DD has a few patches of rough skin on her body, on each thigh and on the outside of her elbows. Im sure they are getting bigger slowley and the ones on her arms were not there when i first noticed the ones on her legs.
The skin is rough to touch and on a very close look looks like little raised bumps (but not a rash). It doesnt seem to bother her at all. You cant normally see it unless you really look but I did notice it looked a little red when she got out of the bath.

I bath her in a range of stuff even though I originally purchased some herbal products (Tri-Nature) but ended up being given a load of stuff including other products for sensitive skin and other Huggies/J&J type ones.
Im thinking of perhaps sticking to using just the herbal one for a while and see if it gets any better?? Would this be the way to go? I have started rubbing sorbelene cream into the areas.

Does it sound like Eczema? Im thinking perhaps not... I started getting it during pregnancy on the inside of my elbows but it was never that bad and just came and went. Now i get it rarely and when i have it is only in a very small area.

It does sound like eczema to me. DD2 has it and it was confirmed for us by a paediatric dermatologist. We were there for another matter, but I asked her and she confirmed it as being eczema.
I have some cream called elecon which has been subscribed by the dermatologist. We use it sparingly when it is at its worst. It is a cortisone cream so has to be used in moderation.

No one else in our direct family has it but SIL does get it. I am still unsure whether one of my boys has got, or will get it, he has had some slight spots but it has not surmounted to anything.

I have been using OMO Sensitive for washing the clothes. I have only just realised that when I dont use it, her skin flares up again.
Oh, and in the bath I use QV wash or something similar but definitely no soap.

I'm not a fan of sorbolene but thats just me. I have put paw paw on it too.

Oh friends of my mum's (old sect) have said to use oatmeal in a cloth bag in the bath. It helps!

Hope that is of some help.

Thanks for that, I wanted to add that I use all herbal (Tri-Nature) products for all washing and soaking clothes and household cleaning so I doubt any of that would be affecting her skin.

When you say 'oatmeal' do you mean oats, like rolled oats?

Ok, yeah a friend gave me some herbal bath product. I liked it but havent been able to buy it locally in the big tub yet.

 that's what I used and I had a very sheer little cloth bag. I just used to run it under the tap while filling the bath.

Just to be a pain thought I should point out that even herbal products can be irritating to sensitive skin so don't rule them out as the cause.

Frustratingly eczema can be caused by all sorts of things and what triggers it in one person can be completely different to another.
