What to write on the card?

We're attending an engagement party of some very special friends of ours. I have no idea what to write on their card and silly me brought a card with all blank space :confused:

For our engagement everyone wrote the same boring thing "Congratulations". I want to write something a little more heart felt than that.
Any ideas what I could write??

well that depends on how well you know them but how about something like this.

it is amazing that in this big world two people can come together the way you have
it has been such an honour to see the love between you grow since the day you met
i am truly honoured to be able to be a part of the ceremony to cement your lives together
may the love felt between you two last forever and survive through any challenges you may face in your lives. i have faith that together will see you two still together.

(i know i am really horrid at creative writing but someone might make some changes and make it better)

Found an engagement poem (few online) but I like this, was what I was thinking but Im not that creative..


Engagement is the time between
Being two and one.
It moves so fast the mountains shift
Before the survey's done.

It's not a thing you can get used to,
Trying for a fit;
It's sheer uphill, the road to bliss,
And when you're there, that's it.

Exciting, thrilling, always new,
Full of joy and fear;
Things race by, yet move so slow
A month can take a year.

Love must wait, quite patiently,
To find its proper form;
Yet there it is, when we can look,

If your friends have WARPED sence of humor, you could get them a sympathy card. :)

LOL We did that for one of our friends, they are very warped like us. I recommend getting a nice card as well though and writing something soppy in it! :D
