Trying to Concieve on Clomid

Hi All,

Is anyone using clomid whilst TTC and if so can you tell me a bit about it and how much it costs?

P.S: Too early for me to even consider using it as only been trying for 1 month is now my second, but just curious as I have heard some rather amazing stories. ;)

I used clomid to conceive with DD1 - can't remember the cost, but do remember that I had to take it for days 5 - 9 of my cycle and go for blood tests on day 21. As for amazing - it helped me to ovulate when I didn't normally, so that was great. Some of the side effects were not so great - hot flushes, moody, etc, plus it is very hard to relax (one of the essential of TTC) when you are counting every day. One of the main side effects to consider is the greatly increased chance of twins. I would recommend trying without it and only using it if there is a problem.

I don't know much about clomid. But have heard eating lots of sweet potatoes has a similar effect & also increases the chances of twins, but at least it's natural.
If you like sweet potatoes maybe you could try this, you never know it could work.
Although the price of sweet potatoe is quite high at the moment.

hi there,my girlfriend took clomid after having a mole preg.she gladly welcomed triplets 3 months ago at only 5 weeks early.she was told there was an increase in having twins but triplets was not that common.guess she proved them wrong.
