As some of you may be aware there is a mums and bubs movie get together being arranged for Thurs 21/2 morning in the North Eastern suburbs.
There was some interest expressed to have one in the southern side of town for reasons varying from person to person. So I have contacted Greater Union down that way and found out that next Wednesday 27/2 at 10.30am they are having a 'babes in arms' session for the movie "Definitely Maybe".
They said it is $8.50 for adults and children under 5 are free. They leave the lights on dim so you can see what you're soing. And they set up a change table and there is plenty of room for prams and anppy bags etc.
If anyone was interested in attending this session please post in this thread so we can see if it's worth pulling something together. Below is cut & pasted from their website about the mums & bubs sessions.
Who cares about Crybabies or screaming kids?
No one. Not since we introduced our Wednesday morning Babes in Arms sessions. It's a special screening for parents who have a squirming, gurgling, fidgeting, bawling bundle of joy who may be the most beautiful baby or child in the world but who's not the ideal movie companion.
No more red faces
Until now, you've probably avoided turning up at the cinema with a baby and all that goes with it - like prams, baby bags and embarrassment. But Babes in Arms sessions are just for you and all the other parents who have missed the best the big screen has to offer just because the apple of their eye decides to compete with the Dolby surround system. Everybody is in the same boat at these screenings - and a lot of the audience is in nappies. So nobody cares.
A weekly outing at an affordable price
Babes in Arms screenings take place at the cinemas listed below every Wednesday morning outside of school holidays. You just need to pay for your admission and children under 5 are free. For participating cinemas, and session times, please click on one of the links opposite.
For parent and Child comfort, lights will remained dimmed and sound levels will be reduced for the session
