Hello i've been diagnosed with a cyst and tumor on my right ovary. At the moment the cyst is 5.8cm and the tumor is 3.5cm. I've been put on the 3 month waiting list to see a gyno doctor at caboolture hospitial. I would like to know if you or anyone you know has or have got the same health problem has me. Thanks Alison:fingerscrossed:

Alison - I am so sorry to hear what you are going through at the moment. I haven't had a cyst or tumour - but I understand how scary and frustrating ANY health delays can be. Especially when you are on your TTC journey. I will be thinking of you!

I had a 8cm x 5cm cyst removed from my right ovary nearly 10 years ago ( ).
I was lucky as I had private health insurance and had it removed laparoscopically with only an overnight stay in hospital. Have since had three kids.
I think it depends on what type of cyst it is, apparently there are all different kinds!
:hugs: Thinking of you :hugs:

Ally, have you looked around at the other hospitals to see if you can get in to see a gyno any faster ? It's crazy that the waiting list is 3 months just to see them.
My Dad had a five month wait for a specialist once, I rang around and got him into one within 2 days.
Give it a go, you might be able to get this sorted a whole lot faster.
Gosh - 3 months seems a bit of a wait - you should see if you can find someone sooner - just for your peace of mind!
My thoughts are with you.
D:hugs:

Hello ladies, THANK YOU ALL for your kind thoughts and well wishes. I have gone to another hospitial Redcliffe month ago when i woke up with bad stomach pains and went to toliet and noticed blood. So partner took me to emergency ward and when i saw docto she said this is really a gyno doctor health matter and you will have to be placed on our 3 month waiting list. So i didn't stay and waste my time due to recieving a letter from caboolture hospitail confirming i'm a catergorey 2 patient and been put on their 3 month waiting list for appointment to see gyno doctor. Alison
Oh, that's no good Allycat:( I guess the one positive is now you have an answer to why you weren't conceving and why everything was all over the place? I hope you get seen to quickly, for your sake:kiss:

It does appear gloom and doom and It very much does depend on the type of cyst and the growth.
I will say though that I lost an ovary and tube at age 31 due to Ov Ca but now have two gorgeous boys, so try and hang on to that hope because stress doesn't help our bodies either.:o
Take Care:hugs: :hugs:
Oh Alison, I'm so sorry to hear about this :(
I have had cysts on my both of my ovaries in the past and had them removed by burning off during a laparoscopy operation. It's usually day surgery and depending on what type of cyst it is, most of time they are FINE :p I've also had my bub since then so it's definitely possible to conceive after the removal of the cysts.
It does SUCK that you have to wait for 3 months though :crying: Fingers crossed it won't be too long and you may get bumped up the list!
My thoughts are with you! :hugs: ((((HUGS))))
Ohh Ally I will keep you in my thoughts I hope everything turns out ok
Goodluck
I've had 3 laparoscopies as I have all sorts of problems with my ovaries including cysts. I did fertility treatment straight after the surgery and became pregnant first go after trying for 4 years. I've just had another laparoscopy last Monday and we're going back on the fertility treatment in 5 weeks time to try for number 2!!!
When you have your appointment ask lots of questions and make sure you're persistent if there's something you're not happy with, don't come away totally confused. Best of luck, I really hope it works out well for you!
