, but I have worn both nice undies and comfy undies all day long... and TBH, the more uncomfortable I am, the worse day I seem to have.

If you're wandering around with undies up your butt, you're not going to be thinking, "Wow, this is such a great day!" you're going to be thinking, "I wonder if I can pull these damn undies out of my bum without anyone noticing!"

I'd say go comfy, and easy enough to remove if you need to pee. It's hard enough peeing in a long formal dress, let alone a wedding dress (depending on the style of the skirt, the more difficult it would become I imagine).

You can always shove some sexy ones on secretly if you wanna surprise your partner.

i'd read that the chinese wear red on their wedding day for good luck.
so i wore a pair of bonds red boyshort knickers (not sure what they're called? they're kind of like tiny little shorts... um extremely tiny, you could never wear them as shorts... well i guess you could... if you were rather risque!)

anywho my mother was horrified i was wearing bonds red boyshorts under my "increadably feminine wedding dress... honestly susanna, what are you thinking?"

sooo anywho... i got absolutely tragically drunk at my wedding and then when it came to take of the garter i was so... eh hem, enthusiastic, that i lifted my dress all the way up and flashed my red little knickers at everyone...

oh dear... a sign of things to come for poor DH.

i had bra support built into my dress and i wore a nude coloured, seam free g, after the reception i then changed into my sexy white crotchless g and lacy bra, felt like i was clean and fresh, and not romping around in sweating underwear i had been wearing all day.

Don't make the same mistake I did, and buy $500 worth of gorgeous underwear to wear under my dress, only to find that you could see the outline of the undies when I had my dress on because the waist was quite firm. I ended up buying a $12 pair of seamless undies and those stockings that had a sticky top because I couldn't wear the suspender blt and stockings either because they showed. I then changed into the expensive stuff just before we left the reception!

I wore a kayser brazillian g. Very very comfy! And white suspender belt with white lace top stockings. I didn't need a bra but when we got home I changed into the matching cami top. And left my veil on! :p

You can get sexy comfy undies. I would recommend a pair of boylegs, made from cotton, with a sexy lace detail or something on it. This way if it is a hot day you arent going to run the risk of being chaffed.
As the others have said you can always change into a sexier pair at the reception.

I love the commando suggestions, if i did that i just know that i would end up a over t and my dress up around my head. :o
I also love susmamma idea of the red ones. Maybe you can tie in your colour scheme to your undies!!!

Sexy but comfortable. You don't want some sexy-to-look at g-string that's gonna ride up you all day and be uncomfortable. I found a really nice white satin g-string with diamantes on it - perfect!

If you don't have a "something blue" already, you could get some cute blue undies with "Mrs ..." in diamantes on the bum, or even white with blue diamantes!

i wore comfortable white underwear during the event and when we got to the hotel i had a babydoll and knickers that dh hmmm...appreciated...very much. go comfy theres enough on the day to worry about, let alone be uncomfortable. good luck.

I won't be wearing anything nice underneath my wedding dress!! I just want something practical & comfy that works :yes: My dress is HUGEEEEEEEE & I'm a small girl so I'll be struggling to walk around in it without worrying about whats going on underneath!

I might put something nice on underneath my going away outfit, if not, then we'll save the sexy stuff for the wedding night ;)
